5. The school was founded in 1970 with the
total count of 385 students and it first
was known as The Second Foreign
Language High School in Bulgaria. In 2004,
it is renamed to Yordan Radichkov Foreign
Language High School. The current
headmaster is Lyubomir Georgiev. Over the
past few years the school has kept the
consistent amount of over 500 students
filling the well-equipped classrooms.
9. Each year, the school
organizes the so-called
“Radichkov Days”- a week
full of celebrations,
competitions and school
trips to different sights in
the country. The best works
of the students who take
part in the
competiton(tales, poems,
essays) are awarded at the
end of the week.

The trips usually
include a trip to
Berkovitsa (The
Travelling Classroom)
for the 8th grade
students and to
Belogradchik rocks for
the upper grades (9th
grade and up).

play in English that
is performed in
front of all of the

highest scores in Vidin,
the high school is also a place where
students can show their talents. The
school provides the stage of the
theatre in Vidin at least once a year
to students that are good at singing,
dancing, playing the instruments,
acting, writing and all other aspects
of art. Every year, the school hosts a
Christmas concert where students
perform all kinds of acts- singing,
dancing, acting
18. With students competing in almost any competition possible, the school is a proud owner of one of
the biggest collection of trophies in town. All kinds of trophies are won annually. Students participate
in all kinds of competitions- Math, English, Bulgarian, Science, even History. Having been prepared by
some of the best teachers in town, it is no surprise the school has so many students that wish to bring
the name of the school throughout the country.
