Li-Fi is an emerging wireless technology that uses visible light communication (VLC) to transmit data using light from LED bulbs. Li-Fi offers several advantages over traditional Wi-Fi such as significantly higher speeds up to 100 times faster than Wi-Fi, more secure transmission since light cannot pass through walls, and it avoids radio interference issues. However, Li-Fi also faces limitations since it requires line of sight transmission and cannot work outdoors or in direct sunlight like Wi-Fi can. Overall, Li-Fi shows promise as a supplement to Wi-Fi but more development is still needed to address its limitations.
