Late Check out ?
 The process of departure of guest from the
hotel after the standard Check out time is
known as LATE CHECK OUT.
Late checkout process
 The guest has to inform the front desk prior about
the check out
 The front office may grant certain duration of time
without any charges.
 The hotel should be informed about reason for the
late check out.
Problems caused by Late check-
out
 If the hotel is having over booking then the arrival guest
will have to wait.
 The Executive housekeeper should be provided reason
for late check out.
 More work for the GRA’s during full occupancy.
Preventive for late checkout
 The front desk should call the guest and ask about the
check time day prior.
 Inform at the time of check in about the late check out
procedure.
Contd.
 In case of group the hotel can provide hospitality room
without any charges.
 Print the check put time at back of the key card
 The hotel can provide and hour or two depending on the
GRA’s status.
Contd.
 Add the check out charges to the guest folio.
 Request the guest to vacate room as per check put time
and keep language in language room with no extra cost.

  • 2. Late Check out ?  The process of departure of guest from the hotel after the standard Check out time is known as LATE CHECK OUT.
  • 3. Late checkout process  The guest has to inform the front desk prior about the check out  The front office may grant certain duration of time without any charges.  The hotel should be informed about reason for the late check out.
  • 4. Problems caused by Late check- out  If the hotel is having over booking then the arrival guest will have to wait.  The Executive housekeeper should be provided reason for late check out.  More work for the GRA’s during full occupancy.
  • 5. Preventive for late checkout  The front desk should call the guest and ask about the check time day prior.  Inform at the time of check in about the late check out procedure.
  • 6. Contd.  In case of group the hotel can provide hospitality room without any charges.  Print the check put time at back of the key card  The hotel can provide and hour or two depending on the GRA’s status.
  • 7. Contd.  Add the check out charges to the guest folio.  Request the guest to vacate room as per check put time and keep language in language room with no extra cost.
