Our group created a music video for a pop rock song along with a digipack and poster to advertise the album. We researched other pop rock music videos to incorporate successful elements and appeal to a wide audience. For one ancillary task, I designed a magazine advertisement for the band's new poster. The poster features only the band name and tour dates, album title, and record label, but not the band's image or website to stand out from normal posters.

1. 2. How effective is the media product use, develop combination
of your main or challenge forms and product and ancillary
texts?
My A2 media studies courseworkrequired me and my group to make a music video with
our ancillary talk of making a digipack forthe band, along with a poster advertising the
album. As a group we decided that the genre forour song is pop rock,through our genre
decision we looked at other videos within this genre and took ideas fromthem and
implemented them into our music video. I did this, so that our video can branch out to a
wider audience, as well as keeping the focus audience interested in the song and video.
For one of the Ancillary tasks, I need to create a magazine advertisement forthe Band's
