Human Resources Associate Responsibilities:
• Maintain a comprehensive and competitive compensation and benefits program to support the
ability to attract and retain high quality and well qualified employees
• Manage employee immigration processes to include tracking of visas, coordinating filings,
employee communications, and coordinating with legal counsel.
• Prepare job descriptions and manage updates for employee handbook
• Manage and coordinate departmental activities as it pertains to EEO, USAID rules and
regulations, policies and practices and advises relevant staff on implementation
• Serve as subject matter expert on compliance and adherence to HR standard operating
procedures
• Partner with heads of departments to develop HR programs that support project goals
• Effectively communicate HR policies, procedures, programs and laws within the East Coast
• Implement, review and continuously improve HR services and processes; make
recommendations and assist field offices in implementation
• Work with managers to identify performance goals and objectives, standards of measurement
and accountability
• Develop and manage performance evaluation program and ensure staff progression and
development
• Implement human resources programs by providing human resources services, including but not
limited to talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare
benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession
planning, employee relations and retention, AA/EEO compliance, and labor relations; completing
personnel transactions
• Develop human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information; recommending
courses of action
• Improve manager and employee performance by identifying and clarifying problems; evaluating
potential solutions; implementing selected solution; coaching and counseling managers and
employees
• Provide information by answering communications; referring special communications to
appropriate person
• Maintain human resources records by maintaining applications, résumés, and applicant logs
• Provide information by answering communications; referring special communications to

• Obtain and orient temporary help by forwarding requirements and criteria to temporary services;
providing information and directions
