The Major Impacts Of Car Advertising And Its Impact On...
Have you ever been in a situation where multiple salesmen start giving you advice to persuade you to
buy this vehicle, but you do not know whose advice to take? Car buying has become increasingly
difficult for many new comers as the sales people try to convince you to buy a more expensive car
than you actually need. How would you decide to find a car that is perfect for you? Most consumers
usually base their decision on ads of the cars and car s brand. Advertising has a major impact and
sway consumers one way than another usually to buy a product. These ads influence many of
decisions from buying clothes to buying cars through many forms of media: newspapers, tv ads, social
media, and more. Advertising has been around since the ancient civilizations. Ever since people have
been selling product to others, ads have been placed strategically to lure consumers and buy their
product. Business owners usually try to place ads in newspapers, on building, benches and more, so
they are recognized by the public more. The advertising business has dispersed into many areas of
product from food to houses and more. Luxury cars officially became a category of cars in the 1920s
when Advanced technology and old fashioned craftsmanship became keynotes and people with
enough money to buy the finest cars available emerged. These category of cars typically attracted
wealth consumers as with living in luxury requires a significant amount of assets. The wealthy usually

Hamhocks And Flakehead Case Summary
Hamhocks and Flakehead would be able to show that CBC and its reporter Dan Blather invaded
privacy by intrusion by looking at the elements of intrusion, the expectations of privacy, the areas of
concern, private places and posing. First off, the elements of intrusion state that one may be liable for
invasion of privacy if one intentionally intrudes. In this case, it can be determined that Blather
intruded on the workspace and privacy of Hamhocks and Flakehead because he was sent there as part
of his reporting job. Blather did follow the defined elements of intrusion, which also include intruding
upon the solitude or seclusion of another or his private affairs and concerns in a way that would be a
highly offensive to the reasonable person. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This section also states that since employees and patrons of businesses, such as Hamhocks and
Flakehead, have privacy rights, they can sue for intrusion. Areas of concern under intrusion include
surreptitious recording and photographing, which is exactly what Blathers did. While Nirvana allows
the use of hidden microphones, it prohibits the surreptitious photographing of people in places where
they have a reasonable expectation of privacy. As explained earlier, the plaintiffs had a reasonable
expectation of privacy since they were in a closed office space talking to someone they believed to be
a coworker, and Blathers was found to be photographing the area. Lastly, looking at posing, it s easy
to see that Blathers is at the wrong here. By posing as an employee instead of a reporter, Blathers can
face charges such as fraud along with intrusion. Posing goes along with intrusion, and since the first
amendment does not protect reporters who break the law to gather news, Blathers would be found
guilty of

Bowling For Columbine Documentary Analysis
Problems with Our America Gunshots shriek through the school of Columbine. On April 20th, 1999
this terrible massacre occurred. Michael Moore created a documentary called Bowling for Columbine.
His film highlights gun issues America has today. Also Moore shows how the news and reports are
what has helped to cause most of America s problems. Documentaries such as this one are must see
films. Michael Moore is a precise, driven man who helps give this documentary a storyline. Bowling
for Columbine is extremely graphic which helps add emotion to the documentary. He also has many
different interviews with multiple people which were pushy yet informative. Michael Moore wrote
and directed Bowling for Columbine in 2002. Moore s purpose is to show how America is fearful of
what the media has shown us. Also Moore shows how no one really knows the answer to his question
about why other countries with violent past have less murders than us. The media today shows many
different stories, many of which have one thing in common, they cause fear. In the documentary, the
news teams would show ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Moore s best quality in interviewing was being quite. He would pause and allow for silence which
would make the other person nervous and they would keep talking. He often angered people and
would keep asking questions until the people eventually told him to leave. He interviewed Charlton
Heston, president of the NRA. Moore explained how he himself is a NRA member. He asked many
questions that neither Heston nor Moore knew the answer to. His interviews were interesting and
informative. They helped prove his point about the media after he interviewed local news teams about
the pollution. News teams only report on what will get the most attention. Murders and violence are
what cause the most paranoia and what get the most views. Moore is a thoughtful interviewer, and his
interviews helped shape and provide structure to this

Compare And Contrast The Dynasties Of China And India
The history of the development of China and India are very different. India was broken up into many
different settlements ran by different people, such as dynasties and empires. On the other hand, China
was always more united and was also ran by a dynasty. A dynasty is a government ran by the same
family, only to be thrown out of power by a new dynasty. The dynasties of China were successful,
where as the dynasties of India were not as fortunate. There were a few factors that set the Chinese
dynasties up for success compared to the Indian dynasties.
One of important factors was that religious sentiments did not affect the strength of the leadership in
China. This made Chinese unification a lot easier. India was not able to unify itself because

Chuck Close Analysis
Chuck Close is a modern American artist who has achieved success for his large scale portraits. Yes, I
would describe Close s work as a form of language because it explored the established visual
presentation from the portraits. The subject of his portraits has been drawn from himself, his family,
and friends. His works explain that it has been driven by his lifelong learning difficulties. His portraits
tell everything about his struggle to remember the faces while drawing. Also, the uses of the grid to
break down every image that he paints into small incremental units showed that we could easily focus
on each part of his paintings. I would consider this exploration of an artist at work as good and well
deserving artworks in exploring the process.

Myths Are Stories That Express Meaning, Morality Or...
Myths are stories that express meaning, morality or motivation. Whether they are true or not is
irrelevant. This was quoted by writer Michael Shermer, and it still holds today. This quote displays
that myths have the power to take the reader away from reality and launch them into a world of
mystery and phenomena. Also, even if myths have different stories and different characters, they all in
some way portray regular societal values. For example, The Fisherman and The Jinnee , Sifrit , and
Song of Roland all tell divergent stories with very diverse characters. But by the end, they all portray
the values of righteousness and how one man, or hero can rescue an entire society.
A myth is an image of terms in which we try to make ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They eventually race in the woods to get drinks and when it is not suspicious, Hagen stabs Sifrit in the
weak spot with a lance. Gunther kills Hagen immediately after. Once Chriemhilde hears of what
happened, she begins to kill most of those who were involved with his murder. However, she
eventually gets killed by the Huns.
In Roland, the main hero Rollanz is a powerful, courageous, and determined hero who is protected by
ruler Charlemagne. In the 7 year war, he had to influence an army through an ambush by himself. As
the warrior he is, he fights the battle rather than calling in reinforcements. However, this lead to the
tragic death of his comrade Olivier, and most of his soldiers. Towards the end, he blew the oil paint
which hollered for help to aid the rest of his people. This decision lead to his death, which makes him
a martyr. Roland is similar to the myths of Sundiata and Fisherman and the Jinnee because of their
actions and decision making made them heroes in their respective myths. Each of these myths have a
hero either protecting their loved ones, or saving their loved ones from danger. In Sundiata, the griot is
illustrated as brave, due to his willingness to slay enemies left and right, while disregarding his own
safety in battle, much like Rollanz. However, in the Fisherman and the Jinnee, the main fisherman
does not use violence but instead he uses his genius intellect to take himself out of tough situations.

Software Quality Implementation For Quality Assessment
ABSTRACT
Software quality is one of the most important concerns of software industry. Software testing helps in
measuring and verifying quality of a software product. There are several methodologies followed by
testing process for quality assessment. Each methodology has its own advantages and disadvantages.
Agile testing follows agile software development principles in which software is tested for
performance issues. In this paper we analyze quality assurance using agile processes and will
demonstration how agile process achieves software quality assessment.
INTRODUCTION
When selecting a software development methodology, priority should be given to customer
satisfaction through timely and continuous delivery of software. Customers are ... Show more content

Interacting directly with customers helps to understand customer s need. Moreover, it can up bring
success to the project. o Responding to Change
Software project may have inevitable changes which have to be corrected. Such unexpected issues
must be accommodated by the development process.
Team members with diverse skillset and knowledge would be useful when developing software using
agile. This whole team approach encourages effective and efficient team. It allows rapid project
delivery. Project feedback is possible at early stages of software development lifecycle (Cockburn,
Alistair, and Williams 2003). Therefore agile methodology is considered as cost as well as time
effective.
II. THE AGILE TECHNIQUES Most commonly used agile techniques are discussed here. Factors
associated with them help us to make a choice between different agile techniques.
Most commonly used agile techniques here:
Extreme Programming (XP)
Key principles described by Extreme Programming (XP) are communication, simplicity, feedback,
courage, and quality work (Beck 2000). Extreme programming practices can be followed only when
team size is small. This is not suitable process for distributed teams. Project length is general short
which is around 2 weeks.
Scrum
Scrum technique does not provide any guidance how testing should be progressed. Hence scrum
projects are usually divided into iterations also called as sprints. (Cervone 2011) Length of

The hillside was steep and vastly dense as indicated in previous paragraphs. This restricted movement
upward to almost a crawl. Delta Company In one grueling five hour period, the company labored to
advance a total of only 500 meters (Ibid, 95). At the time, Brigade Commander Colonel Conmy
reached a decision point to reinforce the Iron Rakkasans with 1st 506 Infantry Currahees to assist in
seizing Hill 937. The two Battalions attempted and failed to reach the top of the hill. Currahees
leadership under estimated the terrain just as LTC Honeycutt originally did. This resulted in the same
results Iron Rakkasans dealt with for the prior four days of the attack. Artillery was used to hold the
enemy at bay while friendly forces established defensive position during night fall. Bombardment
came from artillery and air strikes continued and stopped. Key reason the tubes staying cold at times
of much needed support with firing was results of fratricide. Without a doubt the importance of
support assets slowed the movement upward even more. Over time, U.S. bombs and napalm stripped
away the foliage and exposed the North Vietnamese Army s bunkers. But they were so many and so
well built that they could not be destroyed by indirect firepower alone (Zaffiri, 208). Napalm and

The Real Lesson of New Coke: The Value of Focus Groups for Predicting the Effects of Social

decision to change the flavor of the cotnpany s flagship brand. The events that followed from this
decision, as well as the faetors which led up to it, have been reviewed, discussed, and extensively

was also intense media coverage of those consumers who did not like the new Coke and were angry
about the change. In a number of cities, old Coke loyalists sponsored protest rallies and boycotts and
received widespread media attention. By June, it was becoming apparent to Coke s management that
consumer dissatisfaction with the reformulation was increasing. The stream of angry letters and phone

Taking a Look at Molecular Cuisine
Molecular cuisine, a relatively new style of cooking, is taking the world by surprise and changing the
way food is prepared, cooked and looked at. People are asking a lot of questions such as Is it safe?,
What kinds of chemicals are used?, Who decided to start this whole thing?, How did it start, and
when?, and What kind of equipment do the cooks use? These are all very good questions and the
answers are out there, they just have to be found. Food and science have been combined to create
something extraordinary called molecular cuisine. The question that is probably going through the
reader s head by now is What is it? Well, molecular cuisine is physics and chemistry applied food to
create different flavours, textures and to amaze the five senses. It is also another way of preparing
food to provide other ways of cooking and to create more possibilities for cooking food. There are
many other names for molecular cuisine such as molecular gastronomy, avant garde cuisine,
experimental cuisine, modern cuisine, and modernist cuisine. The now late oxford physicist Nicholas
Kurti and French chemist Hervé This came up with the term molecular gastronomy for the new style
of cooking/science they started experimenting with back in the 1980 s. People are definitely interested
in molecular cuisine but don t know whether it is safe or not. Some of the chemicals that are used in
molecular cuisine come from natural origins. The material origin in typically plant,

Elderly Patients Communication
10 Tips for Nurses for Effective Communication with Elderly Patients
Effective communication facilitates positive patient outcomes. [1] When caring for senior patients,
this might involve providing for certain issues. Older patients may have multiple conditions, such as
hearing loss, vision impairment, dementia, or Alzheimer s disease. Additionally, providers may have
to address sensitive topics, such as end of life care.
When treating the elderly, it s important not to make assumptions about patients abilities and take the
time to understand the conditions and circumstance that are unique to each client; patients may or may
not suffered from age related impairments. While the following tips might appear time consuming at

John Smith Critique
In the wealth of nations Smith makes numerous bold claims, these suggestions need to be scrutinised
and weighed up, the following paragraphs will now put his hypothesis under the torch light. Smith
does have some legitimate points however, there also many that have holes in his claims too, in
reality; his idealistic theory of free market is not as advantageous he contends, in fact, the free market
has many disadvantages to it. Smith was quite clearly, a fierce critic of mercantilism and some of his
criticisms do appear to be valid. Smith argument can be demonstrated via Tariffs as they do interfere

Corn was not another commodity like most in the times, as it was necessary for guaranteeing the
subsistence of the population. The demand and need for corn was massive, it was unlikely for the
demand of corn to really diminish. It should and would be seen as morally questionable, to make corn
a full commodity. In the modern society, corn may be not as much of a commodity as it was back then
but there still plenty of goods and services that can be considered committed such as free healthcare,
educations water, energy and so forth. Isaiah berlin s idea of positive liberty is the basis of this concept
that essentially, the state needs to create a society where it is for an individual to rise and progress
however certain industries are needed to ensure. Put in the simplest terms, one might say that a
democratic society is a free society because it is a self determined society, and that a member of that
society is free to the extent that he or she participates in its democratic process. But there are also
individualist applications of the concept of positive freedom. For example, it is sometimes said that a
government should aim actively to create the conditions necessary for individuals to be self sufficient
or to achieve self realization . A without public education and healthcare, many would not not be able
to afford these necessities which would increase poverty and mortality as there are basics for

Liebeck v. McDonald s, also known as the McDonald s Coffee Case, is a 1994 product liability
lawsuit. This lawsuit became one of the most famous in the US history because after the court s
awarded Stella Liebeck $2.9 million, after she was severely burned by the coffee she brought from
McDonald, there were debates over tort reform in the US. Stella Liebeck, a 79 year old woman was in
the passenger seat of her grandson s car, while she ordered a coffee from McDonald s. Liebeck s
nephew parked the car to allow his grandmother to add cream and sugar to her coffee. When she

The high initial temperature would keep the coffee hot during the trip. However, this contradicts the
company s own research that showed customers actually intend to consume the coffee while driving.
The decision of the jury was based on the principles of comparative negligence. McDonald s was
found guilty and responsible 80% for the coffee burn. Liebeck was found responsible 20% for the
occurrence of the incident. Though there was a warning on the coffee cup, the jury decided that the
warning was not large enough nor sufficient. They awarded Liebeck $200,000 in compensatory
damages, which was reduced to $160,000, and an additional $2.7 million in punitive damages, which
was reduced to $480,000. The decision was appealed by both McDonald s and Liebeck, and both
parties settled out of court for an undisclosed amount less than $600,000. This lawsuit had impact on
both the business world and the rules of the law. McDonald s was forced to reexamine its policy.
McDonald s was aware of the risk and hazard, but undertook nothing to mitigate or reduce the risk of
injury. The company knew about burn hazards and continued to serve coffee hot to save money and

Pre-Independence Period In The Pre Independence Period
2.2 English in India:
2.2.1 Pre Independence Period:
English language was widely exposed to our country due to the British conquest. It was started to
accept by the people when the British first came to India after the incorporation of the East India
Company in 1600, and gained roots especially by the educational policies of a Governor general Lord
Macaulay.
The growth of English in India is well explained by Timothy J. Scrase in the following words:
Since the days of the British Raj, English remained the language of domination, status and privilege in
India. The hegemonic colonial project in India was to create and maintain a class of administrative

Meanwhile two groups came in existence. One group was the Anglicists advocated the revival of
English and second was the Orientalists who advocated the revival of Sanskrit and Persian learning in
India but the noted Hindu leaders like Raja Ram Mohan Roy and Christian missionaries like William

between these groups. It withheld the smooth progress of English in India.
Then Lord Macaulay was appointed as the president of the committee in 1834. His main contention
was that the study of English could be beneficial to those Indians who were pursuing higher studies
than Arabic and Sanskrit. He pointed out that there was already an effective demand for English. He
argued that:
since indigenous languages were inadequate and chaotic, and indigenous arts and literature were petty

Pine Wilt Essay
Pine wilt is a disease of pine trees caused by Pinewood nematodes, a microscopic roundworm. Though
all species of pines found east of the Rocky Mountains in the United States are hosts, Pinewood
nematode is most commonly found on Scotch pine. Native pine tree species are resistant, with the
nematodes being more of a problem on introduced species of pines. Most often the first sign of pine
wilt is the sudden decline and death of an entire pine tree, usually from the warmest part of the
summer through the fall. The dead tree could retain its needles for as long as one year. Because the
dead wood is dry it becomes very brittle. Pinewood nematode is transmitted from tree to tree by pine
sawyer beetles which overwinter as larvae in dead pines or pine logs which still have the bark
attached. After pupating, the adult pine sawyer beetles, carrying nematodes in their tracheae, fly to
healthy host pine trees where the nematodes enter through feeding wounds. Pinewood nematodes
migrate to resin canals where they feed and rapidly reproduce. The resin canal system is damaged and
water movement in the tree is disrupted. Once the pine tree dies the nematodes continue to feed and
reproduce on blue stain fungus which infects the tree. In summer, female pine sawyer beetles carry
nematodes as they fly back to dead pine wood where they lay their eggs. Eggs ... Show more content

This is a very important, but rarely discussed issue that goes to the central tenets of liberty.
Our civil rights are based upon the control of private property. In fact one could argue that it s not
even private property if it s under government edict. While some would like to cite the adage that
possession is nine tenths of the law the reality is that ownership is vested in the entity that controls an
item s storage, use and transference. If the government controls those parameters it is the true owner
of that property with the people being it s temporary possessors.
There are those desirous of control who want people to think that firearms as somehow different than
other items of property, simply because those items are a constraint over governmental power. While
lorries and other motorised vehicles can be deadly, they don t serve as a constraint on tyranny so they
are no concern of the Left. The plain fact is that firearms aren t any different than other types of
property. As it is with the government, the slippery slope will see them try to control other types of
property if it can get people to accept it with firearms.

NHS Student Goals
For my research project, I would like to do a study on What are the goals of the average NHS student?
. This project will help educators, parents and students understand how to help students and
themselves to achieve their goals. I will use quantitative and qualitative research, and will present my
final results in a powerpoint. This research is important, because it will show educators, students and
parents what the typical student wants to achieve currently. Students can check and see if their goals
are similar to their peers. That might show them where they stand compared to their classmates, and
that might change their goals, long term ones or short term ones.Parents and educators can see the
statistics and see where students want to see each themselves,in 10 years or in 10 days. That will help
them better understand how to get the students, where they want to be. From this research, I expect to
learn the average NHS students goals, short term and long term. I will ... Show more content on

For quantitative studies, I will give questionnaires to various, random people in my school. I will have
two different questionnaires, one will be a little more specific, by asking about long term and short
term goals. Both questionnaires will ask the participants demographics, such as grade and race. I will
ask different students in my classes and in the hallways, if they would like to take my questionnaire.
For qualitative studies, I will interview students and give out open response surveys. Like how I did
for my quantitative research studies, I will ask random students in my classes and in the hallways if
they would like to take my survey and if I could interview them. I will have two open response
surveys, one being more specific, which will ask about long term and short term goals. In my short
interview, I will vaguely ask the student if they have any goals then ask them about

Why Chewing Gum Should Be Allowed In School
Chewing gum helps you focus and comfort you at school.. It is important to have gum in schools
because it can help students have more success in school. Gum can also help those who are struggling
and boost their grades up.Gum would definitely have a positive impact and should be allowed in
schools.. Here are some reasons why gum should be in school.
First gum can increase blood flow to your brain. In the website (why gum should be allowed in school)
its says that Chewing gum increases blood flow to the brain which can help you focus better. This
shows that gum can help many people in school. Also in the article (pros and cons on chewing gum)

In the website (chew on this CNN) the woman said that the chewing motion in gum helps many
people calm themselves.
This evidence is important because if people get frustrated in school they can calm themselves by
chewing on gum. In (why chewing gum in school should be allowed in school) Studies also show that
people with gum have been doing better with those without on their academic grades. The person in
this article tells us how when he/she does homework chewing gum helps her focus better. GUM can
help many people and can also calm and help people do homework. Yes gum can be a problem for
school campus and can be littered around the school. But as stated in (custodians at work)By Mia
Lopez Zubiri custodians spend many hours trying to scrape gum off the bottom of desks, chairs,
floors, etc. As a result this can be very time consuming and more than likely slow down the custodians
working process.Critics have a valid point about why this is so bad to our school environment.
However we can organize special rules that if you are caught putting gum in desks on floors etc. you
will face a severe consequence therefore making the littering problem

Theoretical Importance Of Transportation
IMPORTANCE OF TRANSPORTATION AND 3 THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVES Having outlined
the current state of Nairobi s transportation system, this essay will now explain why public
transportation is important and the theoretical debates that surround urban transportation. One
characteristic that most cities have in common is that they have a system of transportation which
allows residents to be mobile. These transportation services expand the lives of its residents by
providing them a way to get opportunities for getting them from place to place which is especially
important for those who do not have access to vehicles (EU EXTRA Project 2001:1) These services
are used for a variety of different reasons, including but not limited to: shopping, commuting to
work/school and for leisure (ibid). As a result, it is critical for the urban community to have a well
managed transportation system because it allows people to move about their daily life in an efficient
way. Neoliberal, Marxist and Postcolonial perspectives offer different views on what effective mass
transportation services should look like and how they should be run. The World Bank (WB), a
Neoliberal leaning institution, has been very supportive of public transportation developments and
have promoted their sustainability because they believe that these systems help connect people to jobs,
health services and education in addition to being a driving force for economic growth (World Bank
2017). As cities are continuing to rapidly

The Last Stand Analysis
In the Last Stand, written by Nathaniel Philbrick he discusses a big leader in the Civil War, George
Armstrong Custer and how he led his troops with reckless courage. Philbrick wrote this book which
can be viewed in many ways: a bloody massacre that is a big part of American history, or a tale of
crazy arrogance and even unmatched bravery. One way that this book can be viewed as is the Last
Stand being viewed as an account of a well known battle that encapsulates the treatment of Native
Americans during the Indian Wars. The next option is that the Last Stand is a retelling story of a
history that does not glorify the United States Army in the Indian Wars, but shows the hubris and
reckless of the leaders and army. Finally, the Last Stand can be viewed as a double meaning, both the
last stand for Custer and the Last Stand for the Sitting Bull and the Lakota Sioux. In this essay, I m
going to discuss the ways in which Custer leads his troops and how he was a powerful leader during
this time.
Here is a little background on George Armstrong Custer. He was born December 5, 1839 in New
Rumley, Ohio. Custer was known for leading his men against Lakota and Cheyenne warriors at the
Battle of Little Bighorn and all his men ended up dying, but he remained to be one of the best generals
to lead men in a war/battle. Custer was a very smart and knowledgeable man, but he wasn t trusted by
many others. According to Reno s own testimony, he did not trust Custer s judgement; as a result,

Why Video Games Are Works Of Art Analysis
In the Article Why Video Games Are Works Of Art Kyle Chayka states his views on Roger Ebert s
argument made in the article Video Games can never be art. In Eberts article he says that video games
are something that can be won, and include rules and objectives, where art is a visually pleasing, and
emotionally powerful experience. As a result in Ebert saying this, Chayka comes back and states many
of the things he has experienced in video games. For example, he states I ve stood at the top of a grass
blown knoll overlooking the sea, a view that stretched to cover a land of sprawling islands traversed
only by my sailboat and me. I have played a musical instrument that controls the wind. I ve been a

Introduction Health care in America is at the center of controversy. It is a progressive and rapid
changing entity. Since the 1970s, America has seen many different types of programs and funds
created to help solve the issue of the cost of health care. Many of these programs are on the brink of
bankruptcy and have not done far enough to make it more affordable and assessable. Actually America
has the most expensive healthcare system in the world and not only is it the most expensive, but in
many areas such as quality of care, America is no where near the top among developed countries
(Davis, Stremikis, Squires, amp; Schoen, 2014). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This approach would greatly benefit people that are already under some type of government
healthcare because the government would find the best companies to work with in order to provide all
types of care from a routine visit to hospice. These companies would then charge the government only
for the services provided. This is where there is a big problem. Right now pricing for most of
American health care comes from a small group of doctors called the Specialty Society Relative Value
Scale Update Committee or RUC (Munro, 2013). This is problematic because this committee is
deciding the prices rather than the actual cost of products. If this process was changed then people
could use rationalization to determine that a government ran universal healthcare system would be in
the best self interest. Healthcare Committee Committees are very important in improving and
discussing ways to improve healthcare in America. There are many different types of committees that
would be assembled, but the most important one would be one to replace the RUC. An example of
what is wrong with the RUC is demonstrated in a balloon needed for sinus surgery. The balloon itself
costs 2,600 dollars to be made. The RUC priced it at 3,000 dollars for each procedure. This balloon
can be used up to 6 times before a new one must be used. Six procedures could be done with one
balloon that costs 2,600 dollars and Medicare will

Australia s International Obligations Analysis
Australia s international obligations are framed by the United Nations, as this organisation is
paramount to enforcing international law and fundamental human rights. The United Nations (UN)
was founded in 1945, shortly after World War II, by a group of representatives from fifty nations.
Their motive was to establish a stable forum in which international issues could be discussed and
prevent wars between powerful nations. The power and purpose of the UN is bound by its founding
charter, similar to a constitution, containing one hundred and eleven articles which authorize the rights
and obligations of members (United Nations, 2017). All states are of equal sovereignty and each state
in the General Assembly is entitled to one vote regardless ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Australia s international obligations extend extra territorially according to these agreements and
Australia is legally responsible for any contravention of obligations, regardless of whether or not an
Australian official was liable. However, the international obligations vary significantly between
Australia, PNG and Nauru, creating much difficulty in terms of effectively implementing these
obligations. For instance, Nauru is not a signatory to the Refugee Convention, nor do they have the
domestic legal structure to implement such obligations, due to the impoverished state of the country
(Dr Hathaway, 2016). PNG faces similar challenges in regards to the socio economic state of the
country and struggles to implement such obligations, despite being a signatory to the Refugee
Convention. Neither of these designated offshore processing states have the legal capacity to uphold
international obligations, thus creating great potential for violations of these obligations (Archbold,
2015). This impacts the Australian government as it is difficult to regulate activity in the regional
processing centres and if obligations were to be breached, the government would be responsible
regardless of who contravened. The Hon Chris Bowen MP commented on this issue, claiming that

Comparing Philosophy And Cosmological Approach To The...
Natural Theology is when both philosophy and theology work together as one to provide more logical
proof and understanding through nature that God actually does exist, as opposed to leaning on an
individual faith, revelation, experience or religion. Natural theology is the reasonable idea so to speak
that God exists and has always existed. This is examined through our natural understanding and
observation of nature, how things happen in the world and even through our own existence as human
beings. The main differences within Philosophy and Theology is that Philosophy for example is the
study and the knowledge of how the world works and of whom we, as humans are through reality and
the world we live in meanwhile, Theology is the study of God and religion which happens to be
completely different with how philosophy views God and religion. Although theology and philosophy
are completely different, when both come together, Natural theology comes about providing a new
approach of thought in the existence of God. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Ontological approach was developed by Saint Anselm, according to the lecture, This proof is
based upon the following reasoning: I can imagine a perfect being. Perfection and non existence are
logically inconsistent ideas, because failing to exist is an imperfection. (South University Online).
Basically this approach is said that merely existing is the necessary result of perfection. If we can
simply exist then, there must be a divine, perfect being that has always and also exists as well
however, afterwards, philosopher Immanuel Kant argued that simply because there is the thought that
existence is perfect, does not give us proof or enough information to say that in fact, there is a divine
being, Kant felt that it was all a simple thought and provided no natural proof of any

McDonald s Faces Millennial Challenge by: Julie Jargon
Aug 25, 2014
TOPICS: Change; Competitive Positioning
SUMMARY: McDonald s is losing its luster with younger consumers. Customers in their 20s and 30s
are defecting to competitors, in particular so called fast casual restaurants like Chipotle Mexican Grill
and gourmet burger chain Five Guys. Younger diners are seeking out fresher, healthier food and chains
that offer customizable menu options for little more than the price of a combo meal.
TERM PAPER APPLICATION: In analyzing the predicament, it is vital to cite facts and numbers, not
just subjective impressions. To start with, Consumer Reports magazine said that in a survey of more

I do have nostalgic memories of McDonald s, but Chipotle has much better quality food, or at least it
feels like they do, said Mr. Petersen, who recently graduated from Duke University.
McDonald s says new items like its McWrap sandwiches chicken and vegetables rolled in tortillas are
helping to woo millennials, consumers in their midteens to mid 30s. The Oak Brook, Ill. based
company also is trying to enhance its credibility with young customers by marketing more on digital
channels and testing mobile ordering and payment.
The millennial generation has a wider range of choices than any generation before them, McDonald s
Global Chief Brand Officer Steve Easterbrook said in an interview. They re promiscuous in their
brand loyalty. It makes it harder work for all of us to earn the loyalty of the millennial generation.
McDonald s U.S. sales struggles have also been compounded recently by other woes challenging Mr.
Thompson, a 24 year company veteran who became CEO in July 2012 after a decade of strong
growth.
In China, a former bright spot, sales have fallen after authorities last month accused a key supplier of
selling expired meat. McDonald s said the problem drove sales at existing locations in its Asia/Pacific,
Middle East and Africa region down by 7.3% in July.
In Russia, amid heightened tension between the West and Moscow over the conflict in Ukraine,
authorities last week closed some McDonald s restaurants in Moscow for alleged

Artificial Intelligence In Blade Runner
How are stylistic film features and conventions used by Ridley Scott to portray the dilemma of Nexus
6 replicants being more human than human ?
In an increasingly technological age, the defining aspects of the human condition continue to be
questioned. The ideas of identity, emotions and mortality encapsulate the quandary of the Nexus 6
replicants humanity in the neo noir film Blade Runner. The film, directed by Ridley Scott, depicts a
future in which a genetically manufactured group of beings known as replicants become hunted by
humans on earth after a bloody mutiny. Scott s insight into the development of artificial intelligence is
demonstrated through a wide variety of film techniques including lighting, sound, dialogue and
camera angles. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Artemis Fowl Chapter Summary
1. Summary The book Artemis Fowl so far has explored the life of the young boy Artemis Fowl the
second, and his quest to restore his family to the glory it once had. Artemis plans on doing this by the
means of fairies. He learned of their possession of gold, which lead him to kidnap a fairy with the
intention of making a profit.
Artemis Fowl the second, a twelve year old genius, is the protagonist of the story. He is a pale boy
who is gifted with computers, and he spends most of his time indoors. Though he does leave from the
haven of his family manor, Artemis dislikes being in the sun. Artemis father is absent in Artemis life,
though he may be alive, but Artemis still has Butler, his bodyguard and closest person he has to a
father. Artemis ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

her, he means the best.
2. Quote Analysis Even as the words came out, Artemis felt guilty. These mind games were having an
obvious effect on Holly, destroying her from the inside out. Was there really a need for this? This
quote is important because it shows Artemis growing sympathy for Holly. It marks how he is changing
as a character, adopting a more warm hearted personality. This is displayed on multiple occasions, an
example being Artemis making jokes, which is very unusual. Another example for this is his devotion
to his mother, always helping her, who suffers from some type of illness that involves her memory.
3. Personal Reflection I want to know more about Artemis father. Artemis seems to think that he is

Car buying has become increasingly difficult for many new comers as the sales people try to convince you to buy a more expensive car than you actually need. • 3. Hamhocks And Flakehead Case Summary Hamhocks and Flakehead would be able to show that CBC and its reporter Dan Blather invaded privacy by intrusion by looking at the elements of intrusion, the expectations of privacy, the areas of concern, private places and posing. First off, the elements of intrusion state that one may be liable for invasion of privacy if one intentionally intrudes. In this case, it can be determined that Blather intruded on the workspace and privacy of Hamhocks and Flakehead because he was sent there as part of his reporting job. Blather did follow the defined elements of intrusion, which also include intruding upon the solitude or seclusion of another or his private affairs and concerns in a way that would be a highly offensive to the reasonable person. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This section also states that since employees and patrons of businesses, such as Hamhocks and Flakehead, have privacy rights, they can sue for intrusion. Areas of concern under intrusion include surreptitious recording and photographing, which is exactly what Blathers did. While Nirvana allows the use of hidden microphones, it prohibits the surreptitious photographing of people in places where they have a reasonable expectation of privacy. As explained earlier, the plaintiffs had a reasonable expectation of privacy since they were in a closed office space talking to someone they believed to be a coworker, and Blathers was found to be photographing the area. Lastly, looking at posing, it s easy to see that Blathers is at the wrong here. By posing as an employee instead of a reporter, Blathers can face charges such as fraud along with intrusion. Posing goes along with intrusion, and since the first amendment does not protect reporters who break the law to gather news, Blathers would be found guilty of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Yes, I would describe Close s work as a form of language because it explored the established visual presentation from the portraits. The subject of his portraits has been drawn from himself, his family, and friends. His works explain that it has been driven by his lifelong learning difficulties. His portraits tell everything about his struggle to remember the faces while drawing. • 9. Myths Are Stories That Express Meaning, Morality Or... Myths are stories that express meaning, morality or motivation. Whether they are true or not is irrelevant. This was quoted by writer Michael Shermer, and it still holds today. This quote displays that myths have the power to take the reader away from reality and launch them into a world of mystery and phenomena. Also, even if myths have different stories and different characters, they all in some way portray regular societal values. For example, The Fisherman and The Jinnee , Sifrit , and Song of Roland all tell divergent stories with very diverse characters. But by the end, they all portray the values of righteousness and how one man, or hero can rescue an entire society. A myth is an image of terms in which we try to make ... Gunther kills Hagen immediately after. Once Chriemhilde hears of what happened, she begins to kill most of those who were involved with his murder. However, she eventually gets killed by the Huns. In Roland, the main hero Rollanz is a powerful, courageous, and determined hero who is protected by ruler Charlemagne. In the 7 year war, he had to influence an army through an ambush by himself. As the warrior he is, he fights the battle rather than calling in reinforcements. However, this lead to the tragic death of his comrade Olivier, and most of his soldiers. Towards the end, he blew the oil paint which hollered for help to aid the rest of his people. This decision lead to his death, which makes him a martyr. Roland is similar to the myths of Sundiata and Fisherman and the Jinnee because of their actions and decision making made them heroes in their respective myths. Each of these myths have a hero either protecting their loved ones, or saving their loved ones from danger. In Sundiata, the griot is illustrated as brave, due to his willingness to slay enemies left and right, while disregarding his own safety in battle, much like Rollanz. However, in the Fisherman and the Jinnee, the main fisherman does not use violence but instead he uses his genius intellect to take himself out of tough situations. This shows that these ... The demand and need for corn was massive, it was unlikely for the demand of corn to really diminish. It should and would be seen as morally questionable, to make corn a full commodity. In the modern society, corn may be not as much of a commodity as it was back then but there still plenty of goods and services that can be considered committed such as free healthcare, educations water, energy and so forth. Isaiah berlin s idea of positive liberty is the basis of this concept that essentially, the state needs to create a society where it is for an individual to rise and progress however certain industries are needed to ensure. Put in the simplest terms, one might say that a democratic society is a free society because it is a self determined society, and that a member of that society is free to the extent that he or she participates in its democratic process. But there are also individualist applications of the concept of positive freedom. For example, it is sometimes said that a government should aim actively to create the conditions necessary for individuals to be self sufficient or to achieve self realization . This lawsuit became one of the most famous in the US history because after the court s awarded Stella Liebeck $2.9 million, after she was severely burned by the coffee she brought from McDonald, there were debates over tort reform in the US. Stella Liebeck, a 79 year old woman was in the passenger seat of her grandson s car, while she ordered a coffee from McDonald s. The decision of the jury was based on the principles of comparative negligence. McDonald s was found guilty and responsible 80% for the coffee burn. Liebeck was found responsible 20% for the occurrence of the incident. Though there was a warning on the coffee cup, the jury decided that the warning was not large enough nor sufficient. They awarded Liebeck $200,000 in compensatory damages, which was reduced to $160,000, and an additional $2.7 million in punitive damages, which was reduced to $480,000. The decision was appealed by both McDonald s and Liebeck, and both parties settled out of court for an undisclosed amount less than $600,000. This lawsuit had impact on both the business world and the rules of the law. McDonald s was forced to reexamine its policy. McDonald s was aware of the risk and hazard, but undertook nothing to mitigate or reduce the risk of injury. It was started to accept by the people when the British first came to India after the incorporation of the East India Company in 1600, and gained roots especially by the educational policies of a Governor general Lord Macaulay. The growth of English in India is well explained by Timothy J. It withheld the smooth progress of English in India. Then Lord Macaulay was appointed as the president of the committee in 1834. His main contention was that the study of English could be beneficial to those Indians who were pursuing higher studies than Arabic and Sanskrit. • 20. Pine Wilt Essay Pine wilt is a disease of pine trees caused by Pinewood nematodes, a microscopic roundworm. Though all species of pines found east of the Rocky Mountains in the United States are hosts, Pinewood nematode is most commonly found on Scotch pine. Native pine tree species are resistant, with the nematodes being more of a problem on introduced species of pines. Most often the first sign of pine wilt is the sudden decline and death of an entire pine tree, usually from the warmest part of the summer through the fall. The dead tree could retain its needles for as long as one year. Because the dead wood is dry it becomes very brittle. Pinewood nematode is transmitted from tree to tree by pine sawyer beetles which overwinter as larvae in dead pines or pine logs which still have the bark attached. After pupating, the adult pine sawyer beetles, carrying nematodes in their tracheae, fly to healthy host pine trees where the nematodes enter through feeding wounds. Pinewood nematodes migrate to resin canals where they feed and rapidly reproduce. The resin canal system is damaged and water movement in the tree is disrupted. Once the pine tree dies the nematodes continue to feed and reproduce on blue stain fungus which infects the tree. In summer, female pine sawyer beetles carry nematodes as they fly back to dead pine wood where they lay their eggs. Eggs ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The best they can offer is the much abused commerce clause and even that falls short given that refers to commerce between the states, not between neighbours and friends. This is a very important, but rarely discussed issue that goes to the central tenets of liberty. Our civil rights are based upon the control of private property. In fact one could argue that it s not even private property if it s under government edict. While some would like to cite the adage that possession is nine tenths of the law the reality is that ownership is vested in the entity that controls an item s storage, use and transference. If the government controls those parameters it is the true owner of that property with the people being it s temporary possessors. There are those desirous of control who want people to think that firearms as somehow different than other items of property, simply because those items are a constraint over governmental power. While lorries and other motorised vehicles can be deadly, they don t serve as a constraint on tyranny so they are no concern of the Left. • 24. Theoretical Importance Of Transportation IMPORTANCE OF TRANSPORTATION AND 3 THEORETICAL PERSPECTIVES Having outlined the current state of Nairobi s transportation system, this essay will now explain why public transportation is important and the theoretical debates that surround urban transportation. One characteristic that most cities have in common is that they have a system of transportation which allows residents to be mobile. These transportation services expand the lives of its residents by providing them a way to get opportunities for getting them from place to place which is especially important for those who do not have access to vehicles (EU EXTRA Project 2001:1) These services are used for a variety of different reasons, including but not limited to: shopping, commuting to work/school and for leisure (ibid). As a result, it is critical for the urban community to have a well managed transportation system because it allows people to move about their daily life in an efficient way. Neoliberal, Marxist and Postcolonial perspectives offer different views on what effective mass transportation services should look like and how they should be run. The World Bank (WB), a Neoliberal leaning institution, has been very supportive of public transportation developments and have promoted their sustainability because they believe that these systems help connect people to jobs, health services and education in addition to being a driving force for economic growth (World Bank 2017). One way that this book can be viewed as is the Last Stand being viewed as an account of a well known battle that encapsulates the treatment of Native Americans during the Indian Wars. The next option is that the Last Stand is a retelling story of a history that does not glorify the United States Army in the Indian Wars, but shows the hubris and reckless of the leaders and army. Finally, the Last Stand can be viewed as a double meaning, both the last stand for Custer and the Last Stand for the Sitting Bull and the Lakota Sioux. Many of these programs are on the brink of bankruptcy and have not done far enough to make it more affordable and assessable. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This approach would greatly benefit people that are already under some type of government healthcare because the government would find the best companies to work with in order to provide all types of care from a routine visit to hospice. These companies would then charge the government only for the services provided. This is where there is a big problem. Right now pricing for most of American health care comes from a small group of doctors called the Specialty Society Relative Value Scale Update Committee or RUC (Munro, 2013). This is problematic because this committee is deciding the prices rather than the actual cost of products. If this process was changed then people could use rationalization to determine that a government ran universal healthcare system would be in the best self interest. Healthcare Committee Committees are very important in improving and discussing ways to improve healthcare in America. There are many different types of committees that would be assembled, but the most important one would be one to replace the RUC.
