This document provides guidance on avoiding plagiarism. It defines plagiarism and explains what needs to be credited or documented, including words, ideas, information from interviews, direct quotations, diagrams, and electronically available media from outside sources. 40. Remember, only about 10% or less of your paper should be direct quotes.
