TIME SIGNATURE

2. TIME SIGNATURE – a symbol placed at the left side of the staff
indicating the meter of a composition.
ACCENT – a stress or emphasis on a beat to mark its position in
the measure.
MEASURE – a division of a composition, containing a fixed
number of beats.
BEAT – the regular pulse of music.

3. 1. COMMON TIME – This is the most common time signature.
2. WALTZ TIME – This is the time signature for dancing waltz like
Paru-parong bukid and Bahay Kubo.
3. MARCH TIME – This is the time signature for matching music
“Lupang Hinirang”.
4. COMPOUND TIME – This have pulses that are grouped into big
beat.
