Cloud is for all.
There's so much passion and convictions among people involved in Cloud Computing that we might forget how inclusive is the Cloud and Microsoft Azure in particular. We all have heard about the DevOps story, where developers and IT operators are working hand and hand to create more value for the customer, but it's much more than this.

Microsoft PPM helps you deliver on business strategies through high-impact outcomes. You can think of the PPM as a lifecycle which comprises of three phases: Ideate, Plan, and Execute.
Ideate: Is the initiation phase in which ideas are collected and projects are proposed. The organization’s business drivers capture the company’s strategy and guide ideation.
Plan: This phase includes preliminary planning of the projects at a high level. Microsoft PPM helps prioritize the projects subject to budget and resourcing constraints. Once projects are approved the solution supports detailed and realistic planning.
Execute: The goal of this phase is to deliver the projects through collaboration of the involved stakeholders.
Built on Microsoft’s cloud Microsoft PPM weaves in cloud services that power the PPM solution with collaboration capabilities, advanced analytics that drive insights and the ability to customize and extend the solution to meet unique needs of your organization.
Microsoft PPM is built on Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure. This means you get enterprise-grade security and compliance, highly secure and geographically diverse data centers, and a 99.9% uptime guarantee.
What is Microsoft Azure?
What is Azure used for?
Why do businesses want to use someone else's hardware?
What are the advantages of virtualization?
Is Azure secure?
How does Azure stack up against the competition?
To help you make an informed decision about whether Azure is right for your business.
There are options beyond a straight forward lift and shift into Infrastructure as a Service. This session is about learning about how Azure helps modernize applications faster utilising modern technologies like PaaS, containers and serverless

AI for an intelligent cloud and intelligent edge: Discover, deploy, and manag...James Serra
Discover, manage, deploy, monitor – rinse and repeat. In this session we show how Azure Machine Learning can be used to create the right AI model for your challenge and then easily customize it using your development tools while relying on Azure ML to optimize them to run in hardware accelerated environments for the cloud and the edge using FPGAs and Neural Network accelerators. We then show you how to deploy the model to highly scalable web services and nimble edge applications that Azure can manage and monitor for you. Finally, we illustrate how you can leverage the model telemetry to retrain and improve your content.

Augmented Reality is a thing, Mixed Reality is another world. Add some Artificial Intelligence inside, you'll get a futuristic solution right now. Just like what Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale described in Back to the future. We'll build an app for Hololens that leverage AI from the cloud to help the user to identify what's around him. You'll see what Hololens and AR can do, how to create a Mixed Reality app and how an app can quickly get some killer features using Azure Cognitive Services.

Using a real use case of the connected cow, we'll learn how the Internet of Things, including a Cloud and mobile solution and using Artificial Intelligence, can significantly increase productivity and quality of a farm and finally, in any company.
Microsoft is working hard to make Artificial Intelligence available to everyone. We not only infuse AI in our products but also give you the platform to build your very own solution, that you are a developer, a citizen data scientist or a hard core data scientist.
Best pratices reliability & scalability on AzureAlex Danvy
Software will have bugs, hardware will fail and humans will make mistakes but your application might have to run 24/7 and scale as needed. Let's dive into how Microsoft Azure can help you to build such app using a powerful modern cloud capabilities.

Here is something new! In our next Connector Corner webinar, we will demonstrate how you can use a single workflow to:
Create a campaign using Mailchimp with merge tags/fields
Send an interactive Slack channel message (using buttons)
Have the message received by managers and peers along with a test email for review
But there’s more:
In a second workflow supporting the same use case, you’ll see:
Your campaign sent to target colleagues for approval
If the “Approve” button is clicked, a Jira/Zendesk ticket is created for the marketing design team
But—if the “Reject” button is pushed, colleagues will be alerted via Slack message

Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.
