Data-based PID control of flexible joint robot using adaptive safe experiment...journalBEEI
This paper proposes the data-based PID controller of flexible joint robot based on adaptive safe experimentation dynamics (ASED) algorithm. The ASED algorithm is an enhanced version of SED algorithm where the updated tuning variable is modified to adapt to the change of the objective function. By adopting the adaptive term to the updated equation of SED, it is expected that the convergence accuracy can be further improved. The effectiveness of the ASED algorithm is verified to tune the PID controller of flexible joint robot. In this flexible joint control problem, two PID controllers are utilized to control both rotary angle tracking and vibration of flexible joint robot. The performance of the proposed data-based PID controller is assessed in terms of trajectory tracking of angular motion, vibration reduction and statistical analysis of the pre-defined control objective function. The simulation results showed that the data-based PID controller based on ASED is able to produce better control accuracy than the conventional SED based method.

Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) is one of the most challenging tasks in surgical procedures due to the lack of visibility of the surgical area, instrument orientation, and depth perception. A tele-operated robot assisted minimally invasive surgery is developed to enhance a surgeon's hand dexterity and accuracy. To perform MIS, the surgeon controls a slave manipulator via a master manipulator, so the force feedback and motion feedback are required to imitate an amount of action and reaction force between master and slave manipulator. The complicated MIS requires more complex surgical manipulator with multi DOFs and multiple force feedback. The limitation of multiple DOFs force feedback is a bandwidth of torque sensors. Therefore, this study proposes a sensorless based 5-DOF Bilaterally controlled surgical manipulation. In this research disturbance observer (DOB) is used to identify the internal disturbance of the system, which is used to estimate the reaction torque. This research mainly focuses on a 5-DOF bilaterally controlled surgical manipulator to maintain a position and additional force. The result of torque error in contact motion is less than 2%, the non-contact motion error is not over 5%, and it is evident that the error is always less than 0.3% for the position response.
This document presents an expert system based on fuzzy logic for fault detection and diagnosis of Doubly Fed Induction Generators (DFIGs). The system uses fuzzy inference rules based on root mean square values of stator currents to determine the operating state of the DFIG. Simulations in Matlab/Simulink demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy in accurately detecting and diagnosing faults like short circuits and open circuits. The results show the fuzzy logic approach can distinguish between fault severities like dangerous versus normal short circuits.

Fault model analysis by parasitic extraction method for embedded srameSAT Publishing House
This document summarizes a research paper that analyzes faults in embedded static random access memory (SRAM) using a parasitic extraction method. It begins by introducing the motivation for detailed fault modeling in SRAM due to technology scaling issues. It then discusses how existing fault models fail to account for constraints like dynamic power analysis, propagation delay analysis, and bit line capacitance effects. The document proposes analyzing SRAM faults using layout-based simulations that consider these constraints. Key sections analyze the impact of bit line capacitance on read/write operations and compare propagation delay, power dissipation, and node values between faulty and fault-free SRAM cells. The analysis aims to develop a more comprehensive fault model for SRAM.

A neural network predictive controller is designed to control the motor speed by varying its reference value and regulating the motor speed. Simulation results show the performance of the induction motor drive during step changes in speed and load torque with the neural network predictive controller, with lower current ripple and reduced torque ripple compared to other controllers. The performance of the neural network predictive controller is evaluated using integral absolute error and integral time-weighted absolute error metrics.
Tuning of Proportional Integral Derivative Controller Using Artificial Neural...IRJET Journal
This document discusses tuning a proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller using an artificial neural network (ANN). Specifically:
1. A PID controller is used to control various process variables like pressure, temperature, and speed. The PID controller gains (KP, KI, KD) are tuned by training an ANN to optimize the controller response.
2. An ANN is trained using the Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm to determine the optimal PID gains. The tuned PID controller results in reduced overshoot, peak value, and settling time compared to the untuned controller.
3. Simulation results show that with ANN tuning, overshoot is reduced from 27.1% to 7

Direct torque control using neural network approacheSAT Journals
Abstract Direct Torque Control (DTC) is one of the latest technique to control the speed of motor, in this paper, the control technique of DTC is based on when load changes then inverter switch position are changed and supply to the motor is changed, in this paper Proportional Integral (PI), Neural Network (NN) controller and Adaptive motor model is designed this is the heart of the DTC, as we know that DTC doesn’t require any feedback and sensors to measure. The NN structure is to be implemented by input output (nonlinear) mapping models and is constructed with input, output and hidden layers of sigmoid activation functions. It has been introduced as a possible solution to the real multivariate interpolation problem. To improve the performance of DTC with the modern technique using NN approach is implemented, and performance of DTC with PI controller and NN controller is done, hence, the NN approach shows the better performance than conventional PI controller. Abstract
Present day guided weapon systems, especially tactical class missiles use RF seeker, for target tracking towards terminal engagement. The seeker system including its antenna assembly will be onboard the missile. Due to the missile trajectory corrections, the seeker antenna pointing to the target may get disturbed resulting in track loss. To avoid this track loss, it becomes necessary to stabilize the antenna system in two planes. The fundamental role of stabilization loop in seeker application is to precisely follow the angular rate of the target. In order to achieve this requirement, it is essential to highly isolate the gimbaled antenna from the missile body motion due to the maneuvering of target or low frequency vibration during flight. However, the isolation ratio and stability margin of stabilization loop adopting the gimbaled platform with both low stiffness and heavy inertia are limited by mechanical characteristic such as low resonance frequency and its high magnitude. The selection of proper feedback sensors, modeling of the total system are key features of this project. In the end, the performance and the stability of designed stabilization loop are demonstrated using simulation in both frequency and time domain. The Hardware for the system is under realization by the Industry. The whole scheme is simulated in MATLAB off-line for this project.

Autotuning of pid controller for robot arm and magnet levitation planteSAT Journals
Abstract
One of the most essential work of the control engineer is tuning of controller. Majority of the controller used in industry are of the
PID type. An auto tuning is one of the method of controller tuning in which tuning of the parameters of controller is done
automatically and possibly, without any user interaction expect from initiating the operation. Present study emphasis on the relay
based auto tuning of PID controller. An auto-tuning method is implemented based on a relay experiment to determine the ultimate
gain and the ultimate period, with which the PID parameters are obtained using the Ziegler-Nichols tuning rules. An auto tuning
of robot arm model and magnet levitation model are carried out. Performance of relay based auto tuning on the basis of integral
square error is better than artificial neural network.

IRJET- Error Reduction in Data Prediction using Least Square Regression MethodIRJET Journal
This document proposes a modification to the least squares regression method to reduce errors in data prediction. It divides the original data set into three parts, uses the first part to make predictions with least squares regression and fits those predictions to the second part of the data to minimize errors. It then validates the model on the third part of data and compares errors to the original least squares method. The proposed method shows reduced errors in prediction based on mean absolute error, mean relative error and root mean square error metrics in most test ranges of the validation data.

Optimum capacity allocation of distributed generation units using parallel ps...eSAT Journals
Abstract This paper proposes the application of Parallel Particle Swarm Optimization (PPSO) technique to find the optimal sizing of multiple DG(Distributed Generation) units in the radial distribution network by reduction in real power losses and enhancement in voltage profile. Message passing interface (MPI) is used for the parallelization of PSO. The initial population of PSO algorithm has been divided between the processors at run time. The proposed technique is tested on standard 123-bus test system and the obtained results show that the simulation time is significantly reduced and is concluded that parallelization helps in enhancing the performance of basic PSO. The procedure has been implemented in an environment in which OpenDSS (Open Distribution System Simulator) is driven from MATLAB. An adaptive weight particle swarm optimization algorithm has been developed in MATLAB , parallelization is achieved using MATLABMPI and the unbalanced three-phase distribution load flow (DLF) has been performed using Electric Power Research Institute’s (EPRI) open source tool OpenDSS. Groundwater investigation using geophysical methods a case study of pydibhim...eSAT Publishing House
This document summarizes the results of a geophysical investigation using vertical electrical sounding (VES) methods at 13 locations around an industrial area in India. The VES data was interpreted to generate geo-electric sections and pseudo-sections showing subsurface resistivity variations. Three main layers were typically identified - a high resistivity topsoil, a weathered middle layer, and a basement rock. Pseudo-sections revealed relatively more weathered areas in the northwest and southwest. Resistivity sections helped identify zones of possible high groundwater potential based on low resistivity anomalies sandwiched between more resistive layers. The study concluded the electrical resistivity method was useful for understanding subsurface geology and identifying areas prospective for groundwater exploration.

Abstract
Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) helps to overcome various difficulties in future technology wireless communications. NOMA, when utilized with millimeter wave multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems, channel estimation becomes extremely difficult. For reaping the benefits of the NOMA and mm-Wave combination, effective channel estimation is required. In this paper, we propose an enhanced particle swarm optimization based long short-term memory estimator network (PSOLSTMEstNet), which is a neural network model that can be employed to forecast the bandwidth required in the mm-Wave MIMO network. The prime advantage of the LSTM is that it has the capability of dynamically adapting to the functioning pattern of fluctuating channel state. The LSTM stage with adaptive coding and modulation enhances the BER.PSO algorithm is employed to optimize input weights of LSTM network. The modified algorithm splits the power by channel condition of every single user. Participants will be first sorted into distinct groups depending upon respective channel conditions, using a hybrid beamforming approach. The network characteristics are fine-estimated using PSO-LSTMEstNet after a rough approximation of channels parameters derived from the received data.

A high-Speed Communication System is based on the Design of a Bi-NoC Router, ...DharmaBanothu
The Network on Chip (NoC) has emerged as an effective
solution for intercommunication infrastructure within System on
Chip (SoC) designs, overcoming the limitations of traditional
methods that face significant bottlenecks. However, the complexity
of NoC design presents numerous challenges related to
performance metrics such as scalability, latency, power
consumption, and signal integrity. This project addresses the
issues within the router's memory unit and proposes an enhanced
memory structure. To achieve efficient data transfer, FIFO buffers
are implemented in distributed RAM and virtual channels for
FPGA-based NoC. The project introduces advanced FIFO-based
memory units within the NoC router, assessing their performance
in a Bi-directional NoC (Bi-NoC) configuration. The primary
objective is to reduce the router's workload while enhancing the
FIFO internal structure. To further improve data transfer speed,
a Bi-NoC with a self-configurable intercommunication channel is
suggested. Simulation and synthesis results demonstrate
guaranteed throughput, predictable latency, and equitable
network access, showing significant improvement over previous
designs

Abstract
As per geographical survey of India about 65% of human population is living in rural areas where urban resources like electricity,
employment accessibility, etc are very deprived. The country is still combating with fundamental needs of every individual. The
country with immense population living in villages ought to have research in the areas which focuses and utilizes the available human
power. Some Authors of this paper had already developed a pedal operated human powered flywheel motor (HPFM) as an energy
source for process units. The various process units tried so far are mostly rural based such as brick making machine (both
rectangular and keyed cross sectioned), Low head water lifting, Wood turning, Wood strips cutting, electricity generation etc. This
machine system comprises three sub systems namely (i) HPFM (ii) Torsionally Flexible Clutch (TFC) (iii) A Process Unit. Because of
utilization of human power as a source of energy, the process units have to face energy fluctuation during its supply. To evaporate
this rise and fall effect of the energy, the concept of use of HPFM was introduced. During its operation it had been observed that the
productivity has great affection toward the rider and producing enormous effect on quality and quantity of the product. This document
takes a step ahead towards the development of a controller which will reduce system differences in the productivity. This paper
contributes in development of optimal model through artificial neural network which enables to predict experimental results
accurately for seen and unseen data. The paper evaluates ANN modeling technique on HPFM by alteration of various training
parameters and selection of most excellent value of that parameter. The mathematical model of which then could be utilized in design
of a physical controller.

1.3 Mathematical Model [12]
The experimental Independent variables were reduced by
evaluating dimensionless pi terms by Buckingham pi theorem
and a mathematical equation was generated by traditional
method to predict the experimental findings. The equation is
as shown.
ω T = 1.288 ( I/RT2
)-0.46

2. DETECTION OF DILEMMA AND ELECTED
APPROACH
The plot has been drawn to observe the prediction of
experimental evidences by the traditional empirical model.
The figure 2 evaluates and compares the results. Figure 2
undoubtedly express the inaccuracy in prediction of
experimental evidences by traditional mathematical model.
The existing equation is deficient to predict the desired
experimental findings. Consequently we find the need of
another modelling technique which can predict the evidences
more accurately.
The figure 3 highlights the percentage error in prediction
which is of the order of 20% to 80%. In view of the fact that
independent variables involved are high in numbers, it
becomes a very tedious and inaccurate work to build an
accurate mathematical model. ANN i.e. Artificial Neural
Network has shown its strength in the field of learning and
prediction [6] [7] of the desired results when the input
variables are high in numbers. On the other hand ANN model
can also give more reliable solution with unseen data.

3. DECIDING THE SEQUENCE OF EXECUTION
OF PROPOSED ANN MODELLING PROCEDURE
Modelling a system through ANN simulation [9] involves use
of ANN parameters appropriately. A topology is nothing but
the complete architecture of network formed through the use
of ANN parameters. The ANN parameters should be varied
systematically in an attempt to identify best topology for a
specified problem. The number of layers was restricted to two
as the variables involved were high in number. A table for
evaluation of modelling technique is formed [5] as below. The
shaded column indicates the variation of that particular
parameter and shaded row shows the value of that parameter.

5. DISCUSSION OF RESULTS
5.1 Effect of Variation of Number of Neuron in
Hidden Layer
• Figure 4 to 23 shows that increase of number of
neuron gives better prediction.
• But as the number goes to 700 it takes very large time
to train the network
• Hence Layer size is limited to 500.
5.2 Effect of Variation Training Styles
• Figure 24 to 37 gives the results when training styles
are changed.
• The results are too bad with “trainb” & “trainc”
• As a result it can be concluded that training styles
affect the performance of network to great extent.
• It is been observed that back propagation training
functions are better for fitting function and the
performance seems superior with “trainlm”
5.3 Effect of Variation of Performance Function
• Figure 38 to 43 displays the results with change of
performance function
• The change of performance function has shown little
effect on prediction
• Performance function “mae” has shown better results
for this case.
5.4 Effect of Variation Transfer Function to Hidden
Layer
• Figure 44 to 49 shows the outcome when transfer
functions to hidden layers were changed.
• There are too many transfer functions to use and
network has two hidden layers. Hence various
combinations of these transfer functions were use to
see the effect on performance.
• It is been observed that the outer most layer with
linear transfer function “purelin” gives better results
• The combination of “tansig, purelin” transfer
functions is found best for this case.
5.5 Effect of Variation of Learning Function
• Figure 50 to 55 put view on the results with variation
of learning function.
• It clearly shows the is very mild effect of variation
learning function on performance of network
• Out of those learning functions “learncon” was better
CONCLUSIONS
The optimization methodology adopted is unique and
rigorously derives the most optimum solution for field data
available for Human Powered Flywheel Motor. The effect on
prediction of network is observed very consciously with
variation each ANN parameter.
It could also be concluded from the above results that for a
fitting function type of situation “purelin” is the best transfer
function at the outermost layer of the network. Deciding
numbers of neuron in a layer are also crucial for performance
of the network and this number depends on number of
independent variable counting for the output.
The learning algorithm is also playing a vital role in
performance of the network. Hence precise learning algorithm
should be identified for a particular field problem. If compared
with empirical model prediction ANN is predicting much
better and the error is reduced to 20%.
FUTURE SCOPE
• Prediction of ANN model may be compared with the
available empirical model.
• The best ANN model may be further used to develop
another mathematical model.
• The ANN model could be validated through unseen data.
• This mathematical model then could be utilized to
develop a physical controller.
