Application Management and Support - Shared Services Featuring the Pay Per Ti...Jade Global
Today, a variety of IT applications support business processes, giving it a competitive edge. Hence, applications that drive these businesses need to evolve just as rapidly while ensuring uninterrupted service to the customer.
Systems and applications do stabilize over time, but they still need maintenance. However, maintaining support resources and infrastructure can be costly and time consuming. Several models have emerged in the recent past that try and address this challenge, however a majority of them have had little success, frustrating service providers and customers alike and leaving neither of them satisfied.
In this webinar, our Consulting Director, Manoj Machiwal, will talk about how to address these challenges using the Pay per Ticket Model, a phase of new revolution in the AMS industry.
Get the maximum from your application support and maintenance investments and take a look at the future road map of AMS.

Your Challenge:
Implementing a shared services model is a difficult process to undertake, and is comprised of many different components. Becoming a shared services provider is comparable to becoming a vendor and most IT groups don’t have the capabilities to easily make the transition.
Most companies look to achieve cost reductions through offering a shared services model. Adopting a shared services model doesn’t always result in these intended cost reductions. Simply combining the operations of two IT organizations doesn’t necessarily result in economies of scale and cost efficiencies. Before leaping forward with your shared services implementation, determine if the project will deliver value to your organization.
Our Advice - Critical Insight:
Implementing a shared services model needs to be viewed as more than simply extending a current service to other sites. The organization providing services essentially turns into a vendor. As a vendor, think of the IT service you’re offering as the “product.”
Remember that there are people, process, and technology capability pre-requisites to successfully becoming a shared services provider. These capabilities are not typical for the average IT shop, and need to be taken into consideration when you look to transition to a shared services model.
Our Advice - Impact and Result:
Before jumping into the implementation of your shared services project, assess your customer requirements and your current people, process, and technology capabilities to assess whether your organization is ready to implement a shared services model.
Understand the financial implications of moving to a shared services model prior to implementing. Make sure there is a strong case for implementation.

Best Practices for Implementing a Service Catalog and Enhanced ITSMhdicapitalarea
The Service Catalog is the end-user view into IT – a ‘Shop Window’ where IT can advertise the available services. Service Management is all about delivering and maintaining the IT services required by the Business to perform the operations of the organization.
Historically, IT operations management (ITOM) teams have been focused on system health and up-time, while separately, IT service management (ITSM) teams manage and remediate end-user issues. The silos between these two functions have spurned challenges that can be overcome with improved integration, collaboration, and transparency across practices. ITSM and ITOM teams are working toward the same goals of up-time, accessibility and improved customer experience. So why can’t they integrate better for delivering on these objectives?
In this presentation, we explore:
The cause and business impact of silo'ed ITSM and ITOM practices
The benefits of improving integration, collaboration, and transparency across practices
Ways for you to exploit the inefficiencies and key metrics you can present the business in advocating for a better solution
And, we’ll introduce the solution of platform thinking, where silos are broken down between IT practices, and technology is operated and managed as a unified front with an open framework of adaptability.
Learn how to present a better solution for improving IT efficiencies, delivering improved customer experience, and enabling innovation throughout your organization, by bringing ITSM and ITOM practices together.
ITOM Platform features to look for if ITSM integration is important to your organization:
SERVICE HEALTH MANAGEMENT: Unified discovery and intelligence, Live asset Inventory, Unified service performance, Visual workflows in service maps
AIOPS MACHINE LEARNING: Intelligent event correlation, Noise suppression, Situational awareness, Incident Response
INTEGRATED TICKETING REQUESTS: Automated Escalations, Comprehensive Incident Collaboration
POLICY AUTOMATION SCRIPTS: Out of the box scripts, Customize scripts
SERVICE REMEDIATION: Enforce Process Governance, Automated Remediation Policies, Secure Infrastructure Access

VPN as the Key for a Successful MSP BusinessSafar Safarov
“VPN as the Key for a Successful MSP Business” is a Tactical eHandbook that reveals Virtual Private Networks as the tactics of a successful delivering of managed services and presupposes that you are an IT Services Provider whose strategy is delivering of managed services already. Please be aware that Virtual Private Networks are considered in the eHandbook as a way of delivering of managed services, but not as a service itself.
IT Services have been an in-house function for most of organizations across the globe a decade ago. With rapid growth in new technologies and expansion of customer base, organizations were unable to adapt to changes relying solely on their in-house IT teams. This gave rise to external IT service providers and proliferation of multiple engagement models.
This is a presentation about an organization's cultural readiness to adopt IT Service Management principles and roadmaps. Further information can be found at the following blog article
Companies typically find the demands of application management overly complex. As a result, more and more companies are turning to outsourcing application management functions. The fundamental value proposition offers service improvement and cost reduction from sharing the outsourcing provider’s technical resources.
No “one size fits all” managed services solution will ever be ideal for every business. When evaluating prospective providers, consider important services such as monitoring, reporting, backup, remote management and security. Also consider key provider qualifications including location, third-party certifications, customer references, in-house staffing resources and contract items. After outsourcing, you should see immediate results in cost controls and service delivery.

Effective governance is a critically important enabler in achieving “top performer” status. “Governance” is the third topic in a supply chain learning series presented by ScottMadden and Shared Services & Outsourcing Network (SSON). In this session, we focus on the key building blocks of effective supply chain governance models including decision rights, performance metrics, service level agreements, and issue escalation/resolution. In addition, we discuss how to create alignment across an enterprise for a consistent supply chain strategy that clearly differentiates transactional efficiency from higher-value, strategic activities.

Artificial intelligence (AI) offers new opportunities to radically reinvent the way we do business. This study explores how CEOs and top decision makers around the world are responding to the transformative potential of AI.
The case study discusses the potential of drone delivery and the challenges that need to be addressed before it becomes widespread.
Key takeaways:
Drone delivery is in its early stages: Amazon's trial in the UK demonstrates the potential for faster deliveries, but it's still limited by regulations and technology.
Regulations are a major hurdle: Safety concerns around drone collisions with airplanes and people have led to restrictions on flight height and location.
Other challenges exist: Who will use drone delivery the most? Is it cost-effective compared to traditional delivery trucks?
Discussion questions:
Managerial challenges: Integrating drones requires planning for new infrastructure, training staff, and navigating regulations. There are also marketing and recruitment considerations specific to this technology.
External forces vary by country: Regulations, consumer acceptance, and infrastructure all differ between countries.
Demographics matter: Younger generations might be more receptive to drone delivery, while older populations might have concerns.
Stakeholders for Amazon: Customers, regulators, aviation authorities, and competitors are all stakeholders. Regulators likely hold the greatest influence as they determine the feasibility of drone delivery.
