MY OCCUPATIONAL
IDENTITY
Kloe Aitken
FAMILY MEMBER
 In this photo I identity myself as a
family member, a sister to my brother. He
is my only other sibling, so we share a
great bond.
PET OWNER
 In this photo, I identify myself as a
pet owner or most importantly a dog
lover. You form special connections to
your pets especially when you treat them
just like a family member excluding the
fights. You care for your pets on a daily
basis unconditionally.
FRIEND
 In this photo I identify myself as a
friend, being a friend requires to be there
for each other in good times and bad.
Being a friend is important to me as
friends are an essential way of daily life,
whether it be missing your high school
friends or making new friends, your
always a friend to someone.
SOCIALISING
 In this photo I identify myself as being
sociable. Socialising is an occupation that
is important to me, as spending time with
friends brings out the best in me not the
stress in me. Depending on the individuals
you surround yourself with socialsing can
be seen in a positive or negative way.
STUDENT
 In this photo I identify myself as a
student. Being a student requires
determination and focus. However I'm
not just any old student I’m a
occupational therapy student. Each
student has a different area in which
they study, as everyone is different and
interested in other areas that are offered
at educational institutions.
FLAT-MATE
 In this photo I identify myself as a flat-
mate. As a flat-mate you share the
environment in which you live in, roles or
duties required within the flat such as
financial issues in which everyone
contributes. Supporting flat-mates is
essential to collaborating with one another.
SURF LIFE SAVING
 In this photo I identify myself as a surf
life saving athlete. Many sports not just surf
life saving have allowed me to grow as an
individual. Whether it be an individualized
or team sport, there are influences to
participate in that surround the community
of the particular sport. This encourages all
individuals to be active and try out for a
sport they feel they may be interested in.
CLEANING
 In this photo I'm participating in
cleaning. I identify myself as a cleaner,
because I clean a lot of the time, as I do not
like to live in a mess. Cleaning is an
occupation in which majority of individuals
would take part in.
PAINTING
 I identify myself as a painter and in
this photo is a series of paintings I have
done. Painting is an occupation that has
no boundary's it allows the individual to
explore and express themselves. I ‘do’
painting because I like to express myself
in a non-commutative way, which I feel I
‘become’ connected with the painting
itself and therefore ‘belong’ to the
painting and its meaning.
CYCLING
 In this photo I identify myself as a
cyclist. Cycling is a calming activity I
participate in regularly. Cycling is for all
ages and can be a fun family activity to take
part in. I ‘do’ cycling because its therapeutic
for myself as an individual.
