This document describes the simulation and fabrication of miniaturized half wavelength resonators using Moore fractal iteration techniques. The Moore fractal approach is able to reduce the size of a conventional half wavelength resonator by 46% after the first iteration and 30% after the second iteration, while maintaining resonance performance. Simulation results show that while the Moore fractal resonators are significantly smaller, their unloaded quality factors are lower than the conventional open line resonator due to increased metallic losses from the tighter fractal structures. Fabricated prototypes demonstrate resonance frequencies close to the simulated values, validating the miniaturization approach.
