The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

5. REWARD MOTIVATION
•Some people get motivated to do any
work because of the rewards attached
to the work. The outcome may be
cash reward, any material, physical
or mental gain (benefit).
6. FEAR OR PUNISHMENT MOTIVATION
•Some people get motivated to do any
work because of the fear or punishment
connected to the work. If the outcome is
not as expected there may be the fear of
pain, punishment, any material, physical
or mental loss (disappointment).
8. INTERNAL MOTIVATION
•Internal Motivation takes place within
ourselves by way of self motivating
techniques like
•Self Talk, Self Appreciation, Auto
Suggestion, Mental Imagery,
Visualization, and Imagination.
10. WHY SHOULD WE GET MOTIVATED?
1. Self motivation only makes life interesting and
meaningful.
2. Need motivation to do anything and everything in
the best possible manner.
3. Motivation helps us to excel in all our endeavours
with enthusiasm.
4. Motivated people enjoy everyday life and make
others happy.
11. GOAL IN LIFE
•Goal Setting is the first and foremost motivator.
•Knowing well the different benefits of achieving the
goal is a motivator.
•First we must set a goal based on our skills and
capabilities.
•We must find out the ways and means to reach the goal.
•Then work hard to achieve the goal by self motivating
ourselves everyday.
