Location recce
- 1. Location Recce. Our opening sequence is taking place at just one location, a house. The start of the opening sequence will be filmed outside the house. When we first visited the our location i noticed that the road gets quite busy and loud during the evening. If we filmed in the evening this would effect the sound quality and drown out the dialogue making it very hard to understand what the characters are saying. To prevent this from happening we have decided to film in the early after noon as i noticed that at this time of day the road we are filming on and the surrounding roads are no where as busy as they are in the evenings. Also this means that the area is a lot quieter so we wont have to worry about the dialogue being drowned out or their being any unnecessary background noises making it hard to understand the dialogue. Another thing that i noticed while visiting our filming location is that the sun begins to set around 5PM. This would not be ideal as the sun setting will cast shadows of the surrounding buildings and objects accross the actors/actresses faces. This would take away from the atmosphere of our opening sequence and ruin the mood. Therefore we will make sure that all of the outside filming will be done before 5pm and the sun starts to set. This way we wont have to worry about the mood of the opening sequence being ruined by shadows. We plan on filming our opening sequence on a week day between the hours of 12pm and 5pm. We have chosen to film on a weekday as this means there will not be a risk of children playing in the street creating noise as they are likely to be at school. Also it is likely that their is going to be less cars on the road on a weekday between these hours as their is on a weekend. Which means that our dialogue will not be drowned out by lots of vehicles passing by. We have chose to film between the hours of 12pm and 5pm as the sun is likely to be out and wont be casting shadows where we need to film. Where we are going to film is a very tranquil and quiet area between these hours . Therefore we will not have to worry too much about unnecessary background noises drowning out the dialogue and making it hard for the audience to understand what is being said.
