On Monday, September 26th, I worked in Crystal s office and went canvassing.
While in her office, I sorted through a long list of people and individually wrote
down the name and numbers of those who signed up for canvassing. I then called
every person who signed up and invited them to the canvassing party that took
place on Saturday from 2 5pm. This was my first time making phone calls. Since I

In his play An inspector calls , J.B Priestley uses the inspector to put across his
critical views of society, these are inequality between classes, genders and wealth.
Priestley also presents the inspector in a godly manner. The inspector is presented
mysteriously and he has many role and functions like to make the audience question
their own actions, to show the audience what Priestley thinks of society and to teach
us about inequality between classes and genders.
At the start of Act one the playwright makes the role of the inspector to drive the
narrative and tells the story of what happened. He uses the inspector engage the
audience as he reveals the story and he has a dominant stage presence. This is shown
in when the inspector enters he creates an impression of massiveness. This portrays
that the inspector is used to draw the audiences attention to him because the audience
question why a impression of dominance has been created. The use of massiveness
shows that Priestley uses the character of the inspector to tell the story of the play, to
engage the audience and to show that the inspector is the protagonist.
The playwright also uses the role of the inspector to engages the audience is with
pauses and stage directions. He acts as he is more important than the birling and his
family.This is shown in the use off stage direction cutting in with authority. This
shows that it will engage the audience

Symbolism And Symbolism Of Russian Literature
Do we need symbolism? As a matter of fact, yes, we do and it s everywhere in our
society. Symbolism is often used of an object or an image or a word to represent or
to show the deeper and significant meaning of it. Throughout this Modern Russian
Literature course, I had noticed that many Russian poets who experienced a
complicated lifetimes had used this term to give hint and imagination to the reader
instead of just spoke it out. For instance, talking about the country of Russia, the flag
of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics have its own meaning as well, a gold
hammer crossed with a gold sickle which represented the hierarchy of people such as
industries workers and peasants in Russia and where is located beneath the gold star in
Slip oops! Too bad! He symbolized Black as cold and dark winter night and white
snow as purity but not actually true because we could find it more complicated
were deep inside it which showed of the ice . This created an imagination of the
scene of his poem to the reader and symbolized how bad it was in such
circumstance during the period of warfare in Russia. He got away, the scum! Just
wait, Tomorrow I ll take care of you! But where is Kat ka? She s dead, she s dead!
She s been shot right through the head! In this poem, it was told that the dramatic
life of the red guards who unconsciously fell into a love triangle with a prostitute
named Kat ka, but ended up the woman was killed which made it pathetic in a way.
At the end of the poem, he wrote, In the scattered, pearl like snow, Growned with a
wreath of rose white, Ahead of them goes Jesus Christ. Blok implied that god
appears and its represented pure love and somehow peace, which made the entire
sadness poem became ironic. Furthermore, it could be tell that the dark force of the
chaos in Russia and reveal how cruel the reality was. Blok had wrote another two
poetry named, A girl was singing and the stranger and both used the form of words
to describe each of the character, but in the opposite ways. The first poem, he stated,
Her voice soared up to the dome. Glistening, a sunbeam brushed her shoulder in its
flight, and from the darkness all were listening to the white dress

Mytilus Californianus are known as California mussels that form dense mussel beds
and considered one of the most abundant intertidal organisms. They are found
clustered together in the upper middle zone on the open coast. Mytilus
Californianus attach themselves to rocks by byssal threads. They have geographic
range from the Aleutian Islands of Alaska to northern Mexico of Baja California
(Morris et al. 1980). It provides habitat, refuge, and provides food for over 300 other
species including human (rust, 2011). For long period of time, human use these
mussels as a food source. These mussels can grow up to 130 to 150mm in size but

Californianus) Fisheries Biology and Fisheries Programs by D. Schmidt: mortality of
this species can be caused by temperature extremes, desiccation at higher intertidal
positions, low salinity, sedimentation, excessive wave action with associated log
battering, predation, and disease and parasites (seed, 1976). In addition, there is
potential for these mussels to go extinct. According to the article: Climate Change,
Keystone Predation, and Biodiversity Loss by Christopher D. G. Harley, an
experimental study indicated two local extinction rates of Mytilus Californianus were
recorded when comparing the results between 1957 1958 and 2009 2010. It was
found that under upper and lower limit of Mytilus Californianus, 236.3 (upper limit)
and 188.3 (lower limit) were present in the area of Muir Creek and 298.7 (upper limit)
and 201.5 (lower limit) were present in the area of Desolation spit through the year
1957 1958. However, the population went extinct in both of these areas throughout
the year 2009 2010. It was mentioned that the 2 sites, Muir Creek and Desolation Spit
lost the population of Mytilus Californianus due to high temperature. Other than
