The document provides instructions for explaining the difference between two things using the example of comparing a private meeting and a public meeting. It outlines a three-step process: 1) look at the descriptions of both items, 2) underline where the same aspect is handled differently, and 3) write down the underlined aspects of one item contrasted with the other. Following these steps would yield a three sentence response explaining that public meetings can be attended by any member of the public but private meetings are usually only for members, notices for public meetings are through media but private notices go directly to members, and binding decisions can be made at private meetings unlike public meetings.
The power of your voice is immense. Its the strongest communication tool you have. Just like your impression of others are bound up with how they sound, your voice tells people a lot about you, even more than what you wear. People who hear your voice make immediate judgements and assumptions about you. Your voice has the power to lift others or to break them. Your voice can open up such opportunities for you that you cannot imagine!
As a parent or teacher you can give children and students the confidence to reach their highest potential or you can destroy their confidence and self-respect
As a husband or wife you can make your marriage grow and flourish or can end up miserable and very alone.
As a son or daughter you can give your parents such peace of mind that the gates of Jannah can be opened for you or you can dig a grave for yourself that is fuelled by the scorching fire of Jahannam.
As a speaker or leader you can energise and empower your listeners so that they are ready to sacrifice all that is of worth to them for the worthy cause you call for, or you can bring them down to their knees and demotivate or victimise them
Speaking is such an important part of us. If we can’t get this right we can lead ourselves to destruction and serious stress.
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “...the whole body warns the tongue saying, “Fear Allah concerning us, for we are (dependant) upon you. If you are upright then we will be upright and if you are corrupt then we will be corrupt.” - Sunan at-Tirmidhi
Abu Hurairah (ra) also reported that the Prophet (saw) said, “Indeed a servant may say a word from which Allah’s pleasure is gained and the servant does not realize it, Allah will raise him up levels. Indeed a servant may say a word from which Allah’s displeasure is gained and he does not realize it, Allah will put him in Jahanam due to it.” - Sahih al-Bukhari
This module is not to be missed! How much do you care about the way you influence or impact others around you from the way you talk and your voice.
In just over 2 hrs you will learn how to:
Speak positively and empower your children, partner, parents, friends and listeners
Engage listeners by appealing to them, encouraging them and building their confidence
Orchestrate your voice, not just what you say but the sound of your voice to have the greatest impact you never thought you had!
More importantly... REVIVE THE SUNNAH OF SPEAKING!

After watching the media clip, there was a lot that was observed. The first thing that was noticed was in the beginning when Tony was walking. While the weather was nice, quiet and peaceful, Tony appeared that he was not able to relax as he would look over his shoulder. It was as if he was concerned that someone was following him (Colorado State University, 1997). This can be common in individuals who have dissociative identity disorder, formerly known as multiple personality disorder (Boysen & VanBergen, 2013).
During the counseling session, several alters emerged. When he was himself, Tony appeared anxious and he constantly rung his fingers. His hands were shaking and his eyes blinked repeatedly When Anthony emerged, he was scared and fearful, which could be contributed to his age, since Anthony was a child. When another alter emerged, Richard, the mood and demeanor changed drastically. Richard appeared angry and agitated. He appeared to grow annoyed when the therapist asked him several questions. When Tony came back to himself, he appeared more calm but confused as to what all transpired (Colorado State University, 1997).
For many individuals with DID, memory recollection can be an issue. There is even debate as to whether individuals are responsible for their actions if they suffer from DID (Maiese, 2017). While there is still much research to be done on DID, many individuals who suffer from DID have suffered horrific trauma such as sexual or physical abuse (Boysen & VanBergen, 2013). This can leave individuals feeling broken. While the world is a broken world and bad things can happen, God can help heal the broken. Luke 4:18 (ERV) says, “The Spirit of the Lord is on me. He has chosen me to tell good news to the poor. He sent me to tell prisoners that they are free and to tell the blind that they can see again. He sent me to free those who have been treated badly.”

Do you know why numbers look like they do? Someone, at some point in time, had to create their shapes and meaning.
Watch this short presentation and then you will know how our Arabic numbers were originally created a very long time ago and what logic the people that created them used to determine their shapes. It is really very simple and quite creative.
You have to admire the intelligence of a person or people that created something so simple and perfect that it has lasted thousands and thousands of years and will probably never change.
When the presentation gets to the number "seven" you will notice that the7 has a line through the middle of it. That was the way the Arabic 7 was originally written, and in Europe and certain other areas they still write the 7 that way. Also, in the military, they commonly write it that way. The nine has a kind of curly tail on it that has been reduced, for the most part nowadays, to a simple curve, but the logic involved still applies.

Mechanical Technology Grade 12 Chapter 2 Technology, Society & Environment
CModule 6 explain the difference
1. In the exam you could be asked to
explain what is meant by one thing
and contrast it with something else.
How do we explain the
difference between things?
Let us look at this example:
4. NOTE 1
Look at the marks allocated. If 8 marks are
given, then FOUR differences must be found; if 6
marks, then THREE differences; if 4 marks, then
TWO differences.
5. NOTE 2
When you are asked to explain, DO NOT put in
an example unless you are asked for one as well.
6. STEP ONE
• Look at the descriptions (or the definitions, if
there are) of both types of meetings.
• 2. Highlight where the same aspect is
considered, but handled differently in the two
types of meeting.
7. STEP TWO
Underline
Public meetings may be attended by any member of the
public and are usually held to discuss political issues or
matters of social, environmental and economic interest. .
Notices of these meetings usually appear in newspapers,
pamphlets and on posters. As a rule no binding decisions
are taken at public meetings.
Examples are political rallies, public marches, meetings
dealing with anti-animal cruelty matters, religious
campaign gatherings, etc
8. STEP TWO continued
Underline
Although non-members are sometimes invited to
attend private meetings, these meetings are
usually attended by members only. Only members
are allowed to vote, and binding decisions may be
taken. Notices are sent directly to members. The
most common private meetings are general
meetings, committee meetings and command
(management) meetings. Meetings of sports clubs,
cultural societies, school governing bodies, church
councils etc. are all examples of private meetings.
9. STEP THREE
Write down each underlined point for the public
meeting as a contrast to the same point under
the private meeting.
10. How to express the differences
Words like “but”, “however” and
“yet” indicate that a difference is
being pointed out.
11. ANSWER
• Public meetings may be attended
by any member of the public, but
private meetings are usually open
to members only.
[2]
12. ANSWER
• Notices of public meetings usually
appear in the media, but for
private meetings notices are sent
personally to members.
[2]
13. ANSWER
• Usually no binding decisions are
taken at public meetings.
However, at private meetings,
members may vote and binding
decisions can be taken.
