•Direct, develops, implements, maintains, and reports on security projects designed to strengthen
security infrastructure, meet regulatory, and compliance requirements. Partners with business
units and Information Technology departments to implement practices that meet the Department
of Defense’s risk management controls.
•Provide guidance of vulnerability remediation to the technology subject matter experts and

Manage the Information Assurance of software/hardware packages used by client. Insured that
required Information Security is maintained during the inception, development and sustainment
of Platforms fielded by the client and that acquired systems meet Information Security standards
as stated in client regulatory requirements. Used current Defense Information Systems Agency
(DISA) Regulations (DOD 8510.1 and SP 800-137).
6/2014 – 7/2014 System Administrator; Naval Hospital Pensacola Florida
System Administrator for the Tri-Service Inpatient Management Network. Created Local Forms
Instituted Changes to System Level Forms, Managed group membership, for new personnel.
Planned the upgrade process of the Fetal Monitoring System on the OB/GYN ward prior to
leaving position. Planning resulted in Vendor comment that “This was the best upgrade to date.”
Instituted a daily client interface which is now considered a “Best Practice”

9/2012 –6/2014, Program Manager, Flairsoft Federal.
Supervise 14 Personnel in the performance of contract to support the hosting of 400+
Windows/Linux Servers and 800+ Databases for a United States Air Force Network. Design and
implement storage, backup and disaster recovery protocols. Support to over 20,000 local users
and external access to the public as needed. Monitor/Manage all security patching and assist in
the investigation of security incidences. Maintain operational integrity of critical applications on
a 24/7 basis. Designed and validated the procedures to be utilized in the assurance of information
processed and stored by the 78 ABW/SC Hosting Services Flight. Developed procedures to
implement, track and verify the ongoing required documentation of Information Security training
for the Warner Robins Air Logistics Center (WRALC), associated and assigned units for the
DISA CCRI Information Security Assessment. Used the Defense Information Systems Agency
(DISA) provided software, SCAP and VM, to evaluate the servers. Managed all efforts to
remediate the findings identified in the scans. Designed and implemented a program to revamp
and manage security levels of access for all personnel assigned to the WRALC. Designed and
implemented a program to provide training and review of all DOD/DISA/USAF Information
Assurance and Network Management Guidance. Managed interface and coordination of Network
Consolidation efforts as both Technical Lead and Program Manager. Instrumental in the
investigation of breaks in service and security violations as related to SC staff and end users, to
include establishing and implementing remediation procedures. Briefed executive management
regarding scheduled and unscheduled changes to Server configuration. Prepare inputs to
Portfolio Manager for acquisition and implementation of changes to the Network to include
upgrades and total replacement of network assets. Conduct cost analysis of programmed
upgrades, integration and replacement. Managed the preparation of a section of 30 personnel
during the run-up to the DISA Computer Security Inspection for The Hosting Services Division
of the 78th ABW/SC and the United States Air Force. Management of this program included
creating and maintaining the metrics needed to monitor the progress of the project and the
increase of resources when required in order to meet the deadline set by the government COR
and government PM. Mr. Thompson was instrumental in then compiling these metrics and
personnel experience to formulate and publish the guide used to prepare tenant units for this
inspections as well. Received reports from all supervised personnel, the help desk ticketing,
servers, and database systems that he then compiled for monthly submission to ensure that the
time requirements on the contract were met by the team. It was Mr. Thompson’s responsibility
to ensure the present and upcoming work load was distributed to personnel in such a way to meet
contractual requirements as well as AF policies on the current workload as well as new
requirements. Maintained 99% uptime due to the success of his team to perform their in
proactive and reactive support of systems

Manage 175 desktop systems and 3 Servers by insuring virus protection and physical
maintenance as needed. Install security patches as required. Provided required inputs for the
replacement of systems and the acquisition of software upgrades to maintain currency of
network. Performed trouble shooting of non-operating systems and performing needed physical
repair/replacement. Provided end-user support and training.
Management History
1994 Managed program to implement the Standup Network for the 93 Aircraft Control Wing at
Robins AFB. This included managing the re-training of more than 100 personnel who were
being sent from various skills in the 5th Communications Squadron. Mr. Thompson was also was
responsible for monitoring spending of the set budget in order to ensure all sourcing, purchasing,
and planning for timely implementation of new equipment and removal of outdated equipment
for an active wing which was standing up its home base while performing real world missions
were accomplished along with supervising the installation and assuring all requirements were
met. He also coordinated with higher headquarters and supported command personnel for the
deployment of full service networks to provide real-time support for deployed forces to two
locations.
1977-1979 Managed 30+ personnel in the coordination and execution of Air Evacuation program
for personnel assigned to the USAF Pacific Air Forces and Western Pacific Military installation
and naval activities from Clark Air Base (AB) Philippines to include Korea, Japan, and Diego
Garcia (Indian Ocean) at 19th Aeromedical Staging Facility Regional Medical Facility, Clark
AB, Philippines. This management included maintaining reports and performing evaluations
needed to ensure additional resources were available during high volume evacuations and
reporting to the hospital Commander any shortfalls in resources in order to make the required
changes to correct lack of resource availability when necessary.
1976-1977 Managed the Patient Administration section of 30+ personnel in the maintenance of
outpatient and inpatient records, air evacuation coordination of inpatient and outpatient personnel
at USAF Hospital Luke AFB, AZ. This included maintaining all of the metrics needed to
properly manage the budget for the year as well as preparing the required documentation to
increase the budget for the following year for the continued safe evacuation of military patients
and military family member patients as required.
1974-1975 Supervised 10 personnel in the administrative management of all clinical operations
for a forward deployed fixed medical facility in support of military air operations at USAF
Hospital, Kunsan AB, Korea.
1972-1973 Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge - Outpatient Record Section USAF
Hospital Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico
Supervised team of 10 personnel in the management of Outpatient Medical Records for assigned
personnel and dependent. This included the filing of previous day’s laboratory and X-ray reports
and the assembling of scheduled appointment documentation for 18 primary care physicians.
1974-1975 Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge – Patient Administration/Outpatient
Record Section USAF Hospital, Kunsan AB, Korea
Supervised 10 Personnel in the administrative management of all clinical operation for a forward
deployed fixed medical facility in support of military air operations. This included the
management of health records, air evacuation, and medical board preparations coordination of
deployment activities for 3000 assigned personnel.

Clark AFB, Philippines.
Supervised 30 personnel in the coordination and execution of all Air Evacuation activities for
personnel assign to the USAF Pacific Air Forces and Western Pacific Military installation and
naval activities from Clark AB Philippines to include Korea, Japan, Diego Garcia (Indian
Ocean). Responsible for support of medical emergency transportation and treatment as directed
by higher headquarters.
1980- 1983 Superintendent Medical Resource Management Regional Medical Center Clark
AB Philippines.
Managed a staff of 45 military and civilian personnel in the resource management of a 1900 bed
Regional Military Medical Facility. Functions included all budgeting activities (10M) for this
facility. Activities of this office included Compliance Assurance with accepted and directed
hospital practices and the establishment of a new office charge with establishing new networking
capabilities at the very beginnings of USAF Medical Networking Operation.
2011-2013 Program Manager Flairsoft Federal.
Managed 14 personnel on the Hosting Services Support Contract for Robins AFB. This was a
diverse team of Server Administrators and Database Administrator in support of more than
15,000 users. Also managed the activities of the total complement of Hosting Services personnel
(25) as an Information Systems Security Officer during a major compliance inspection.
