Lorraine Mabusela has dedicated her life to restoring the dignity of sick and destitute people by operating the Tumelo Hospice Centre in Mabopane, which cares for 62 HIV-positive individuals and others with serious illnesses. After resigning from her insurance job in 2004, she converted an old building into a hospice with the help of community donations and volunteers. Today, the center has 26 caregivers who provide hope, love, and care, ensuring that the sick can die with dignity.
