Lesson 3: 123D Design Quick starts
In this lesson you will learn how to work in the 3D workspace by using the following ways:
● Load and save
● Pan, orbit and zoom
● View cube
● Selecting object
● Selecting element
Key vocabulary:-
● Pan: To move the view, up, down, left, or right
● Zoom: To bring a view into close-up
● Perspective: Seeing an object on a flat surface as it is seen by the eye, getting smaller as it
gets further away from the viewer
● Orthographic: Seeing a 3-dimensional object in 2 dimensions
● Tweak: Improve by making small changes

● Load and Save:
1) To load: go to the top left 123D design menu and CLICK open
2) To save: go to the top left 123D design menu and CLICK save

● View cube: You can look at the difference between a perspective view and orthographic
view. The view cube in the top right corner lets you choose the view as well as giving you
other viewing options.
● Selecting object: To select an object move your mouse over the object and click
● Selecting element: select the element of the object to modify or change (double click of that
elements)
