AIMS:
- to practice English ;
- to identify visual and/or musical concepts around us in various contexts ;
- to explain the effects of color and sound on human being;
- to use ICT to create a song.
OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the activity all students will be able to:
- practice English with vocabulary related to Physics;
- identifying different frequency for sounds and colors;
- create art products using ICT.

TIME: 45 minutes.
ORGANIZING THE CLASS: Time: 2’
- the teacher enters the classroom and greets the students;
- the teacher prepares the materials for the class;
PRODUCTION:
ACTIVITY 1: Time in nature Time: 8’
AIM: to identify different perspective of time
PROCEDURE: The teacher present the way in which time is perceived by different creatures. The
students interact with each other to discuss the differences they discovered
INTERACTION: student – student; student – teacher; teacher – student;
RESOURCES: computer, PowerPoint Presentation.
ACTIVITY 2: Making music Time: 10’
AIM: to use Audacity for changing the sound frequency
PROCEDURE: the students are asked to use Audacity in order to modify the frequency of sound.
They obtain the new music doe to the changes they make.
INTERACTION: student – student; student – teacher; teacher – student;
RESOURCES: Audacity
ACTIVITY 3: The effects of color on humans. Time: 10’
AIM: to explain the effects of color on humans ;
PROCEDURE : the students present their opinion on how they perceive colors. They resort to their
knowledge of Biology, Psychology and Social Sciences.
INTERACTION: student – student; student – teacher; teacher – student;
RESOURCES: the PowerPoint presentation
ACTIVITY 4: The poetry of time Time: 10’
AIM: to translate poetry
PROCEDURE: the students are given a famous Romanian poem about time. With the help of online
dictionaries they translate the poem in English.
INTERACTION: student – student; student – teacher; teacher – student;
RESOURCES: the Internet
EVALUATION: Time: 3’
PROCEDURE: the students present their work to each others ;
FEED BACK: the teacher evaluates the students’ performance in class, laying emphasis on the
most interesting points of view. Time: 2’

LESSON PLAN DATE: the 23th of February 2017 LEVEL: upper secondary UNIT: Time THEME: Time and frequency TEACHER: Cornelia Bădilă AIMS: - to practice English ; - to identify visual and/or musical concepts around us in various contexts ; - to explain the effects of color and sound on human being; - to use ICT to create a song. OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES: At the end of the activity all students will be able to: - practice English with vocabulary related to Physics; - identifying different frequency for sounds and colors; - create art products using ICT. TYPE OF LESSON: Communicative; TYPES OF INTERACTION: teacher – student student – student student – teacher SKILLS: reading speaking drawing listening TEACHING AIDS: the computer & the Internet flipchart worksheets TIME: 45 minutes. ORGANIZING THE CLASS: Time: 2’ - the teacher enters the classroom and greets the students; - the teacher prepares the materials for the class; PRODUCTION: ACTIVITY 1: Time in nature Time: 8’ AIM: to identify different perspective of time PROCEDURE: The teacher present the way in which time is perceived by different creatures. The students interact with each other to discuss the differences they discovered INTERACTION: student – student; student – teacher; teacher – student; RESOURCES: computer, PowerPoint Presentation. ACTIVITY 2: Making music Time: 10’ AIM: to use Audacity for changing the sound frequency PROCEDURE: the students are asked to use Audacity in order to modify the frequency of sound. They obtain the new music doe to the changes they make. INTERACTION: student – student; student – teacher; teacher – student; RESOURCES: Audacity
  • 2. ACTIVITY 3: The effects of color on humans. Time: 10’ AIM: to explain the effects of color on humans ; PROCEDURE : the students present their opinion on how they perceive colors. They resort to their knowledge of Biology, Psychology and Social Sciences. INTERACTION: student – student; student – teacher; teacher – student; RESOURCES: the PowerPoint presentation ACTIVITY 4: The poetry of time Time: 10’ AIM: to translate poetry PROCEDURE: the students are given a famous Romanian poem about time. With the help of online dictionaries they translate the poem in English. INTERACTION: student – student; student – teacher; teacher – student; RESOURCES: the Internet EVALUATION: Time: 3’ PROCEDURE: the students present their work to each others ; FEED BACK: the teacher evaluates the students’ performance in class, laying emphasis on the most interesting points of view.
