Last month we discussed Azure Defender for App service,
This month we Azure Defender for Storage, which alerts
customers upon unusual and potentially harmful attempts
to access or exploit their storage accounts.
Azure Defender for Storage now alerts customers also upon
the detection of malicious activities such as:
Upload of potential malware (using hash reputation analysis).
Phishing campaigns hosted on a storage account.
Access from suspicious IP addresses, such as TOR exit nodes.

9. Oracle WebLogic Server (WLS) on Azure VMs

The partnership between Oracle and Microsoft was announced in June of 2019. The solutions simplify setting
up WLS, and configuring integration with key Azure services. This latest release allows you choose from a
variety of base images including WebLogic 12.2.1.3.0 with JDK8u131/251 and Oracle Linux 7.4/7.6, or
WebLogic 14.1.1 with JDK11u01 on Oracle Linux 7.6.

Together with Thales Alenia Space, we are bringing near real-time geospatial data processing
capabilities to our customers.
We can see that volumes of earth have been
removed from the desert, and a neighbourhood
has been built. The image on the far right
highlights the change detected.

12. Cloud Services (extended support) is GA
Migration Tool is (preview)

The general availability of Cloud Services (extended support), which is a new Azure Resource
Manager (ARM)-based deployment model for Azure Cloud Services. The platform-supported tool
for migrating existing cloud services to Cloud Services (extended support) also goes into preview
today.
Cloud Services (extended support) provides two paths for customers to migrate from ASM to
ARM:
Re-deploy: Customers can deploy a new cloud service directly in ARM and then delete the old
cloud service in ASM after thorough validation. The general availability of Cloud Services
(extended support) comes with a service-level agreement (SLA) of 99.95 percent.
In-place migration: Migration tool that enables a seamless, platform orchestrated migration of
existing Cloud Services (classic) deployments to Cloud Services (extended support).
