• Before the 1800s many things were produced
by hand.
• Now that was starting to change thanks to
machines.
• New sources of Power.
• Steam, replaced human and animal power

• Since the middle ages workers had a spinning
wheels that made thread, however, it could
only spin 1 thread at a time.
• 1764 the Spinning Jenny, a machine that
could spin several threads at once.
• The Loom to weave cloth in 1780 could
produce more cloth in a day
