Even to this day, many have failed to replicate what has been known to be the most
successful superhero trilogy of all time. With awards totaling south of over seventy
total wins and over 100 nominations, the Dark Knight Rises remains to be everything
a film needs to be to always remain a timeless classic. The method the team used to
overwhelm the world with this immaculate trilogy was to create the last installment

Have you ever read about two characters that have so many things in common? Well,
in The Scarlet Ibis , the main character William Armstrong shares many similarities
with the beautiful red bird that is found limp in a tree outside of the family s house.
Early in the book, we find out that the main character, known as Doodle, had many
complications at birth, which lead to the severe health problems he now has to face
throughout his childhood. These problems were the reasons why Doodle was not
normal like the kids around him. Walking, swimming, running, and playing outside
were all things that Doodle had trouble partaking in. We are introduced to the Scarlet
Ibisin the middle of the book in a depressing, yet beautiful way. When we meet the
bird, it is lying in a tree, weak and frail. Quickly, we find a similarity that the two
characters share. Doodle and the Ibis both have something pushing them until they
die. For instance, Doodles brother was non stop pushing him to be better and
better each day. He collapsed onto the grass like a half empty flour sack. It was as
if he had no bones in his little legs. Don t hurt me, Brother, he warned (Hurst 467).
As you can see, Doodle is forced daily to try to stand on his own, in the field near
their house, which is not healthy for him. Knowing that Doodle has internal
problems, you would have thought that his brother would not have pushed him so
hard. Why would his brother be pushing him when he has so many problems, you

The 1951 Waterfront Dispute was the biggest and most prevalent industrial dispute
New Zealand had ever seen. Waterfront workers were unhappy with their working
conditions and wages due to the current financial hardships, so up to twenty thousand
of them went on strike to oppose these circumstances. It lasted a total of 151 days,
from 13th February to 15th July 1951 (Ministry for Culture, 2014), and many
different people took action in hopes of driving change. They all faced various
challenges throughout the strike, and in the end of the dispute, what resulted were
numerous short and long termeffects for the workers and the people of New Zealand.
The most obvious and significant cause of the waterfront dispute was due to the
economic situation following the war. The cost of living was increasing after
years of scarcities and restrictions, so the workers began demanding higher wages
in order to survive (Te Ara, 2012). In January 1951, the Arbitration Court increased
wages by 15% for those workers who were under the industrial arbitration system.
Unfortunately, this did not work for the wharf workers as they were employed by
the Waterfront Industry Commission, so instead they were only offered a 9%
increase (Coutts Fitness, 2013). The Commission claimed that waterfront wage
increases in the past should be taken into account (Ministry for Culture, 2014). The
refusal to increase wages fairly sent a significant chain of events into progress as
people began to protest.

temperature. Simultaneously, a FM AFM transition accompanied by a crystal
transition from cubic to tetragonal was observed and moves to low temperature with
increasing Gd content. With x in the range from 0.17 to 0.19, a typical magnetization
step characteristic was observed at 50 K owing to the magnetic phase separation.
