of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover

Model Organisation
- 2. Choosing my Models I believe that the choice of models is very important as it needs to represent not only what your magazine stands for but they also have to be relatable or inspirational to my target group. This narrowed it down to me choosing two of my friends who fit in to the age group of my target group and also have two different common body types in the target audience range. My models also have to represent the identity of my target audience meaning they shouldn’t look overly athletic but not unhealthy. I will make my models look appealing by using hair and clothing that matches my target audience and the genre of my magazine. They will have to have a quite natural makeup look and hair must be put back because they are meant to be looking sporty. The clothing will also be athletic sports wear and they will be doing activities such as walking on a beach, yoga and climbing. I decided that my models clothing does not have to match my colour scheme but I have planned one of the models to wear similar colours because I think that it would be nice for the model to stand out in some cases against the colour scheme that I have chose. I will also make sure that I take photos of the model at different points in view as in some cases I may like to shape text around the model and if the model is dead center in a contents page or a double page spread it may be a little inconvenient to change that as my setting is outdoors so the background will not be a block colour.
- 3. Model 1 For my first model I have chosen my friend Katie as she contrasts in body type with my other friend Jane. When doing my magazine research in to health magazines in general I have found that the large majority of magazines have contrasting body types, especially with the rise of plus size models it is not unusual to have a mix of slim and larger models in to a magazine. This suggests that there is a demand for people of different, more achievable body types. Katie is 21 so therefore falls under my target group meaning that it will be easier for the reader to feel a bond between themselves and the model making my magazine feel more personal.
- 4. Model 2 My second model that I chose was Jane. I chose her because her body type is larger and more common than Katie’s. This will make my magazine appeal to a wide range of people as they may see themselves in Jane. Jane is 20 so fits in to my target group just like Katie. This will make it easier for people to create a bond to the magazine.
- 5. Model consent Before I became 100% sure on the models that I had to choose, I wanted to make sure that they were both willing to take part so I messaged them with a brief summary of my aims for the shoot to make sure that they would be okay to be photographed and luckily they both were so I am now able to move on with the rest of my planning for my shoot.
- 6. Confirmation When Jane and Katie let me know that they would like to be in the shoot, I let them know that I would email the the details of the shoot before the day so that when it is the day of the shoot, both me and my models will be prepared.
