WORD DEFINITION
Perspective view Seeing an object on a flat surface as it is seen by the eye, getting smaller as it
gets further away from the viewer.
Orthographic
view
Seeing a 3- dimensional object in 2 dimensions
Value What something is worth
Dimension The space something occupies, height, width, length
Polygon A closed shape that has three or more, usually straight, line segments
Edge The outside limit of an object, area or surface
Face A flat surface of a geometric solid

Snap Connecting one surface to another
Interface A shared space across which two separate components of a computer
system exchange information
Menu A set of options presented to the user of a computer application to help the
user find information or do a function
Pan To move the view, up, down, left or right

meet in a point
Hemisphere Half of a sphere
Linear In a line
Angular Having angles. An angle is the space between two lines that start from the
same point- L,V
Volume The amount of 3-dimensional space an object occupies
Radius A straight line going from the centre of a circle or sphere to the edge of the
circle or sphere

Loft To combine 2D shapes to make a 3D shape
Axis A real or imaginary line about which a body, can rotate, a line about which
the object is the same on all sides
Perpendicular At an angle of 90 degrees to a line, surface or the ground
Chamfer Cut away to make a sloped edge
Octagon An eight-sided figure
Merge To combine objects into a new shape
