Beginning of the school year
On 1 st   September 2009 we cerebrated the beginning of the new school year 2009/2010. Teachers and pupils prepared the ceremony. A school choir  sang nice songs. Our headmaster greeted us and he reminded us about the safety guidelines during lessons and breaks. The prepared show was very interesting. Selection of the student government . Elections for the student government were held in our school. Pupils chose the chairman of the Lower- Secondary School and the chairman of Primary School. They shared the work and they learnt about their duties. The student government must plan and perform all tasks, actions, campaingns  and activities throuhout the school year. Exchange Poland- Spain
Exchange Poland- Spain In days from 5 th   - 15 th   September 22 pupils and 3 teachers from Spain came to Poland. Pupils from Spain were accommodated at homes of pupils of our school. The exchange was the result of Comenius project titled 'Taste for travel'. The project  aims at improving English by students and teachers as well as motivating young people to carry on creative activities. Pupils got to know the culture, customs, tradition, history and religion of the coutry of the partner school. Pupils from Spain, while staying in Poland, visited a lot of wonderful places. They got to know our surroundings, monuments, tradition.  They visited Cracow, Oświęcim, Zakopane, Wieliczka, Czestochowa and Tarnowskie Gory. They saw beautiful ruins of old castles in the Cracow-Czestochowa Upland, too. Our school organized ‘ Polish evening ’. There were Polish dishes, music, dances there. It was a very nice evening. In the end pupils and teachers went to the Mayor of the City. They got souvenirs there. Then, they went to the airport. Exchange Poland- Spain
Cleaning the World action
'Cleaning the World' ACTION Every year in our surroundings an action of cleaning the world is organised. Pupils cleared areas near and away from our school. They collected loads of rubbish. Forests, meadows and fields are now cleaner. Our school wants the nature to be beautiful.
'Prazonki z profilaktyka' is a special preventive campaign organized every year. Students from our school participated in the campaign in Zawiercie. We competed with teams from other schools in different sports contests. Our school has won twice. After the contests, we played team games and ate Polish dish called 'prazonki' (it's a kind of potatoes made on the fire). We had a great fun. Then, we got awards for participation. Boy's Day Every year at our school, we celebrate the Boy's Day. Girls buy gifts for boys at that day. This year, each boy got an apple with best wishes. By the gifts, we wanted students to encourage to eat fruit. The boys were surprised by this idea, but they were happy.

Teacher's Day Students from our school prepared a show for teachers. This presentation was very  interesting and funny. Students learnt poems and sketches. Student Government prepared a sweet surprise for each teacher. During the ceremony a dancing group from our school danced a great dance. The presentation was very successful and the teachers were happy with the surprises.
New pupils On 16 th  October an important event was held in our school. Our little pupils were officially made studetns of our school. They were preparing for this event. Our headmaster and the Mayor if the City  participated in the event. All the guests could see that the students were able to solve small puzzles, count and sing. After the ceremony, the headmaster handed in some gifts for the students.

Independence Day On 11 th   November , we celebrate the Independence to commemorate  regaining independence of our country. Students from our school prepared the ceremony. We mentioned the defenders of our nation. This is a very important holiday for the Poles, because now we live in a free country.

Convention on the Rights of a Child
Convention on the Rights of a Child In November we celebrated the twentieth anniversary of the adoption of the Convention on the Rights of a Child by the United Nations General Assembly. Students and teachers prepared a performance on the rights of a child and every human being. They wanted to point out that everyone has the right to live and express their own opinions. It is important for students, because we know we have rights and responsibilities.
Feast of St. Andrew At our school we had a disco. Students could buy a fortune-telling lot and talk to the a fairy. We could sing, dance and play. This was a very nice event, because we all had a great fun. A big attraction was also the fortune cookies. We could buy a cake and read omens for the future.

Keep Fit Campaign Young people of our school takes the active part in a preventive campaign 'Keep fit'. It is also our second eTwinning project. On 2nd Decembeer 2009 pupils participated in the contest concerning healthy lifestyle for all the  schools from our region. Pupils were expected to take wise decisions concerning different tasks. Representatives of the Student Government under the care of teachers, gave leaflets to employees of shops about harmful impact of alcohol, particularly at young age. Pupils also wished 'Merry Christmas' for salesmen.
 
On 4 th  December a special Santa Claus came to our school. He gave gifts to children. Most students were happy, because they love this holiday. Students from the school also gave gifts to one another. Everyone is waiting for a surprise from Santa Claus... Stanta Claus

Christmas. Before Christmas break the Student Government gave presents to all school staff: for teachers, cleaners and cooks. Of course, there was a special Christmas show, too. A school choir sang Christmas carols. The dance group danced a dance. Everyone liked the show, it was very energetic and interesting. Every class organised the Christmas Eve at classrooms. Students told best wishes to each ther, share a wafer and ate various dishes. Merry Christams and a Happy New Year for everyone! Christmas
A competition for the Christmas crib In our school, the priest held a contest for the Christmas crib. Students had to prepare own cribs. A jury assessed each crib by giving points. The winners were honoured during Christmas ceremony. Everyone received a prize.
