2. • These are the images I took for my magazine. I
took various images of my classmates to dress
and pose that would suit the style of an Indie
Rock genre magazine.

4. Front Cover
• For my front cover, I took different images of Han-sun in different poses with the guitar in an
outside setting. I chose this setting mostly because from looking back to my magazine
research, I saw that a lot of indie rock/pop’s magazine images were taken outside. However,
some were edited with the background taken out – I took consideration of this, and edited a
version of the front cover with the background taken out with the Quick Selection Tool.

5. Choosing the main image
My front cover was inspired by The Fly’s front cover, seeing that
from the audience research, the majority of people from the
questionnaire preferred that cover.
I chose this image of Han-sun, as
the pose is not expressive like in
rock magazines, but subtle as she is
looking at her guitar, which is how
indie rock/pop is presented.

6. Contents’ Pictures
• In my contents page, I had four images that are part of
featured articles and interviews of the magazine. I took
photos around school, such as different musical instruments
such as the guitar and drums.
I also took pictures of a featured
band, and used different lighting and
different compositions. I wanted to
show the same subtle approach of an
indie rock/pop magazine, so like the
front cover, their expressions are
subtle.
