1. MAGAZINE PITCH

I have been asked to generate several idea on making my own
magazine for my next assignment. I have been asked to produce
a presentation to pitch idea for my own magazine. I will consider
what names I will use, what fonts are suitable as well as layout
and color scheme etc.

2. GENERATING IDEAS FOR MY MAGAZINE
• Genre- the genre of the magazine will be sport.
• Font- the font of the magazine will be a font where it stands out and is funky so it will
attract the audiences attention.
• Layout- The layout of the magazine will be an A4 piece of paper with all the codes and
conventions.
• Flat plan- it will be a A4 piece of paper, which will contain codes and conventions. Which
are mastheads, subheadings, main selline, a barcode, dominant image, date, issue
number and price.
• Target audience- i will have to perform an audience profile so that i can recognise what
audience. I will identify the audience profile by asking questions. Such as age, gender,
employment, social class, psychographics, hobbies and interests and why they would
want to buy my magazine.
• Primary content- I need to plan and take primary content.

• There is one major reason why you shouldn't’t use other people work. This is because, if you use
someone else's work they could get you into trouble and you could get sued. You need to think about
the legal and ethical reasons behind these images.

• IMAGE 1
• When it came to image 1 I had to erase out jacks lanyard so it would not show on the final picture.
• I had to crop out the doors and the fire extinguisher as well as the doors on the left and the right.
• I decided I would dim the picture to make it have a dark theme to it to link in with the genre.
• I rotated the image a few times to see where it would look best. I also had to use the magic wand to get jack out
of the image.

• Image two was different. This was because it was not as hard. I also had to use the magic wand when it came to
making jacks character perfect for the magazine.
• I made the image black and white.
• I changed the brightness and contrast of the image.
• I also cropped on this image as well to get right of the white background.

• With this image it was a bit harder. I had to also dim the lighting of the image.
• As well as change the colour scheme of the picture to black and white. This was because I wanted to it to have a
good image on the reader of the magazine/ target audience.
• I also decided to add a bit of blur to the image to add affect to the reader.
