This document discusses an experiment to drop a tennis ball placed on top of a basketball. It is hypothesized that both balls will hit the ground at the same time. However, when they are dropped, the kinetic energy from the basketball is transferred to the tennis ball, causing it to bounce much higher into the air. The experiment demonstrates that energy can be transferred between objects and is not lost, only changed into different forms.
Work is done if the object you push changes it direction towards which you are pushing it.
No work is done if the force you exert does not make the object move.

This is a presentation by Dada Robert in a Your Skill Boost masterclass organised by the Excellence Foundation for South Sudan (EFSS) on Saturday, the 25th and Sunday, the 26th of May 2024.
He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements. He defined quality as doing the right thing at the right time in the right way to achieve the best possible results and discussed the concept of the "gap" between what we know and what we do, and how this gap represents the areas we need to improve. He explained the scientific approach to quality improvement, which involves systematic performance analysis, testing and learning, and implementing change ideas. He also highlighted the importance of client focus and a team approach to quality improvement.
The Art Pastor's Guide to Sabbath | Steve ThomasonSteve Thomason
What is the purpose of the Sabbath Law in the Torah. It is interesting to compare how the context of the law shifts from Exodus to Deuteronomy. Who gets to rest, and why?
The Indian economy is classified into different sectors to simplify the analysis and understanding of economic activities. For Class 10, it's essential to grasp the sectors of the Indian economy, understand their characteristics, and recognize their importance. This guide will provide detailed notes on the Sectors of the Indian Economy Class 10, using specific long-tail keywords to enhance comprehension.

2. Kinetic Energy and Potential Energy
• Kinetic Energy is the energy of motion. An
object that has motion-whether it is vertical or
horizontal motion-has kinetic energy.
• Potential Energy: An object can store energy
as the result of its position.
3. Hypothesis
• What happens to the two balls (basket ball
and tennis ball) when they are dropped on the
ground with a tennis ball on top of the basket
ball?
• May be both will fall to the ground at the
same time.
• The experiment is conducted to see what
happens when the two balls are dropped.
4. Experiment
• Carefully put the tennis ball on top of the
basket ball, holding one hand under the
basket ball and the other on top of the tennis
ball.
• Let go both the balls at the same time and
observe what happens.
5. This is what will happen
• When we drop the balls at the same time, the tennis
ball should bounce off the basket ball and fly high
into the air. The two balls hit each other just after
they hit the ground, a lot of kinetic energy from the
big ball is transferred through to the smaller tennis
ball, sending it high into the air.
• While you held the balls in the air before dropping
them they had another type of energy called
potential energy, the balls gained this through the
effort it took you lift the balls up, it is interesting to
note that energy is never lost, only transferred into
other kinds of energy.
6. Conclusion
Tennis ball and basket ball will not just fall on
the ground. Instead the small ball goes high up
in the air. This shows that energy is transferred
between objects.
