This document discusses traditional approaches to strategic change interventions and their limitations. It introduces an alternative interactive-relational model that better represents how work groups actually interact. Social identity theory is discussed as how a person's social identity and group memberships can influence their behavior more than individual identity. Followership behaviors and ideal group behavior from a risk management perspective are also covered. The remainder of the document outlines a social identity program for leadership and team development using identity mapping and values mapping activities.
