TCIL started manufacturing tinplate s.
TCIL establishes new cold rolling facility in 1997.
TCIL supplied to 4 major product segments: Edible oil cans, soft drink crowns, processed food and
batteries.
TCIL was established to manufacture tinplate to meet the demand for 15 liter tin cans for kerosene.
From packaging TCIL also started their manufacturing operations of tinplate s with their thickness
ranging from .17 to .30 millimeters. The new cold rolling facility along with supply of hot rolled coils
enabled TCIL to receive uninterrupted supply of raw materials.
The varied buying influences reflected different factors at work in different sectors.
Customer might prefer a alternate supplier because of his low price.
TCIL must be aware that customer might give up perquisites in order to get low price.

How Stress Affects Memory
Memory is the internal representation of an event or experience and is a constructive process that
organizes and shapes information. Memory allows people to learn from personal experiences and learn
to adapt and respond to the changing environment. Memory plays a critical role in learning processes.
Memory allows for information storage and retrieval of information previously learned. Memory and
learning are interdependent in that memory exists because of previous learning, and learning needs
memory to create connections and build upon learned knowledge. Research confirms that acute stress
affects memory. The techniques used to learn material affects the strength of memory against the
effects of stress. Researchers Amy M. Smith, Victoria A. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Half of the participants restudied the terms in a study practice (SP), while the half of participants
restudied using retrieval practice (RP). After studying each set of stimuli separately, the SP group
restudied the 60 stimuli, while the RP group recalled the words in any order. Both groups then were
distracted for period of time, and then restudied and recalled all 60 stimuli again. After 24 hours 30 SP
participants and 30 RP participants underwent stress induction while the other half of participants
remained unstressed. Participants were given Test 1, recalling words or images, after 5 minutes of
stress induction to examine the effect of immediate stress on memory. After 20 more minutes passed,
participants were then given Test 2, recalling words or images not on Test 1. The second test was used
examine the effect of delayed stress on memory.
The results of the studied showed that stress induced SP participants recalled fewer items on test 2
than non stressed SP participants, whereas there was not a difference in the RP group. Memory
impairment caused by stress only resulted in the SP group. In addition, the stressed RP participants
showed the performed equally to the non stressed RP implying that stress has no affect on memory
when retrieval practice is used to learn material. The researchers also found that stress had no
immediate effect on memory for either group of

Jim Crow Laws And Anti-Miscegenation Laws
Enacted by lawmakers bitter about the loss against the North, Jim Crow Laws blatantly favored whites
and repressed those of color as many refused to welcome blacks into civic life, still believing them to
be inferior. These laws were essentially a legalized legislative barrier to the freedom promised by our
constitution, and the newly won war against the southern states to end slavery. This institutionalized
form of inequality spread like a wildfire in the subsequent decades, separating the races in every way
imaginable; in all walks of life. Although these laws varied from state to state, we see a common trend
of laws keeping blacks and whites separated, particularly in social settings and social institutions.
Some of these laws include but are not limited to marriage, hospitalization, restrooms, public
transportation, and prisons; all of which isolating blacks from whites. We even find laws regarding
liquor licensing such as a law in Georgia which required all persons licensed to sell alcohol, to serve
exclusively whites or exclusively colored people; prohibiting sales to the two races simultaneously
(NPS, 2015). Laws such as this were not few and far between. Segregation of blacks became a
defining custom in nearly every aspect of life in the mid nineteenth century well into the mid twentieth
century.
When reviewing the history of these laws and researching their application throughout the various
states, one law stood out to me as remarkably insensitive:

Spider Woman Worldview Research Paper
Owen James The indigenous worldview was very holistic. They believed that everything was in
balance, including male and female power, and everything was sacred. These views are reflected in
the creation stories When Jesus came, the corn maidens left and the sacred pipe . In the corn maiden s
story, everything is in perfect balance and society is functioning until a priest inappropriately touches
one of the maiden s. Outraged by this, the maiden s go away and let the people go into famine, as a
way to make sure everyone knows that they are not to be seen sexually (Gutierrez). The story of spider
woman provides that there is a collaborative effort in creation stories (Serinity Young 225). There
weren t only male deities; there were female deities as well. So, this is empowering to women. This
worldview defined women as equal parts to men. Women were all holy and sacred beings. Power was
spread out differently but between men and women it was all balanced. Women held a big role in
society. According to European intellectuals , women holding power was primitive (Women Religious
Traditions 142). Women in this society were healers. This includes mind, body and spirit (Women
Religious Traditions 145). Women were also close to God, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

insights that heterosexual people didn t have (Women Religious Traditions 153). Women were

The children s act 1989 was amended in 2004. The children s act has placed organisations to safeguard

discouraged me from doing it. During the revolution, two great uncles were Contras and the other two
siblings were Sandinistas. This was an important thing when taking into consideration my family s

already interested in Politics, I was the only child in the family at the time, so I was more like an adult,
I heard the sunday conversations, I asked questions despite the several attempts to dismiss me for

Essay on Abortion Policy
Abortion Policy Abortion is one of about six major issues that the public considers when voting
(Witwer). It is a complex issue that has been passionately debated for centuries. The various methods
used to carry out the procedure range from disassembling the fetus and crushing the skull in order to
suck it all out of the woman s womb to the procedure called RU 486, that gives the woman a pill to
prevent her body from giving the fetus the nutrients to stay alive. Also, some consider certain forms of
birth control, Norplant, IUD, and emergency contraceptives to be abortions as well. Many people
argue about when in the pregnancy abortions should be allowed, if there should be an age limit, if
abortion should be allowed only in certain ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
(Wlezien). Those in the pro life group are typically much less educated, poorer, conservative and
Christian. Organizations such as the NARL (National Abortion and Reproductive Rights Action
League) and Choice USA are a few of the pro choice groups (Wlezien) (Luker, pg.3). Public opinion
presents an important part when deciding a stance. Class, location, beliefs, age, and political
affiliations contribute to the difference of opinion among people. According to an article printed in
Political Behavior, authors Wlezein and Goggin suggest that public opinion on abortion varies little
through the years with a large increase in the 1980 s that resulted in the majority of the public being in
favor of abortion as it is now (Wlezien, 381). Since the decision of Roe V. Wade in 1973,
approximately 23% of adults believe abortion should be legal in all cases, 19% believe it should be
illegal in all cases and a majority of 56% believe it should be legal in some cases (Wlezien, 381).
Wlezein and Goggin conducted a general social survey that indicated that an overwhelming majority
of at least 81% proved that a legal abortion should be possible if the woman s health is seriously
endangered by the pregnancy, if she became pregnant as a result of a rape, or if there is a strong
possibility of a defect in the baby (Witwer). Though this data is from 1989, a poll conducted in 1999

A Good Life Essay
Throughout this semester we have struggled to define the common good and what constitutes a good
life. While the definition of what is a good life can vary from person to person, whether that mean
academic achievement, financial success, or a certain social status; for me, a good life is a life driven
through goals and purpose. A life in which you set goals and strive to reach them despite the physical,
mental, or emotional obstacles that can get in your way. In Viktor Frankl s What is a Good Life?
Frankl states that, Everything can be taken from a man but one thing... the last of the human freedoms
to choose one s attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one s own way. This statement
stands out to me because, I believe that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Often times when it comes to service, you, yourself are leading a meaningful life in order to give those
you are helping a happy life, because without you they wouldn t have either. This experience, as well
as being surrounded by these individuals has led me to develop a passion for the victims of domestic
violence and has pushed me to be as involved as I can to help reach the goal of eliminating this issue
all together. I think this relates to several of the things we have read in class, for example, in The
Humanitarian Leader in Each of Us where Inderjit Khurana focused on the children in the train
stations, not the 20,000 children in Bhubaneswar who are not in school (LaFasto and Larson, 50). I
know that I alone cannot eliminate domestic violence, but I choose to focus on the women and
children of my county. Not only has this experience given meaning to my life, it has also brought me
happiness in that I am more thankful for the things that I have and the people that are in my life.
Which ultimately for me, defines a good life.
I also believe my service relates to the other part that I stated about how the good life is one where you
strive to achieve goals despite obstacles, and I think this relates very well to Brian Stevenson and his
work. Not only did he work in a similar way to Inderjit Khurana and Mama Liz of The Humanitarian
Leader in Each of Us, where he strove to help those that he was capable of helping, therefore focusing
on the people, not the problem;

Journey Motif Essay
In literature, the Journey is often a metaphor for discovery. The journey motif is used in Coleridge s
The Rime of the Ancient Mariner. It is also shown in Hawthorne s My Kinsman, Major Molineux and
Young Goodman Brown. In these stories, each main character changes sometime between the
beginning and the end of the story. In addition, religion plays a part in each of these stories. Typically,
in journey literature the hero encounters several obstacles that he or she must overcome.
In Coleridge s The Rime of the Ancient Mariner, the Mariner shows negativity. The Mariners moral
vision is so impaired that his comparisons are persistently pessimistic. This pessimism is seen
repeatedly in the similes that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
By this, the Mariner shows the beginning of his attitude change. At this point in the poem, the Mariner
s fate begins to change when he is rescued by a hermit. The Mariner endures tremendous physical
agony and starts to recognize the importance of all living things after his lowest point, the curse. An
example of this is when the spell breaks at the point in which the snakes are blessed. As he regains a
sense of beauty, the Mariner observes the snakes and realizes how beautiful they are. He begins to see
things brightly and the mariner s comparisons and references are less pessimistic and dark.
Hawthorne s My Kinsman, Major Molineux, Robin s Journey is clear. Robin is on a journey to find
Major Molineux and it is his first journey to town. It is ironic about his shrewd youth; as he continues
his journey, he becomes shrewd. His journey is an acquisition of learning, especially since he only has
the education of a youth. When Robin goes into the tavern, he is guided by a murmur of voices. He is
confident enough when speaking to the innkeeper that he is befitted to be the Major s relative. Robin
doesn t understand parts of his journey with the innkeeper as his guide. As the story moves on, Robin
starts to be less confident and instead, more cautious. Doubt begins to seep in. Although he feels
sympathy, he gives into the opportunities that he has. Robin begins to get desperate and starts to

Menopausal Hormone Replacement Therapy Essay
There has been conflicting research and advice about the safety of hormones with the increase in the
aging female population within the last twenty years (National Institute on Aging). Hormone therapy
has demonstrated to be the most effective FDA approved medication in the relief of menopausal
symptoms, but these benefits must be weighed against serious adverse effects that hormones can
cause. Although many women differ in their response to hormone products, MHT has been universally
linked to an increased risk of heart disease, heart attack, blood clots, and strokes. Concerns about the
findings discovered in the clinical and observation trials performed on MHT, have left some doctors

Although, estrogen is produced by other organs in the body, estrogen output is significantly decreased
in premenopausal women, and progesterone becomes nearly absent. Symptoms can emerge as the
female body adjusts to the decrease in estrogen levels as a result of natural or surgical menopause.
Conversely, some women may experience no symptoms where others may experience one or all.
Inadequate estrogen levels can also contribute to changes in the vaginal and urinary tracts, which can
cause painful intercourse and urinary infections. Symptoms may last for several months or years and
have been reported to vary greatly in onset and severity. Fleeting hot flashes, night sweats, and fatigue
are the most frequently communicated symptoms. Osteoporosis, a condition characterized by decrease
in bone mass and density, causes the bones to become fragile and is a long term condition associated
with menopause. Menopause is not a disease or a disorder that requires treatment in all causes. For
some women many of the symptoms associated with menopause will subside over time. However,
there are women who struggle with coping with their symptoms and as symptoms persist and progress
they begin to decrease the quality of life. There are options for treatment of menopausal symptoms.

means acting ethically, and in the best interest of your client 100 percent of the time. This means that a

They must be able to communicate efficiently with their teammates, as well as their clients. A trusted

During my senior year it was my turn to become the leader of our team, and it was my turn to bring
our team together. In order to build a strong working relationship with a team you first need to create
the proper environment for everyone. For a team to thrive each teammate must care for one another.
To create an environment like this our senior class would regularly schedule team bonding activities to
bring everyone closer together. Along with that, all of the players knew that they could come to us if
they needed help with anything, or if something was wrong. The second crucial part of building a
strong working relationship with a team is communication. My senior class and I knew that we had to
effectively communicate what we expected from our team, and have everyone buy into a common
goal (win a championship). We also knew that we had to allow everyone on the team a voice, so we
created an environment where people could speak their mind if they wanted to, and we would keep an
open mind. By executing the things I talked about above, my senior class and I were able to create the
closest team that I had been a part of in all four years of

The Metropolitan Museum of Art has works from artists known around the world for their beautiful
creations. My focus was on artists from Spain, two of which were Diego Vel√°zquez and El Greco
from the seventeenth century. During the seventeenth century, many Spanish painters were getting
commissioned around the world to paint for monarchs. Diego Velazquez was born in Seville, Spain.
During his lifetime, he had visited Italy in search of artistic inspiration. Italy, which happened to be
very religious at the time, influenced Velazquez to include religion in many of his works, but those are

El Greco was born in Crete, Greece, where he mastered Byzantine, and also Post Byzantine, art, which
is similar to Diego Velazquez. El Greco, like Diego Velazquez, also portrays religion vastly in his
paintings such as works like Opening of the Fifth Seal (1609, El Greco). In this piece he has the
people portrayed in a way as if they would be calling out or reaching out to grab something or
someone. The naked individuals are prosecuted martyrs are said to be crying out to god for justice
upon their persecutors on Earth (Book of Revelation (6:9 11)). However, El Greco was focused mainly
on mannerism, that dominated Italy all throughout the sixteenth century. He learned mannerism when
he moved from Crete to Rome, and he also learned more about the Venetian Renaissance. Velazquez
and his works had nothing to do with mannerism. But nonetheless, both El Greco and Diego
Velazquez, due to their time spent in Italy, used Venetian colors: neutral, conservative shades of
greens, reds, blues, grays and yellows. Spanish artists tended to move around a lot during their era to
learn how to perfect their crafts, and Italy was a hub of their era for art. People were very critical of El
Greco because of his demeanor towards God and religion. Although his works tended to be focused on
religion, it was not in a very good way. He would put people on top of Christ in his paintings, which
did not sit well in Italy or

The Ethics Of Stem Cell Research
The new millennium has brought with it astonishing discoveries in biomedical sciences. Microarray
technology, completion of the human genome sequence and improved efficiencies of drug discovery,
ultrahigh screening technologies brought modern society into completely new approach of treating
major chronic diseases that seemed to be dreadful for life in the earlier stages of humanity. Along with
these outstanding medical advances a self renewing stem cell that regenerates and gives rise to all
cells and tissues of the body was discovered. The controversy of such finding of abilities of stem cell

Stem cells have an extraordinary potential to develop into many different cell types in the body. They
serve as a repair system by replenishing other cells in a human s or animal s organism. It divides
without limit and is able to transform into another type of cell with a more specialized function which
is missing in the body. Such cells can be a muscle cell, a brain cell, or a red blood cell. Stem cells are
essential for many reasons. They give rise to the entire body of the organism, including many organs
like eggs, heart, sperm, skin, lungs and etc. Stem cells also precipitate replacements for cells that are
lost through injury, disease, normal wear, or tear in adult marrow, brain, and muscle. Stem cells, with
their unique regenerative abilities, have great potential in treating many diseases including diabetes,
cancer, heart disease, Parkinson s disease, Alzheimer s disease, stroke, and birth defects. Scientists use
stem cells in their research to develop modal systems which help them to study normal growth of an
organism and to determine the causes of birth defects. Authors in their book The Human Embryonic
Stem Cell Debate: Science, Ethics, and Public Policy write about the benefits of stem cells for those
who suffer from different diseases, Patients with stroke or spinal cord injuries could receive cell based
treatments that would restore central nervous system function, thereby enabling them to maintain
functional independence (page 3).

Application For Xpertrule And Ethical Issues
Work Related Application for XpertRule and Ethical Issues
The range of applications for XpertRule system to manufacturing, marketing, and sales is so wide.
The system is wide ranging as helping a banker in making financial decisions to helping university
advisors and university students to plan and schedule appointments. For example, in a financial
service industry, XpertRule system can be used by bankers as an advisory system to help make
decisions on whether to make a loan available to individuals or businesses. Globalization and modern
technology have created competition in the financial industry and these competitions come with risks.
Therefore, risk management in the financial industry is important. So persuading superiors in a
financial industry such as in a bank, would not be so difficult because risk management is needed in
credit, operations, and market. Risk management in banks does not only involve planning and backup
but also technical assistance that helps bank managers take quick action and manage all risks (Mali
Kulkarni, n.d). This would help increase quality, reduce error, decrease manpower, security system in
banks, increase speed for complex tasking, increase customer service, and improve decisions (Mali
Kulkarni, n.d).
Although this system has some persuasive advantages, it could also be opposed because it might be
deskilling decision markers. The use of this system could result in the unwarranted reliance on the

The Importance Of Antisocial Behavior
The prefrontal cortex is responsible for higher mental functions such as personality, attention, arousal,
behaviour control etc., as well as being closely linked with structures involved in emotion and
memory development (e.g. the amygdala). Damage to the PFC may disrupt normal behaviour
functioning and cause some individuals to engage in negative, antisocial behaviours, or even have an
extremely negative personality change. However, arguments suggest the behaviour may be a result of
poor childhood upbringing with negative social surroundings.
S.2.1a of the Anti Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 defines antisocial behaviour as
conduct that has caused, or is likely to cause, harassment, alarm or distress to any person . Individuals
who are antisocial tend to be very impulsive, inconsiderate of others, lack motivation in personal
progression and disregard social norms.
It is argued that the trait is caused by social influences, such as strict disciplinary enforcements by
parents, bullying behaviours within families and ignorance of prosocial acts, causing an operant
conditioning of negative and abusive behaviour to be forced upon the child (Patterson Debaryshe,
Ramsey, 1990).
Further arguments suggest antisocial behaviour is a result of poor welfare, by the mother, during
prenatal stages such as smoking. (Liu Wuerker, 2005). Exposure to nicotine in the womb has been
associated with altering the brain s chemical levels, such as reducing levels of dopamine and

When reading a book there s a special order that we like to follow. We see it manually from left to
right, but that s not the same case when looking at a picture we tend to open up our eyes and look at it
at every angle. Once you ve reread a book you ll start seeing it as a painting instead of a regular book.
Once you ve cracked open the case, now the reader can enter the game. And that s when the magic
begins and people start praising the book and actually appreciate it. The attitude you bring into a book
is fairly important when reading it. That is a very clever way of seeing what the meaning of reading is.
However, when we come back, we will see how Mr. Holt defines reading based on his own
experiences and work he has done. (commercial break) We are back! This morning we have been

How Can Family Law Be Reformed
Family and Welfare Law Summative Essay:
Analyse the impact of the five facts upon which a divorce may be based and discuss the arguments
surrounding the creation of a no fault divorce system. To what extent do you consider the law in this
area should be reformed?
1. Analyse impact of 5 facts
2. Argue no fault divorce system
3. Reform
Intro:
The law of divorce has drastically evolved through the years and encompasses the process of
terminating a valid marriage between a woman and a man, ultimately ending their relationship.
Contemporary developments in English law have altered the principal basis of divorce by substituting
irretrievable breakdown of marriage in place of the fault oriented grounds, which is the only ground
for a divorce. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

There exists some confusion to what adultery is deemed to mean, however, definitions have been

of whom at least is a married person.

The fact of behaviour requires that the respondent behaved in such a way that the petitioner cannot

New Jim Crow Laws Essay
As of 2010, thirteen and a half percent (13 ¬Ω%) of all African Americans comprise the U.S.
population. Look back one hundred to two hundred (100 200) years ago, the African American
population has gone through strife. The real question is still pending, is it much easier for African
American during the pre Civil Rights Movement Era that now? My opinion is that it is better. The
reason why I coined my opinion is to show that there have been stops in racial caste, media creating
propaganda, and blacks advancing in parts of the world. By producing these parts, I will introduce the
idea that the African American life has evolved for the better. In the article of the New Jim Crow Laws

Rhetorical Analysis Thoreau
Questions on Rhetoric and Style:
1. Describe the tone Thoreau establishes in paragraph 2. How does it contribute to the rhetorical effect
of the paragraph? In paragraph two, Thoreau uses a depressing, problematic and facetious tone to get
his message across. Thoreau explains how he is strongly against the United States government, and
also points out problems of the government. Thoreau uses depressing diction when describing the
problems of the government in order to make people feel hatred toward the government and realize
how problematic it actually is. Thoreau uses Power of Three to exemplify the problems of the
government, and further connects with the audience on an emotional level by pointing out how the
citizens help lead to the countries problematic state. Thoreau s use of inappropriate humor when he
explains trade makes the United States government seem trivial and almost as a lost cause due to the
problems caused by the leaders. His relation of such a serious topic to a comical reference makes it an
easier to understand situation. The use of this specific tone creates a more impactful rhetorical effect
that is relayed in the paragraph.
3. Thoreau develops many analogies to support his arguments (e.g., in paras. 8 and 9). Select three,
and explain whether you find them convincing. How effectively does each one support the claim
Thoreau is using it to support? Thoreau s use of analogies to support his arguments are very beneficial

Because of all the doctors, therapists, and other appointments it becomes imperative that you have

Low And Decreasing Self Esteem During Adolescence
Low and Decreasing Self Esteem During Adolescence Critique
Steiger, Allemand, Robins, and Fend (2014) hypothesized that not only the level but also the change in
self esteem affect depression. Using data from over a 23 year span, they investigated adolescent level
and change in self esteem and examined their predictive effects on adult depressive symptoms two
decades later. Self esteem was assessed annually from age 12 to 16, and depression was assessed at
age 16 and 35. Subsequently, they found that results demonstrated that both the level and change in
self esteem served as predictors for adult depression (Steiger et al., 2014). Individuals who entered

were added to create a total score ranging from 0 to 8. Furthermore, domain specific self esteem was

Subsequently, each self esteem domain was measured with six items. Participants rated each item on a
scale consisting of 0 for not true and 1 for true for me. The items were then added to create scores
ranging from 0 to 6. Further still, depression at age 16 was measured using 13 items from the original

Subsequently, participants were asked how often they had experienced depressive symptoms during

Thesis On 12 Angry Men
Twelve Angry Men
In the 1957 MGM film, Twelve Angry Men, a young boy from the slum is on trial for allegedly
stabbing his father to death. The jury from New York City is forced to have 12 men agree as to
whether the boy is guilty or not guilty. If they decide not guilty, the boy is set free; if he is found
guilty, the boy will receive the death sentence. In the beginning all but one agreed the boy was guilty;
Juror 8, Mr. Davis, argues that the boy deserves some deliberation. Mr. Davis changed the other
eleven jurors minds by using his core values such as keeping an open mind, staying humble, and
believing every life is valuable. By keeping an open mind, Mr. Davis was able to look into the details
of the facts presented and create an argument as to why the boy could perpetually be not guilty. Henri
Bergson, a French philosopher, said The eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend.
Everyone but Mr. Davis came into the room closed minded and was unable to see a different
perspective. They were unable to understand, sympathize and make sense of the argument Mr. Davis
was making. Mr. Davis was able to persuade one man to have an open mind; juror number five. The
two men then began to look further into the details of the evidence. This is when they discovered the
eye glass indents in the nose bridge of the woman witness. They discussed the possibility of the
woman having the ability to actually see through a moving train, across the street, and in the dark.

Answering these basic questions may summarize much of the information regarding Quasar.
What is the definition of a quasar? When radio telescopes were first turned on the heavens, point
sources of radio waves were discovered (along with spread out regions of emission along our Milky
Way). Astronomers using ordinary visible light telescopes turned toward these radio points and looked
to see what was there. In some cases a supernova remnant was found, in others, a large star birth
region, in others a distant galaxy. But in some places where point sources of radio waves were found,
no visible source other than a stellar looking object was found (it looked like a point of a star).
These objects were called the quasi stellar radio sources or quasars for short. Later, it was found these
sources could not be stars in our galaxy, but must be very far away as far as any of the distant galaxies
seen. We now think these objects are the very bright centers of some distant galaxies, where some sort
of energetic action is occurring, most probably due to the presence of a supermassive black hole at the
center of that galaxy.

University Tuition Costs are Too High Essay
The cost of tuition for higher education is quickly rising. Over half of college freshmen show some
concern with how to pay for college. This is the highest this number has been since 1971 (Marill and
O Leary 64 66, 93). The amount of college graduate debt has been rapidly increasing also. With
limited jobs available because of the high unemployment rate, college graduates find themselves
staying in debt even longer. Although grants and financial aid are available to students, students still
struggle to pay for their college tuition. Higher education costs are prohibitively expensive because the
state s revenue is low, the unemployment rate is high, and graduates cannot pay off their student loans.
One reason that higher education ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Now most receive less than 50 percent (Hulsey 24). Some schools, such as the University of
Michigan, receive less than seven percent (Hulsey 24). These numbers hit some schools extremely
hard. According to Hulsey in his article about the cost of education:
State contributions to the 2009 10 operating budget declined by $189 million at UCLA, $109 million
at University of Florida, $99 million at University of Washington, and $63 million at Louisiana State
University (LSU), according to a Nov.1, 2009, New York Times article by Paul Fain. The percentage
decline was equally significant, ranging from 33 percent at UCLA to 27 percent at LSU. (24)
As a result of this, states receive pressure to make up for this and must raise tuition. Grant donors are
also becoming less generous in their contributions to students as well. This makes affording college
even harder for students. Not only do the states low revenues cause affordability problems, but high
unemployment rates contribute as well. As of December 2009, the nation s unemployment rate was at
ten percent (Boskin 22 27). The unemployment rate for people ages twenty to twenty four is fifteen
percent (Dickler). These numbers are still significantly high. This makes finding jobs extremely
difficult for college students. Since the nation s overall unemployment rate is high, students find
themselves competing with everyone for jobs. This becomes very difficult for them. Without jobs,

This was announced through several United States newspapers, some on the same page that advertised
the Lusitania trip. One of the United States trading partners at the time was Britain, and the submarine
warfare interfered with trade and caused tension to rise. German submarines were known for watching
ships movements, so the British Admiralty warned the Lusitania to be careful in the area lined out by
the unrestricted submarine warfare. They suggested that at minimum, the liner should zigzag in order

This was established first in Section 35 of the Constitution. Previously, the Métis were not
recognized as Aboriginals and were instead called half breeds , so they did not have the same rights
given to them through treaties (such as the Indian Act and the Numbered Treaties). Even throughout
the world, Canada is the only country to recognize a biracial group, and to give them rights as
Aboriginal peoples. Without Section 35, it was easy for the Métis to be assimilated, and the transfer
of constitutional powers from Britain to Canada threatened their legal identity and rights established in
previous acts. Recognition from the Dominion of Canada preserved Métis culture, lest it fade away.
Section 35 marked the biggest change of attitude towards Aboriginals, especially Métis, from the
government. Furthermore, it affirmed their collective rights that were given through previous
legislation such as the Manitoba Act. Finally, Section 35 helps to uphold Aboriginal rights in legal
cases, so that the Métis have the power to advocate for their own rights and freedoms. Métis rights

Prostitution
Casual sex for currency has been a major part of history that many upstanding citizens frown upon or
overlook completely. ?Wherever we find evidence of human culture, we find evidence of
prostitution.? (Fanni) Prostitution may in fact be the world?s oldest profession; as early as the third
millennium B.C. In ancient times, prostitution was a way of worshipping and honoring the gods.
The first major civilization, Mesopotamia, honored the goddess Ishtar with money earned from
prostitution. The goddess Ishtar was a reflection of the planet Venus, and was reborn in the morning
only to become a ?whore? at night.
Ancient civilizations treated prostitution with little hypocrisy and an open mind. ?Prostitutes were
regarded as little more than objects to be paid a handful of coins they were also seen as a public
necessity.? Today prostitution could be more than it has ever been due to new medications and means
of protection, precautions are known and can be taken to make this job safer than it has ever been,
ultimately giving unemployed men and women who are interested a chance; currency for sex has
always been the way of mankind and will continue to be a part of mankind throughout the future.

Rimer s A Lost Moment Recaptured (2000) provides readers with stories of women s lives who have
returned to college through Smith College s Ada Comstock Scholars Program. These stories intertwine
with evidence supporting the implied claim; the typical college student is no longer the 18 to 20 year
old. Providing intimate details about the lives of these diverse women, Rimer leaves the reader
admiring their triumph over gendered expectations of generations past by going back to college.
Rimer hooks the reader immediately in the opening paragraph by describing a transforming moment

Rimer advocates that older women were faced with negative attitudes of previous generations
concerning the necessity of college attendance. This partnered with today s flexible opportunities
provided by women s colleges tailored for these women have caused the recent influx of college

claim: The typical college student is no longer 18 to 20 years old.
Critique #2
Mosher s Where Have All the Heroes Gone? (1998) questions the role sports athletes play in today s
society. Mosher takes the reader through the history of sport and its evolution in the United States.
This lays the foundation to his evaluation that society should not expect someone to possess the
characteristics of a hero simply because they are a sports athlete.
Mosher attempts to draw the reader in to the essay by starting off with quotes from top box office
movies The Natural and Bull Durham. Mosher assumes the readers have seen these movies about
fictional sports heroes and their flaws; he is writing to his audience, the sports fan. He goes on to
highlight poor character traits of sports celebrities by detailing some disturbing incidents they were
involved in. Mosher assumes the reader is aware of the factuality of these instances; there is no
supporting evidence.

The Article By Letting Clare
Amy Trauber introduces the article by letting Clare, one of the subjects in her research tell her first
hand account of her daily routine as a sustainable farmer in Central Pennsylvania, and the challenges
she faces in a male dominated work space. Clare says I get up early, eat breakfast and start picking
blueberries for market at six o clock. After picking for a couple of hours, I wash, sort and package
blueberries to sell at the farmer s market in town. After selling all day, I might work a few hours at my
off farm job since I am there. On my way home, I stop at the top of the mountain and sell more
blueberries out of the back of my car. I feed the lambs, horses, rabbit and dogs. After dinner I
supervise people who come to our house to pick blueberries until dark (Trauger, 2004, p. 289).
The author proceeds to tell a story using Clare as the central character to introduce the overall topic of
her research. She describes Claire as the well known blueberry lady who is recognized for the high
quality produce that she and her husband grow on their sustainable farm, and she highlights the fact
that Claire readily identifies herself as a farmer, versus the more traditional role of farmer s wife
making a point that this is a very important distinction. She summarizes Claire s argument that in a
more productivist, or conventional model of agriculture she would not be recognized as a farmer
(Trauger, 2004), thus underlining how sustainable agriculture provides a medium

Dracula s Vampirism
Prisilia: The pod people s goal and ways of obtaining it are similar to those done by Dracula. The pod
people begin converting the entire town of Santa Mira. This is successfully done because Miles, the
town doctor was gone from the town on a conference. This gives the aliens enough time to get the
towns people turned. However, when the pod people find out that Miles and Becky are still human and
refuse to cooperate, they send in their friends and previous allies in the form of Danny and Jack. If it
were not for them, Miles would have never opened the door. In a similar way, Dracula uses Lucy and
later on Mina to try and deflect Jonathan and his friends from successfully guarding off and eventually
finishing Dracula s master plan of taking ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The other aliens we have studied this semester are very noticeable in their intentions and actions.
However, the pod people pose as regular everyday individuals. For example, when Jimmy is crying
out for help because his mom is not the same, Miles and other seems to ignore the cry for help.
Another example is Wilma and her dad. She notices there is an emotional disconnect and distance
between them and when asking for help, she is left alone. Miles goes to observe her dad and concludes
Ira is the same person. Over all, the pod people s ability to pass as a human makes them the sneakiest

Lion Dancing
Lion Dancing Every time when you see youth swiftly glistening over the rampaging ungodly Earth
accompanied with the blistering heated wonder of the orb like sun, it can take you back to your
exhilarating days with no headaches, worries, or obligations also known as, childhood. Worries,
headaches, obligations, these are enemies within ourselves that we must overcome. These flea like
worries are infesting everyone. We are being overwhelmed by these creatures. The only ways to fight
off such beasts are to find relaxation, comfort, and soothing. These can come in different ways such as
an event, a ritual or even a location that eases your mind in tranquility. I have a special event where I
can be at ease and just enjoy: the lion ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As I head out towards the lion dance, I go through a maze like structure. On my way towards the
dance, an oppressive smell of gunpowder fills the unruly air. You can hear the deafening explosions
from the fire crackers dominating the skies. This place yet so full of commotion, I can just be at ease. I
can just enjoy what I see, the amazing spectacles that the Lion Dancers perform for me. It eludes me
in a carefree manner much like a mindset of a child. After some odd minutes, the maze is at its end.
Just a few more steps towards the carefree experience I have been striving for. Up the stairs, and
around the corner is the great spectacular I have been in search of, the lion dance. The oriental
designed lions, such use of dazzling colors. A blinding white base, with a bold red trim demonstrates
the wise lion. The single horn at the top is dignifying. Such ferociousness of the imitation of a lion, it
holds my interest on how they made it resemble the current lions so well when they didn t exist in
those parts of Asia. The thundering of the drums which so boldly overcomes the explosions from the
firecrackers initiates the dancing of the lions. The Lions with such pride and honor bow towards one
another in a sign of respect and agreement for the battle. The Buddha in high spirits guides the lions
while they brawl for the red envelope and lettuce. The footwork and

The Emergence And Passing Of Jean Toomer
Jean Toomer was born on December 26, 1894 to Nina Pinchback, and Nathan Toomer. He was born
with the name Nathan Pinchback Toomer, but it was later changed to Eugene Toomer. Toomer s
grandfather Pinckney Benton Stewart Pinchback was born a free Negro to a white planter and a
mulatto slave. Jean Toomer admired his grandfather, who served in the army during the Civil War, and
later became governor of Louisiana. His grandfather, like Toomer, was able to easily pass for black or
white. Throughout Jean Toomer s life, he struggled with his identity. As he was able to pass as white,
he would sometimes deny the fact that he was white. Rudolph P. Byrd and Henry Louis Gates Jr. write

Transnational Corporation (TNC) Networks
The term of Transnational Corporation (TNC), as its name suggests, is a reference to a firm whose
influence is not limited to a single nation. A transnational corporation is a firm that has the power to
coordinate and control operations in more than one country (Dicken, 2011, p. 110). This influence can
take many forms such as subsidiaries or production facilities in other countries, but ownership is not
mandatory for a corporation to have sway in another country. A TNC could gain power in a country
other than its home through connections to suppliers or through the act of outsourcing (Stevis,
Transnational Corporations, 2013). These connections also hint at an idea, suggested by Dicken, that
in many ways TNCs are Networks within ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
There are multitudes of roles that states can fill; which they are called upon to undertake can depend
on the type of capitalism and the wishes of the administration currently in power. One of the most
common roles of a state is to function as a regulator over the economy. Under this role, states can
provide structure to help support stable and functioning markets, such as providing the means to
protect property rights; regulations can also be used to restrict certain forms of trade, or to see that a
certain issue that is important to the population of the country is addressed (Stevis, Roles of Sates,
2013). Beyond this basic role, states can also act as both Collaborators and Competitors towards
private firms. States can collaborate to help bring a certain firm to the country, or to help others
compete in a certain market in the world political economy through subsidies and other benefits
(Stevis, Roles of Sates, 2013). States, however, can play the reverse role by competing against a firm
or market. This can take the form of both direct competition, such as through state owned enterprises,
or more indirect methods, subsidizing an opposing industry (Stevis, State Capitalism, 2013).
Relationship of States and TNCs Like the variance in the roles many states take on, the interactions of
states and TNCs can differ greatly. While it depends significantly on the form of capitalism the state
adheres to, the

The first concentration camp was established on December 7,1941 and that s when the first victims of
the extermination were killed. The Chelmno concentration camp killed all the Jews in the area besides

The Chelmno concentration camp was the first camp made for the final solution. They made the main

The camp effected the jew and other in it by killing most of them in it. The chelmno concentration
camp killed the whole Jewish population of Warthegau( Chelmno 3). Chelmno concentration camp
operated three trucks that killed the Jews and others with carbon monoxide. They killed about 150
300,000 people in the Chelmno concentration camp( Chelmno 1). Chelmno transferred jews and
others in trucks and usually transferred them to the camp a lot of Jews and they transferred some of
them in cars so they wouldn t be suspicious( Chelmno 3). 88 children from the town of Czech Town of

deported from the Lodz Ghetto were killed in the Chelmno concentration camp( Chelmno 4). The
deportees that came to the camp were all enclosed wagons. They were either trucked or foot onto

Simul8 Report
MATH2013 Simulation Assignment
1.0 Introduction
The aim of the assignment was to find a staffing solution for a call centre with two types of calls (1, 2)
and three types of agents, two of which specialists (agent 1 and agent 2) and a generalist (agent 3) who
handles both types of calls on two types of days Heavy 1, with more type 1 calls and Heavy 2, with
more type 2 calls. The staffing solution should meet two performance constraints:
The Quality of Service, QoS, should be at least 70%.
The fraction of abandoned calls should not exceed 5%.
The simulation software, Simul8 was used to set up such a staffing.

3.3 Elimination of Intra Day Variability of Arrival Rates
1. Using staffing option (c) and a uniform arrival rate of 1.8 calls per minute, the fraction of
abandoned calls decreased to 3.92%, and QoS increased to 87.5% compared to the intra day
variability rates.
Using option (b), consisting of 6 specialists for each type and 8 generalists, 5.48% of the calls were
abandoned and the QoS decreased to 83% as opposed to 87.5% when using option (c).
2. Considering options (d) and (e), where (d) has fewer generalists, with an arrival rate of 1.8 calls per
minute.
Option (d) yielded a fraction 3.55% abandoned calls whereas for option (e), only 3.32% of the calls
were abandoned. Similarly, The QoS for option (d) was 89.5%, compared to 91.5% for option (e).
3. Considering options (f) and (j), with an inter arrival rate of 1.8 calls per minute.
It was observed that 5.25% of the calls were abandoned when option (f) was used, and the QoS was
83.5%. On the other hand, option (j) yielded 3.96% abandoned calls and a QoS of 87.5%.
According to the above results, the managers belief that the need for generalists would decrease (while
keeping the number of specialists the same) is not true since the decrease in generalists yield results
that do not satisfy the constraints.
However, the staffing performance would be remarkably better, as it has been observed when using

Minimum wage earners (MWEs) are exempt from the payment of income tax on their taxable income.
Holiday pay, overtime pay, night shift differential pay and hazard pay received by such MWEs also is
exempt. However, an employee who receives/earns additional compensation, such as commissions,
honoraria, fringe benefits, benefits in excess of the non taxable ceiling of PHP 30,000 taxable
allowances and taxable income other than the exempt remuneration mentioned above do not qualify as
an MWE and, therefore, his/her entire earnings are not exempt from income tax. In lieu of itemized
deductions, an individual may elect to use the optional standard deduction (OSD), which may not
exceed 40% of the total gross income, in computing taxable income for the taxable quarter/year.
However, once an election is made to use the OSD, it is irrevocable for the taxable year for which the
return is made.

Acme Mexico City Employee Essay
Acme Mexico City Employee Assignme
Executive Summary
In effort to increase profits, Acme Home Improvement expanded operations into the international
market. Acme Mexico City (AMC) opened a new store in Mexico City, Mexico and will be providing
customers with all their home improvement needs. Acme Home Improvements operations analysts
working with the AMC advance planners have proposed a standard day assignment schedule. The
proposed schedule is complaint with Mexican law and corporate policy in scheduling part time
employees 50% of a day s total scheduled hours.
The proposal is also complaint with the advance planner s imposition not to schedule 30 employees on
the floor at any time in order to control costs and does not schedule ... Show more content on

These different shifts depict the number of customer service employees and the time frames they are
scheduled. The home improvement retail industry has two types of customers; the
professional/contractor and the do it yourself individual. These customers differentiating shopping
trends and support needs are taken into consideration when scheduling employees for the floor. In
evaluating the proposed schedule, business trend, customer demographic and operating shifts were
taken into consideration when allocating customer service employees during operating hours.
Schedule Shifts
The majority of professional/contractor customers shop during early hours of the morning which is
known as the opening shift (7am 10am). Professional/contract customers are experienced and have
knowledge of the merchandise that they need and where it s located in the store given their visit
frequency. Given these facets, the number of customer service employees on the floor is much higher
than is needed. The proposed employee numbers are higher than needed and I recommend the AMC
advance planners schedule estimates for the times between 7am and 11am be used. Using AMC
advance planners estimated schedule provides lower staffing costs and gives you the ability to utilize
the employees at a different time during store

  • 4. Jim Crow Laws And Anti-Miscegenation Laws Enacted by lawmakers bitter about the loss against the North, Jim Crow Laws blatantly favored whites and repressed those of color as many refused to welcome blacks into civic life, still believing them to be inferior. These laws were essentially a legalized legislative barrier to the freedom promised by our constitution, and the newly won war against the southern states to end slavery. This institutionalized form of inequality spread like a wildfire in the subsequent decades, separating the races in every way imaginable; in all walks of life. Although these laws varied from state to state, we see a common trend of laws keeping blacks and whites separated, particularly in social settings and social institutions. Some of these laws include but are not limited to marriage, hospitalization, restrooms, public transportation, and prisons; all of which isolating blacks from whites. We even find laws regarding liquor licensing such as a law in Georgia which required all persons licensed to sell alcohol, to serve exclusively whites or exclusively colored people; prohibiting sales to the two races simultaneously (NPS, 2015). Laws such as this were not few and far between. Segregation of blacks became a defining custom in nearly every aspect of life in the mid nineteenth century well into the mid twentieth century. Damage to the PFC may disrupt normal behaviour functioning and cause some individuals to engage in negative, antisocial behaviours, or even have an extremely negative personality change. However, arguments suggest the behaviour may be a result of poor childhood upbringing with negative social surroundings. Individuals who are antisocial tend to be very impulsive, inconsiderate of others, lack motivation in personal progression and disregard social norms. It is argued that the trait is caused by social influences, such as strict disciplinary enforcements by parents, bullying behaviours within families and ignorance of prosocial acts, causing an operant conditioning of negative and abusive behaviour to be forced upon the child (Patterson Debaryshe, Ramsey, 1990). • 22. Rhetorical Analysis Thoreau Questions on Rhetoric and Style: 1. Describe the tone Thoreau establishes in paragraph 2. How does it contribute to the rhetorical effect of the paragraph? In paragraph two, Thoreau uses a depressing, problematic and facetious tone to get his message across. Thoreau explains how he is strongly against the United States government, and also points out problems of the government. Thoreau uses depressing diction when describing the problems of the government in order to make people feel hatred toward the government and realize how problematic it actually is. Thoreau uses Power of Three to exemplify the problems of the government, and further connects with the audience on an emotional level by pointing out how the citizens help lead to the countries problematic state. Thoreau s use of inappropriate humor when he explains trade makes the United States government seem trivial and almost as a lost cause due to the problems caused by the leaders. His relation of such a serious topic to a comical reference makes it an easier to understand situation. The use of this specific tone creates a more impactful rhetorical effect that is relayed in the paragraph. 3. Thoreau develops many analogies to support his arguments (e.g., in paras. 8 and 9). Select three, and explain whether you find them convincing. How effectively does each one support the claim Thoreau is using it to support? Thoreau s use of analogies to support his arguments are very beneficial in getting his point ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Low And Decreasing Self Esteem During Adolescence Low and Decreasing Self Esteem During Adolescence Critique Steiger, Allemand, Robins, and Fend (2014) hypothesized that not only the level but also the change in self esteem affect depression. Using data from over a 23 year span, they investigated adolescent level and change in self esteem and examined their predictive effects on adult depressive symptoms two decades later. Self esteem was assessed annually from age 12 to 16, and depression was assessed at age 16 and 35. • 25. Thesis On 12 Angry Men Twelve Angry Men In the 1957 MGM film, Twelve Angry Men, a young boy from the slum is on trial for allegedly stabbing his father to death. The jury from New York City is forced to have 12 men agree as to whether the boy is guilty or not guilty. If they decide not guilty, the boy is set free; if he is found guilty, the boy will receive the death sentence. In the beginning all but one agreed the boy was guilty; Juror 8, Mr. Davis, argues that the boy deserves some deliberation. Mr. Davis changed the other eleven jurors minds by using his core values such as keeping an open mind, staying humble, and believing every life is valuable. By keeping an open mind, Mr. Davis was able to look into the details of the facts presented and create an argument as to why the boy could perpetually be not guilty. Henri Bergson, a French philosopher, said The eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend. Everyone but Mr. Davis came into the room closed minded and was unable to see a different perspective. They were unable to understand, sympathize and make sense of the argument Mr. Davis was making. Mr. Davis was able to persuade one man to have an open mind; juror number five. The two men then began to look further into the details of the evidence. Answering these basic questions may summarize much of the information regarding Quasar. What is the definition of a quasar? When radio telescopes were first turned on the heavens, point sources of radio waves were discovered (along with spread out regions of emission along our Milky Way). Astronomers using ordinary visible light telescopes turned toward these radio points and looked to see what was there. In some cases a supernova remnant was found, in others, a large star birth region, in others a distant galaxy. But in some places where point sources of radio waves were found, no visible source other than a stellar looking object was found (it looked like a point of a star). These objects were called the quasi stellar radio sources or quasars for short. Later, it was found these sources could not be stars in our galaxy, but must be very far away as far as any of the distant galaxies seen. We now think these objects are the very bright centers of some distant galaxies, where some sort of energetic action is occurring, most probably due to the presence of a supermassive black hole at the center of that galaxy. After picking for a couple of hours, I wash, sort and package blueberries to sell at the farmer s market in town. After selling all day, I might work a few hours at my off farm job since I am there. • 43. Transnational Corporation (TNC) Networks The term of Transnational Corporation (TNC), as its name suggests, is a reference to a firm whose influence is not limited to a single nation. A transnational corporation is a firm that has the power to coordinate and control operations in more than one country (Dicken, 2011, p. 110). This influence can take many forms such as subsidiaries or production facilities in other countries, but ownership is not mandatory for a corporation to have sway in another country. A TNC could gain power in a country other than its home through connections to suppliers or through the act of outsourcing (Stevis, Transnational Corporations, 2013). These connections also hint at an idea, suggested by Dicken, that in many ways TNCs are Networks within ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... There are multitudes of roles that states can fill; which they are called upon to undertake can depend on the type of capitalism and the wishes of the administration currently in power. One of the most common roles of a state is to function as a regulator over the economy. Under this role, states can provide structure to help support stable and functioning markets, such as providing the means to protect property rights; regulations can also be used to restrict certain forms of trade, or to see that a certain issue that is important to the population of the country is addressed (Stevis, Roles of Sates, 2013). Beyond this basic role, states can also act as both Collaborators and Competitors towards private firms. States can collaborate to help bring a certain firm to the country, or to help others compete in a certain market in the world political economy through subsidies and other benefits (Stevis, Roles of Sates, 2013). States, however, can play the reverse role by competing against a firm or market. This can take the form of both direct competition, such as through state owned enterprises, or more indirect methods, subsidizing an opposing industry (Stevis, State Capitalism, 2013). Relationship of States and TNCs Like the variance in the roles many states take on, the interactions of states and TNCs can differ greatly. While it depends significantly on the form of capitalism the state adheres to, the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 45. Simul8 Report MATH2013 Simulation Assignment 1.0 Introduction The aim of the assignment was to find a staffing solution for a call centre with two types of calls (1, 2) and three types of agents, two of which specialists (agent 1 and agent 2) and a generalist (agent 3) who handles both types of calls on two types of days Heavy 1, with more type 1 calls and Heavy 2, with more type 2 calls. The staffing solution should meet two performance constraints: The Quality of Service, QoS, should be at least 70%. The fraction of abandoned calls should not exceed 5%. The simulation software, Simul8 was used to set up such a staffing. 2.0 Description of Solution Method Figure 1: General Layout of simulation ... Using staffing option (c) and a uniform arrival rate of 1.8 calls per minute, the fraction of abandoned calls decreased to 3.92%, and QoS increased to 87.5% compared to the intra day variability rates. Using option (b), consisting of 6 specialists for each type and 8 generalists, 5.48% of the calls were abandoned and the QoS decreased to 83% as opposed to 87.5% when using option (c). 2. Considering options (d) and (e), where (d) has fewer generalists, with an arrival rate of 1.8 calls per minute. Option (d) yielded a fraction 3.55% abandoned calls whereas for option (e), only 3.32% of the calls were abandoned. Similarly, The QoS for option (d) was 89.5%, compared to 91.5% for option (e). 3. Considering options (f) and (j), with an inter arrival rate of 1.8 calls per minute. It was observed that 5.25% of the calls were abandoned when option (f) was used, and the QoS was 83.5%. On the other hand, option (j) yielded 3.96% abandoned calls and a QoS of 87.5%. According to the above results, the managers belief that the need for generalists would decrease (while keeping the number of specialists the same) is not true since the decrease in generalists yield results that do not satisfy the constraints. However, the staffing performance would be remarkably better, as it has been observed when using staffing ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These different shifts depict the number of customer service employees and the time frames they are scheduled. The home improvement retail industry has two types of customers; the professional/contractor and the do it yourself individual. These customers differentiating shopping trends and support needs are taken into consideration when scheduling employees for the floor. In evaluating the proposed schedule, business trend, customer demographic and operating shifts were taken into consideration when allocating customer service employees during operating hours. Schedule Shifts The majority of professional/contractor customers shop during early hours of the morning which is known as the opening shift (7am 10am). Professional/contract customers are experienced and have knowledge of the merchandise that they need and where it s located in the store given their visit frequency. Given these facets, the number of customer service employees on the floor is much higher than is needed. The proposed employee numbers are higher than needed and I recommend the AMC advance planners schedule estimates for the times between 7am and 11am be used. Using AMC advance planners estimated schedule provides lower staffing costs and gives you the ability to utilize the employees at a different time during store ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
