This document outlines steps to run Mininet with multiple OpenDaylight controllers on different VMs:
1) Configure the ODL and Mininet VMs with IP addresses and run ODL with clustering enabled on each controller VM.
2) Configure Mininet to connect to the controller cluster and verify connection.
3) Check sharding data on each controller to verify cluster setup.

CERN is the home of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), a 27km circular proton accelerator generating tens of petabytes of new data every year. Data is stored and processed using a large amount of resources totaling over 250.000 cores and 1000s of storage servers, managed by OpenStack.
Networking is a critical part of our infrastructure and arguably the hardest to evolve. Given the size of CERN’s infrastructure, its flat network is partitioned in segments each representing a separate broadcast domain and potentially offering different levels of service. This fragmentation improves scalability and reduces the impact of misbehaving systems in the datacentre to individual segments. On the other hand, having multiple broadcast domains means features like floating and virtual IPs are much harder to offer.
We will tell the story of OpenStack Networking at CERN. First integration with Nova Network, the migration to Neutron and how we're adding SDN in our infrastructure.

Real-Time KVM is the extension of KVM(Linux Kernel-based Virtual Machine) to allow the virtual machines(VM) to be a truly Real-Time operating system.Users sometimes need to run low-latency applications(such as audio/video streaming, highly interactive systems, etc) to meet their requirements in clouds. NFV is a new network concept which uses virtualization and software instead of dedicated network appliances. For some use cases of telecommunications, network latency must be within a certain range of values. Real-Time KVM can help NFV meet this requirements.

An Ensemble Core with Docker - Solving a Real Pain in the PaaS Erik Osterman
Docker by itself is only an engine powering containers. You need a containership to run it in production. CoreOS is a purpose-built containership that powers Docker conatiners, however, without higher-level orchestration managing hundreds or thousands of containers is not manageable. Ensemble is the answer for running containers at scale on top of CoreOS.
Containers are everywhere these days. Many of us are containerizing our applications to take advantage of the ease of a single artifact, but what can we do to make deploying these containers to a fleet of servers easier? Kubernetes is arguably the most popular container orchestration system to date. Kubernetes was born out of a decade of research at Google and has seen success; by itself as a fantastic way to orchestrate containers across multiple machines and as a component in other platforms.
This talk will begin with the anatomy and setup of a Kubernetes cluster. We'll demonstrate (live) taking a container containing a simple web service and launch our application into a small Kubernetes cluster. Next we'll perform a rolling update to deploy a new container version with zero downtime. Also, we'll check out some cool debugging features Kubernetes provides over the course of our demo.

Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.

This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
