➢ Video is a collection of bit-mapped still images (called frames) that are taken one after the other.
➢ When the file is played, these pictures are shown in quick succession to give the impression of a moving image.
➢ The number of frames is called the frame rate and this is measured in FPS (Frames per Second). The standard rate is 25 FPS.
➢Color plays a vital role in the design and everyday
life.
➢ It can draw your eye to an image.
➢ Sometimes it can trigger an emotional response.
It can even communicate something important
without using words at all.
Color is the light wavelengths that the human
the eye receives and processes from a reflected
source.

1. understand the terms function, domain, range, one-one function, inverse function and composition of functions
2. identify the range of a given function in simple cases, and find the
composition of two given functions
3. determine whether or not a given function is one-one, and find the inverse of a one-one function in simple cases
4. illustrate in graphical terms the relation between a one-one function and its inverse.

Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
8. Reducing image quality
An image file is made up of pixels.
The total number of pixels make up the image resolution(
Number of pixels by width x Number of pixels by height)
Reducing number of pixels and the number of bits required
to store each pixel color) will reduce file size.
9. Remove repetition
The 2 dimensional representation of this image is:
B R R
G G B
B B B
Repetition can be removed:
B R2
