This document discusses life time testing, also known as highly accelerated life testing, which aims to accelerate product reliability during development. The testing subjects samples to various stresses, including thermal, mechanical, and other stresses, to identify weaknesses and determine safe operating limits in the shortest time possible. Common tests exposed products to conditions like low/high temperatures, temperature cycling, vibration, shock, and chemicals. The goal is to characterize equipment performance and reliability with only a small number of samples.
