Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, IN
Network Security Division Officer- Led 5 network engineers on the Host Based Security System (HBSS). The
HBSS is a Department of Defense system that monitors, detects, and defends computer networks & systems. The
HBSS at Crane supported 5 networks and 4,300 users.
Directed Security and Vulnerability patching via Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Security Technical
Implementation Guides.
Monitored the System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) alerts & tasked appropriate administrator to correct
the fault.
Supervised and assigned trouble tickets via help desk support and SharePoint tasking to 35 windows network
administrators on five Windows 2008 (R2) networks and the completion of over 14,000 trouble tickets.
Configured 13 Cisco Switches using PuTTY during a network upgrade.
Oversaw upgrade of 163 workstations/laptops from Windows 7 to Windows 10 operating systems.
Subject matter expert on DOD policies and procedures. Audited, reviewed, and changed 17 Standard Operating
Procedures for the Information Technology Systems Department.
Designed and implemented a classified media destruction process that destroyed 5,176 hard drives and 4,305
magnetic media backup tapes.

Information Systems Security Officer- Applied Domain Name System (DNS) Black hole list to the Access
Control Lists (ACL) of 2 routers (unclassified and classified). Audited routers, switches, and applicable laptops using
the RETINA Vulnerability Scanner Utility.
Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA ) Coordinator- coordinated end to end network connectivity for 120
locations to a telecommunications substation.
Lead Network Administrator- Configured the network interface for Afloat Units at Naval Station Mayport, FL to
telecommunications substation via OC3 trunk to Cisco Routers. Administered in house networks using Windows
Server 2003 Active Directory. Maintained user agreement forms, created new user accounts, oversaw shared file
permissions, and completed trouble tickets to 45 personnel to include: network printing, network connectivity,
VOIP’s, .ost’s (.pst’s), and hardware issues.
Work Center Supervisor- Coordinated the maintenance of 150 line items to include 2 switches, 2 routers, 120
outlying customers, & 12 Naval Ships during night and weekend hours to ensure minimum customer interference
of service.
Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Manager- Tracked, disseminated, and audited electricalappliances
with classified material.
July 2007 – August 2010
Naval Air Station Brunswick, ME & Naval Air Station JAX, Jacksonville, FL Special Projects Patrol Squadron One
Information Assurance Manager/ChiefNetwork Administrator-
Managed the move of 243 workstations & laptops from Brunswick Maine to Jacksonville, FL. Moved over 800 user
accounts from different Active Directory Operational Unit to another with zero discrepancies and 80 GB of data
from one shared network to another. Ensured the new network was operational by documenting the Interim
Authority to Operate (IATO) was in place while the Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance was being approved.
The process took 18 months from start to completion.
Submitted the paperwork and auditing to certify a Top Secret (TS) Secret Compartmentalized Information Facility
(SCIF) to analyze intelligencedata.
Created a Top Secret Network that used the existing secret network as a trunk. The process had never been done
before and the lessons learned was used to create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for deployed units.

Dam Neck, VA Naval School
Advanced Network Analyst (ANA) 2781- Administers, maintains, and repairs Navy networks systems. Performs
Routine and Emergent System Administrator Duties, Enterprise-Level Fault Identification, system level fault
analysis, fault isolation, and repair in support of the entire shipboard network infrastructure. Administers and
maintains all currently fielded Navy networking systems. Responsible for management and maintenance of network
switches, routers, servers and computer work stations. Manages network operating systems within Navy networking
systems and services such as Chat and network security. Maintains network service capabilities (i.e. Wireless devices,
Voice Over IP (VOIP), Video Teleconferencing (VTC) Video Distribution systems (VDS), associated cabling, fiber
optics, throughput, connectivity, I/O devices, and topologies). Possesses thorough knowledge of currently fielded
Navy networking systems, technology and trends. Performs network management and maintenance functions
including inventory control of computer assets, software and configuration management, user training, and help
desk management.

The HBSS is a Department of Defense system that monitors, detects, and defends computer networks & systems. The HBSS at Crane supported 5 networks and 4,300 users. Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) Manager- Tracked, disseminated, and audited electricalappliances with classified material. July 2007 – August 2010 Naval Air Station Brunswick, ME & Naval Air Station JAX, Jacksonville, FL Special Projects Patrol Squadron One Information Assurance Manager/ChiefNetwork Administrator- Managed the move of 243 workstations & laptops from Brunswick Maine to Jacksonville, FL. Moved over 800 user accounts from different Active Directory Operational Unit to another with zero discrepancies and 80 GB of data from one shared network to another. Ensured the new network was operational by documenting the Interim Authority to Operate (IATO) was in place while the Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance was being approved. The process took 18 months from start to completion. Submitted the paperwork and auditing to certify a Top Secret (TS) Secret Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF) to analyze intelligencedata. Created a Top Secret Network that used the existing secret network as a trunk. The process had never been done before and the lessons learned was used to create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for deployed units. April 2007 – June 2007 Dam Neck, VA Naval School Advanced Network Analyst (ANA) 2781- Administers, maintains, and repairs Navy networks systems. Performs Routine and Emergent System Administrator Duties, Enterprise-Level Fault Identification, system level fault analysis, fault isolation, and repair in support of the entire shipboard network infrastructure.
