CURRIKULAR STATEMENT 
Through performing and observing activities , participating in group discussion , receiving 
teacher scaffolding and used Election Id card, Activity Card, Newspaper cuttings, Pictures of 
Election procedure ,pupils construct the concept Adult Franchise. 
CONTENT ANALYSIS 
FACTS: 
 1: The Elections are held in India on the basis of Universal Adult Franchise 
from Panchayath to Parliament. 
 2: To conduct an Independent and dispassionate Election, Election commission 
came to being as per the stipulation in the Indian constitution. 
 3: Apart from this, small groups of campaigners visit houses requesting votes 
for their candidates.
 4: The Election Commission also conducts campaigns through notifications in 
the media to make the people aware of the significance of franchise. 
 5: The whole Official system will vigilantly at the time of Election. 
 6: Any Indian citizen who has completed 18 years of age can exercise votes in 
Election regardless of his/her caste, creed, religion, race community, language 
and regions. 
 7: The people of a democratic country elect their own representatives directly. 
 8: Elections will be conducted every 5 years.

INTRODUCTION 
The teacher enters the class and greets the learners and they 
reciprocate and they establish a great rapport in the learners through an 
informal talk. After creating a mental readiness among the learners 
teacher asks some questions to some of them. Teacher gave necessary 
guidance to them. Then the teacher shows the news paper then ask; Do 
you remember the main story of all the newspapers on this particular 
day 
( time for guessing and expression) 
The teacher unfold the news paper, it was news relate to election.

work. The elections are held in India on the basis of universal adult
