OVEN/ MAINTENANCE INSPECTOR
Currently assigned to the position of Oven / Maintenance Inspector. Responsibilities
include mechanical inspection of all of Sun Coke Energy’s coke making facilities.
Position is responsible for reporting to lead management and plant personnel,
maintenance corrective actions and data collection entered into the corporate’s
maintenance data base.
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
Assigned to Indiana Harbor Operations for a period of nine months to assist in the
facilitation and refurbishment of the 267 ovens. Duties included development and
facilitating cleaning and welding crews to coincide with the rehabilitation program that
was currently underway. Promoted to the role of Lead Construction Manager to facilitate
the construction and commissioning of Sun Coke’s CD Project at Haverhill Operations.
Responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating all Contractor’s work activity and
work permits in the filed as well as constructability, field inspection to insure cost and
quality assurance. Project completed ahead of schedule and budget.
PRODUCTION – MAINTENANCE CORDIATOR / CONTRACTOR

Accountable for maintenance process flow for the facility utilizing the Maximo
maintenance system. Responsibilities include reviewing and managing the work flow
process from work order request to jobs being completed within the system. Insure that
jobs are prioritized in such a way to meet regulatory requirements and to maintain the
reliability and operation of the plant. Routinely reviewing the status of current spending

reliability driven improvements. As Contractor Administrator, these responsibilities
include overseeing all contractor activity as well as safety performance within the facility.

gas desulphurization unit). Administrative duties include: Safety contacts/observations
daily and monthly reports, charts, graphs, scheduling of employee’s work and vacations,
physicals and payroll. Responsible for operation, maintenance and reporting to state of
Ohio Regulatory Enforcement for High Pressurized Vessels Operation Code
Enforcement.
Schedule maintenance / operation of a single cyclone wet scrubber system for controlling
SO2 (sulfur dioxide) waste flue gas emissions. Responsible for high pressure steam
distribution to local customer.
Major Accomplishments:
* One of four on-site company consultants during construction of facility. Reported to
project manager on all refractory phases of construction, waste heat recovery boiler
construction, coal and coke handling system.
* Member of the start-up and commissioning team to bring facility on line.

they had on wall movement and Battery life. Results were published in the A. I. S. I.
Journal.
