1. Scrutiny by expert committee in UGC WRO
2. List is published on ugc website and later letter is
sent to concerned college and candidate
3. Investigator have to send Acceptance letter in
prescribed format to ugc.

8. Release of Grants
•1st Installment•100% of Non recurring grant
• 50% of Recurring grant
• 2nd Installment•After submitting Annual progress report and
• Utilisation certificate
•40% of remaining grant will be released
• Remaining 10% will be released after
submitting necessary documents

9. Documents to be submitted at
final submission
• Final Project Report
• Soft copy of Project Report
• Statement of Expenditure signed by Principal
and investigator
• Audited utilisation certificate signed by
Chartered Accountant
• Draft of unutilized grant

10. • Investigator should finalize his accounts within
six months after submission. Otherwise no
claims shall be admitted
• While submitting the report ‘Executive
summary’ of the report and Research
publication based on the project should be
uploaded on College or University website.
• Investigator should return all grants if he can
not complete project within prescribed period.
• No extension is granted in any circumstances.

11. MAJOR RESEARCH
PROJECT
All basic conditions are same.
Additionally any retired teacher can also take this
project provided that there should one permanent
teacher from department as co investigator.
As per the UGC Guidelines Ph.D is not required as
essential qualification.
