1. LEARNING OBJECTIVES/EXPECTED OUTPUT: At the end of 30-minute session, at least
90% of the students are expected to:
a. define Computer;
b. determine clearly the positive and negative impacts that users experience when
working with computers; and
c. make a slogan that will promote the use of electronic resources in the library.

2. CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES (PROCEDURES) TIME ALLOTED: 25 mins.
a. Motivation/Prelection/Introduction
The teacher will call some students to give a recap on what happened last meeting.
By the use of the Think, Pair, Share method, the students will reflect on a quotation
that will be flashed on screen then they will get a partner and share their insights
about the quotation. The teacher will call 1-2 students to share on the big group.
The teacher will introduce the present topic on Computer.
b. Lesson Proper/Learning Activities (Experience, Reflection, Action)
The teacher will let the students imagine first the life before when there were no
computers. The teacher will call some students to share their reflection.
The teacher will ask the following questions:
1. What is computer?
2. What are the advantages and disadvantages that users experience when working
with computers?
3. What are the limitations of computers?
4. How do you find computers today? Is it a need or want?
5. How will computers contribute to the goal of the library which is to serve users
with the right information?
The teacher will distribute colored papers for the slogan making. The students will
make a slogan that will promote the use of technology in the library.

2. c. Synthesis/Closure
By the use of the ABC summarize method, the teacher will give a particular letter and
will call some students to share what they have learned from the discussion according
to the letter given. The teacher will have a final say that there is nothing wrong with
adapting to the changing world as long as we are aware of its benefits and at the same
time its consequences.
The teacher will give a quiz.
Instructions: Answer each question briefly. Limit your answer from 5-7 sentences.
1. Who/What is more powerful, human or computer? Why? (10 pts.)
2. Do you think it is possible that there will be more computers than human in the near
future? Why or why not? (10pts.)

A. Visit our library. Interview someone who is using E-resources located in the
Periodicals Section. Ask the following questions:
1. Are you a regular user of the E-resources?
2. How do you find E-resources? Is it useful or not?
3. What are your suggestions on how to make E-resources more appealing to
students?
B. What are the parts of computers? Give examples of each part.
