A B S T R A C T
A lot of cities nowadays are changing a lot due to the influence of globalisation. The most significant impact of globalization is in cities, because of the cities are becoming the rulers of the countries. Urban developments pending in this process are with different dimensions. However, here is the globalization process and to the understanding of the continuing city administration, to the effects of urban space and urban life. In sum, the effects of globalization on cities and the concept of world city are forming. In the context of the problem of globalization, the globalization of economic, cultural, social, spatial and environmental values and effects on management understanding. İt was established that globalisation also includes the increased movement of people, products, ideas, images, lifestyles, policies and capital and that it affects cities through local and global dynamics which in turn causes macro-urban and micro-urban changes. Conclusions were made that globalisation tends to effects a lot of spatial, economic and social patterns which in turn affect cities but does not result in the same spatial patterns.

Introduction
Globalisation is one of the most dominating topics around the world and covers a lot of aspects which range from economics, politics, religion to social elements. The extent to which globalisation has been influencing economic and social elements has been so significant that researchers like (Brenner, 1999; Healey, 1997), now consider it a global phenomenon just like its name implies.
Globalisation, on the other hand, consists of a lot of aspects and elements and some of them tend to interfere and contrast with each other and hence its meaning is always subject to a lot of different definitions. Globalisation will be defined as the continued increase in the movement of commodities, capital, images, identities and people through a global space (Jessop, 1998). A study by Amin and Thrift (1994), consider that globalisation is not limited to the movement of physical things such as products and people but can also extend to include intangible things such as ideas. Hence, we can redefine globalisation as the increased movement of lifestyles, policies, principles, ideologies, commodities and people through a global space. From this definition, we can thus note that globalisation has to a greater extent being influencing a lot of aspects and most of them being social aspects such as lifestyles, culture, and images.

Biotech in Bangalore - reflections on a decade of debate

The Social Scientific Perspective
GREAT SOCIOCULTURAL revolution is now sweeping our world. Centered in North
America, Japan, and the urban, industrialized countries of Western Europe, it extends to
the still largely rural, third World nations of Asia, Africa, and Latin America and to the
formerly communist-dominated (“second World”) regions of Central and Eastern Europe.
Rapid change, both peaceful and violent, is a fact of life that virtually everyone on Earth today
has come to expect, if not unconditionally accept.
The Shape of Things to Come
This revolution is now boiling at or near the surface of contemporary social relations
everywhere. With increasing regularity, it erupts into our daily affairs, taking on many different
guises. In the United States, this revolution is evident in the conflict between the defenders and
attackers of government regulation, in the debates about immigration—legal and illegal—about
the country’s participation in the United Nations, in the challenges to welfare programs for the
poor, and in the post–September 11 concern about “homeland security.” Here, and in other
countries throughout the world, it has manifested itself in pro- and antiglobalization protests
and movements for civil rights on behalf of formerly excluded ethnic minority groups, gays and
lesbians, persons with disabilities, children, and senior citizens. It is also evident in our
changing attitudes and behavior in the realm of gender. The realities that our parents and
grandparents took for granted are now in such doubt that today we are even asking ourselves
what it means to be a man or a woman.
Common to all of these debates, conflicts, challenges, and movements is the explicit
recognition that something is wrong with society as we have known it. Those involved,
regardless of their specific views on the various issues, acknowledge that serious
shortcomings and unwanted costs are now associated with the manner in which people have
become accustomed to treating one another.
A historical juncture has been reached at which the old ways of managing human affairs,
from the interpersonal to the international levels, are becoming less and less effective. Yet,
despite the numerous possible options with which we have experimented or merely dreamed,
no clear alternatives have emerged to guide us into a highly uncertain future. Just as modernity
displaced feudalism as the dominant cultural form in Europe some 250 years ago, something is

The most important element from my project is civil rights since it is ongoing issue that affects everyone. Civil rights need to be monitored for women, people of color and other minorities that are subject to discrimination. For instance, women are still being paid less than men. African Americans are being racially profiled by the police and others. Civil rights are being violated for those of the Muslim faith and Christians are being chastised and discriminated against because of their religious beliefs. Civil rights violations are driving several issues that weaken previously earned freedoms. As the old saying says: “Freedoms are not free”. There is a price to pay for everything. Injustice is the basis of unrest and a society that is in turmoil (Axford, & Huggins (eds.),2011). The civil right protests of the 1960s made everyone aware that African Americans were not being fairly along with discriminatory practices towards other races. Countries that continue to have serious civil rights violations are slowing positive change and growth possibilities in their country both in tourism, commerce and in other areas.
Civil rights globally relate to human rights violations. Injustices are a worldwide problem and is my number one pick of importance because of the long-range consequences that are involved. The issue of civil rights was addressed by the United Nations in 1945 after atrocities were so prevalent during World War II against Jews and other ethnicities (Reilly, 2012, p. 207). Millions of Jews were killed while many did nothing and this is why human rights and civil rights violations should be monitored and a top priority in all countries. Turning a blind eye to abuses is a dangerous thing.
Slavery, severe mistreatment and putting people in camps were all violations of peoples civil rights. Even the US put its Japanese citizens in camps during the Second World War. This was a violation of human and civil rights. This was a dark piece of our history. I chose civil rights as the most important since this has continued to be a problem on varying levels. For instance, civil rights violations are often two steps forwards and one step back.

Last weeks final project allowed me to narrow down one of the most important elements of the 20th century. After reading my classmates assignments and comparing the differences, I concluded that Global economy was the most important element. The period in which political and economic transformation happened was post-communism. New governments wanted to produce a system in which the price.
Modernization
Modernization theory views development as a progressive movement towards more modern societies characterized by industrialization, urbanization, and other social and economic changes associated with developed nations. It assumes countries are at different stages on a linear path that will ultimately lead to industrialized and ordered societies. However, modernization theory has been criticized for being overly simplistic and ethnocentric by ignoring local contexts, cultures, and the political and historical factors that influence development. It also fails to account for inequality and poverty that can persist despite economic growth. While initially optimistic, modernization theory's inability to adequately explain development outcomes led to the rise of dependency and neo-Marxist theories in the 1970s that offered alternative perspectives.

Artificial Intelligence for XMLDevelopment
In the rapidly evolving landscape of technologies, XML continues to play a vital role in structuring, storing, and transporting data across diverse systems. The recent advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) present new methodologies for enhancing XML development workflows, introducing efficiency, automation, and intelligent capabilities. This presentation will outline the scope and perspective of utilizing AI in XML development. The potential benefits and the possible pitfalls will be highlighted, providing a balanced view of the subject.
We will explore the capabilities of AI in understanding XML markup languages and autonomously creating structured XML content. Additionally, we will examine the capacity of AI to enrich plain text with appropriate XML markup. Removing Uninteresting Bytes in Software Fuzzing
Imagine a world where software fuzzing, the process of mutating bytes in test seeds to uncover hidden and erroneous program behaviors, becomes faster and more effective. A lot depends on the initial seeds, which can significantly dictate the trajectory of a fuzzing campaign, particularly in terms of how long it takes to uncover interesting behaviour in your code. We introduce DIAR, a technique designed to speedup fuzzing campaigns by pinpointing and eliminating those uninteresting bytes in the seeds. Picture this: instead of wasting valuable resources on meaningless mutations in large, bloated seeds, DIAR removes the unnecessary bytes, streamlining the entire process.
In this work, we equipped AFL, a popular fuzzer, with DIAR and examined two critical Linux libraries -- Libxml's xmllint, a tool for parsing xml documents, and Binutil's readelf, an essential debugging and security analysis command-line tool used to display detailed information about ELF (Executable and Linkable Format). Our preliminary results show that AFL+DIAR does not only discover new paths more quickly but also achieves higher coverage overall. This work thus showcases how starting with lean and optimized seeds can lead to faster, more comprehensive fuzzing campaigns -- and DIAR helps you find such seeds.
