The archives contain records from 1221 to present day, divided into sections for the ancient city archives, modern city archives, and collections of individuals, families, businesses and associations. The archives relies heavily on volunteers, who have specialized expertise and contribute significantly to productivity. In 2011, volunteers repackaged and renumbered many archival collections, selected duplicates to destroy, and digitized or described thousands of photographs, drawings, plans and other archival materials. The volunteers include individuals and members of a heritage volunteer group.

Address to the conference ‘Museums in the Digital Sphere: Opportunities and Challenges’ held on 6 October 2017 at the Pinakothek der Moderne, Munich, Germany.
The event provided an opportunity to analyse the needs and wishes of museum visitors in the 21st century and to open up topics such as digital collections, transparency, and open access to public discussion. It addressed technical restrictions (databases, structures, resources) and legal limitations (copyright, image rights) as well as the opportunities created by interlinking multiple collections in comprehensive platforms such as the Deutsche Digitale Bibliothek (German Digital Library – DDB), ‘bavarikon’, Europeana and introduce initiatives such as #openGLAM.
Douglas presented Europeana, a unique digital resource where thousands of cultural institutions – from regional archives to national museums – share their collections online. Douglas emphasised the benefits of working with Europeana's community of 1700+ digital heritage and tech experts to expand and improve access to our shared cultural heritage. He outlined the opportunities for cultural institutions to showcase their collections with Europeana and to engage citizens within and beyond Europe.

Vyshyvanka: using national traditions to promote internal communications
Kyivstar is the largest mobile operator in Ukraine, serving over 25 million subscribers. To engage its team of 4,500 employees across Ukraine, Kyivstar celebrates Vyshyvanka Day, where employees wear the traditional Ukrainian embroidered shirt. Kyivstar held an interactive project where employees could design their own virtual vyshyvanka, with the 8 most popular designs produced. Over 6,500 employees visited the online atelier, with more than 600 unique vyshyvankas created and over 600 votes cast for designs.

HIV AND AIDS SITUATION ANALYSIS FOR AWF
This document provides a situation analysis of HIV/AIDS understanding among staff of the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) and Tanzania Land Conservation Trust (TLCT) in Arusha, Tanzania. Data was collected through questionnaires with 32 staff and 3 focus group discussions. Key findings include: HIV/AIDS understanding was lower among TLCT staff compared to AWF staff; knowledge of stigma was low for both but cultural beliefs influenced perceptions more for TLCT staff; the HIV/AIDS workplace policy at AWF was known by some senior staff but not support staff. Recommendations focus on continuing education, voluntary counseling and testing, integrating HIV/AIDS into conservation work, reviewing policies, and establishing staff savings programs.
