E/MC technology = The Electrical Engineering and Measurement, Control and Regulation Technology
E/MC is subdivided into three fields:
electrical engineering
measurement engineering
control engineering
Electrical engineering comprises energy supply, control cabinets and the cabling of the electrical consumers.
Measurement engineering comprises measuring instruments release their signals to the host computer, host computer convert it into the relevant control signals, control signals run to the control cabinets via remote bus system and trigger off the activities of the motors.
In control engineering, the control computers are connected to the process control station in the control room via a redundant communication bus system.

The project has as main objective identification of potential risks of accidents along 8km in PO332 road for pedestrians, vehicles, trucks, cyclist and motorcycles. Based on this analysis, several low-cost improvements were suggested to increase road-safety factor and reduce risk of accidents.
The actuation plan to achieve this objective was created according information described below:
- Basic Information related with volumes and type of traffic, accident rate, operational conditions of the infrastructure, critical stretches and road users.
- Secondary Information collected through physical inspection of the infrastructure (by foot and car, both day and night) taking pics or recording videos to identify critical points on the road
- Processing of basic and secondary information
- Characterization and analysis of infrastructure: drainage, landscaping, access, restraint systems, visibility, layout, markings, junctions, traffic signals, lighting.
- Choice of solution based on characterization and previous analysis of potential risks of accidents
- Final Report including diagnosis and analysis of several low cost solutions
In current case after apply low cost solutions, road-safety factor increased among 10% and 15%.
