PROFESSIONAL IT EXPERIENCE

Serve on the Various Domain Administration teams as the Active Directory System Administrator in the
Continental United States (CONUS) Active Directory (AD) forest. Maintain key infrastructure services
including the Public Key Infrastructure, AD Domain Site Topology, IPSec, and DNS architecture with a
focus on performance, continuity of operations, and contingency planning. Perform analysis of Active
Directory Domain technology implementation plans as requested by management to include impact on
current systems, security and risk, as well as interoperability based on current architecture. Ensure all
systems meet Department of Defense Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process
(DIACAP) standards. Evaluate system security measures as part of a Defense in Depth strategy in
accordance with Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation
Guidelines (STIG). Provide technical guidance, leadership, and advanced troubleshooting support for
domain customers charged with the daily maintenance of the upwards to 10,000 Domain users as part of
the Continental United States (CONUS) Active Directory (AD) forest. Evaluate TCP/IP port and
protocol requirements supporting Active Directory operations on the NIPRNET supplying configuration
information for Firewall Rule Sets and Router Access Control Lists. Serve as technical lead for security
planning and design of IPSec transport and server isolation policies used across the Continental United
States (CONUS) to secure network traffic and systems. Produce/Review change control documentation
for configuration management. Serve as a member of the documentation review board for process
controls. Ensure internal policies and procedures comply with and support guidance in Army Regulation
25-2, DoD 8500.1, DoD 8500.2 and DoD 8570.1in order to achieve the Department of Defense goals of
information assurance through defense in depth. Provide local repair support for various server builds.

Achievements:
Configuration Management: Implemented an ITIL based configuration management structure
for Windows 2003/ Windows 2008/ Windows 2008R2 servers, later adopted by the Continental
United States (CONUS) Theater Network Operations and Security Center (C-TNOSC).
System Security: Participate in the certification and validation process for the Continental
United States (CONUS) Active Directory Forest as an expert on security configuration
settings. Support the implementation of access control mechanisms such as ASCL (Alternate
Smart Card Logon) for all systems administrators.
IPSec Policy Design: Implemented and assisted in the development of effective methodologies
for managing one of the largest stable IPSec implementations in the world. Microsoft advised
that what we achieved stretched the limits of the technology.

Implemented and maintained the Windows 2003 Enterprise Active Directory single forest design for the
U.S. Army. Implemented and maintained regional and installation domain models. Implemented and
maintained Active Directory test cases. Group Policy Objects to enforce enterprise standards. Installed
and configured Storage Area Networks. Installed and configured DHCP servers and Virtual Private
Network servers. Created sites and site topologies, configured and scheduled replication. Troubleshot

These duties included the use of various computer application to facilitate the distribution and
reconsignment of contracted services. Also the computer applications were used to determine the
domestic and international rate solicitations to determine pricing and vendor availability.

Tasked with maintaining and repairing US Army Voice Telephone communication systems to include
Digital/Analog Microwave Radio systems, Tech Control Circuits (CCSD’s) and circuit conditioning

associated activities with the operation of communication site. These duties did include all process
associated with logistics part maintenance and procurement, along with all logistic accounting records
maintained to the standard required by the US Army. Also security requirements such as secure
document maintenance and destruction, Vehicle and weapons maintenance including actual physical
maintenance, maintenance records, and dispatching. Development, execution, and recording of
training programs mandated by the US Army or local command authority.
