Eugene Gladstone O'Neill (16 October 1888 –
27 November 1953) was an American
playwright, and Nobel laureate for Literature.
Long Day’s Journey into Night (1956), for
which he own his final Pulitzer posthumously
in 1957. It has gained its status as a world
classic and simultaneously marks the climax
of O’Neill’s literary career and the coming of
age of American drama.
