This document discusses the location plans for a student film project. The primary location is an apartment building with outdoor and indoor areas that will serve as the setting. Key considerations addressed include potential hazards from weather, interference from the public, and narrow hallways. Permission will need to be obtained from the building manager. A backup indoor location is also identified that has less space but is still accessible.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

The French Revolution, which began in 1789, was a period of radical social and political upheaval in France. It marked the decline of absolute monarchies, the rise of secular and democratic republics, and the eventual rise of Napoleon Bonaparte. This revolutionary period is crucial in understanding the transition from feudalism to modernity in Europe.

2. Potential Hazard Location Who Is At Risk? How Are You Going
To Make Sure It
Doesn’t Happen?
Who’s
Responsibility?
Weather/ bad weather
can ruin the shot and can
break the equipment.
Outside the apartment
building.
the crew. The person in charge of
finding the location
would check the weather
before filming. Extra
precautions would be
taken to make sure the
equipment stays dry.
It would be the crew’s
responsibility.
The public/ the public
could ruin the shots or
could get angry if we get
them in a shot.
Outside the apartment
building.
The crew and the public. We could avoid this
situation by not recording
when the public are
around and filming on a
day and time that people
are not going to be at
home and by having
signs around to let
people know that we are
filming so that everyone
is a where of the
situation.
It would crew be the
responsibility.
Narrow hall ways/ we
could get the way of the
public and they could
bump into us with the
equipment and it can get
broken.
In side the hallway of the
apartment building.
The crew and the public. We would make sure that
we were careful of the
public and make the
public a where that we
are their with sighs and
by informing the with a
note on the information
It would be the crews
responsibility.
3. LOCATION
Our film is set around and in an apartment building. a tall tower, kind
of gritty with long stairways. Out side the apartment building is when
we first meet the protagonist of our short film. This setting is suitable
for we wanted it to look and feel realistic so the audience can connect
with the character.
4. SOUND
The location we have chosen to film on is near a road and a school
this could make a lot of sound depending on the time of day we
chose to film but as we have decided to not have any diegetic sound
this would not be a problem for us.
5. LIGHTING
We do not need any additional lighting because out side there is a lot
of natural light so know extra lighting is required and inside of the
building there is a lot of artificial light so we wouldn’t need any extra
light inside either.
6. ACCESS AND AVAILABILITY
The location is at walking distance for our actor and for one of our
production members and it is only on bus away for the other member
and it is the home of our other member.
Having the location this close makes it essayer to get the group
together to discuss production and maybe film extra footage
The location we are filming at is available at all time but we were
advised to film on Sundays as it’s the least bustiest day of the week
for the building.
7. PERMISSIONS
To film in our chosen location we would need permission from the
building manager at reception who works for the royal borough of
Greenwich.
8. BACK UP LOCATION
This would be in another apartment building of another group
member this area has all of the same aspects of the other location
that we liked the only issue is the size of the stairwell.
There would be more public interference as it is much closer to the
bus station.
Like are primary location it is easy to get to its is one bus for all of
the production members except the member who lives there.
9. SPACE
In our primary location there is a lot of space to film and set up
equipment and still having space for the public to pass
In the secondary location it is a lot smaller and there is less space to
set up and we may be in the way of the public.
