Draw flight plans or schedules, after thorough analysis of the weather condition
Check the amount of fuel to be loaded in the aircraft
Check for the mechanics and maintenance of the aircraft before announcing a dispatch
Determine the routes for the flight along with the altitude at which the aircraft would fly
Give instructions to the crew and pilot when it is airborne
Help in emergency landing by selecting alternate landing sites
The flight dispatcher and pilot can cancel a flight with valid reasons for the same
Notify the crew and passengers about the alternate flight arrangement
Keep a check of the equipment used in the aircraft for availability of the same
Keep a check and record of the cargo weight, time of flying by each pilot, time spent by
each crewmember on the aircraft, etc.

Arrange General declaration, crew manifest andflight permission to make endorsement by
concerned authorities such as Apron manager office (AMO), Immigration, customs,
narcotics, Federal investigationagencies etc.
Arrange Arrival and departure crew lay over before the time of aircraft arrives.
Arrange hotel accommodations, catering, and fuelingas well as suitable parking area for
non-schedule flights.
Intimate operator or pilot regarding NOTAMS or any significant changes occur which may
hazardous to maintain expedite flow of operations.
Prepares monthly activity for Non-schedule flights report along with their charges taken
from operator.
