31. Inspired by successful former experience association
“Child’s Friend” the children from our Kindergarten decided
to celebrate Spring Day and the Day of Europe with a colorful
international exhibition of children’s drawings. Many
children and teachers from all over Europe posted, or e-mailed
their work of art.
We made nice frames for each painting and decorated the hall
of the European Information Centre for the grand opening.
That is how it looked on
8 May, ready to
welcome dear guests.
31
32. After viewing the exhibition, the guests enjoyed a lively concert performance presented by the
children from Kindergarten “Child’s Friend”.
32
33. Then the guests had another chance to
enjoy the beauty of the drawings and share
with the children the contents of the
recreation tables. There were some cakes,
biscuits and sweets and of course lots of
water and fruit juices. Just as appropriate
for young children.
33
34. The children were very happy receiving lovely sun hats and big balls with the
European symbols printed on them.
Then we gave the floor to Mr. Marin, who was very touched by all the beauty around
and the artistic performance of the children.

Here you can see our parents at
work. They were very creative and
made beautiful post cards and
Christmas decorations for the
kindergarten.
At the same time the children
worked in another room, drawing
miniature pictures for another type
of aplicated post cards.

ангелчета, които летят из стаите,
разперили прозрачните си криле
Teachers and children made
these gentle flying angels
together and hanged them all
over the rooms.

80. Но тъй като няма истинска
Коледа без дарове от
сърце, всички се заехме
да направим подаръците
за нашите приятели
We made lot’s of
presents for friends
and dear guests.

Every class has his own tree (plastic or natural). We
also decorate pine tree branches and hang them among
other decorations on the walls. We hang Christmas
balls, lights and garlands on the tree. At the top we put
a peak, or a star.
We also hang lots of small toys made by ourselves.
We also hang lots of small toys made by
ourselves.
In school parents bring the presents secretly on
the day of the celebration. They give them to the
teachers, who hide them in a big bag, which later
is handed to Father Christmas, to distribute among
the children, according to the labels put by the
parents, The teachers add a bag with sweets,
chocolates and small surprises for every child.
93
95. The school festivity is also almost a
family gathering. Usually both parents /
often accompanied by grand parents and
other relatives/ attend the concert show
which the children perform, with singing,
dancing and role-playing. Children,
parents and teachers meet together
Father Christmas, who gives each one a
present. The parents participate in our
feast, and all share some special sweets
and other treats.
Children make the first Christmas cards for Father Christmas, in which they write their wish for
a present. Teachers send the messages to Father Christmas. He usually satisfies all
95
reasonable wishes.
101. We had many guests, but most of all we enjoyed the company of our older
friends from SOS kinderdorf - the Dren village.
Father Christmas gave each of us a present, and we gave our new friends our
101
self made gfts.
102. We didn’t just sit and wait for Father Christmas and the presents.
We performed an exciting Christmas show.
The girls played snowflakes and the boys – Christmas elves.
Our teachers were all dressed like winter fairies.
102
104. Father Christmas came, assisted by Mrs. Platikanova, our Christmas Fairy. Then we
performed the Bulgarian Christmas ritual “Survakane”.
