Responsibilities
Responsible for operation of the shop as well as programming and running a CNC lathe,
sharpening cutting tools and repair and maintenance of machines, shop equipment and electric.
Accomplishments
Attended a class on programming and operating newer machines and have become proficient at
programming, setting up and running the CNC Lathe. At my recommendation, we installed new
energy efficient fluorescent lighting as well as a new rotary screw compressor.

Responsibilities
I was primarily responsible for maintaining the tool crib and sharpening milling cutters. I also
designed and ground special cutting tools from prints. I operated CNC mills and lathes on a
regular basis aswell asran a manual Bridgeport mill. Iwasaskedto maintain and repair machines
on a breakdown basis when needed. I was the Safety Manager on the day shift.
Accomplishments
While at Xcel I reorganized and expanded the tool crib to increase efficiency in locating tooling.
I also implemented cost saving measures for the use of shop tooling. My organizational skill
allowed me to create a more efficient wayto manage tooling and decrease downtime andincrease
cost savings.
Maintenance Director
Manitoqua Ministries Frankfort,IL - March 2003 to December 2006
Responsibilities
I was responsible for the care and maintenance of this 85 acre retreat and summer camp facility.
This included the grounds, dining hall: offices, retreat facility, cabins, pool and bath house and
four residence buildings as well as a fleet of vehicles. I was responsible for interior and exterior
surfaces, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Maintenance and repair of kitchen appliances.
Maintenance and upkeep of the pool and septic system subject to state standards and inspection.
I was responsible for compliance to safety regulations subject to state and local inspection. I
supervised and directed a full and part time staff. I was responsible for recommending and
purchasing all material needed for maintenance and repair of the facility. I maintained logs and
records of all work and repairs.
Accomplishments
While at Manitoqua I made recommendations and oversaw the design and build of a new 5000
square foot maintenance facility. I designed and oversaw the remodel of the entire office
complex. I was responsible for remodeling the bathhouse as well as the addition of a new
bathhouse to one the the retreat facilities. I obtained my Pool and Spa certification as well as
passed the class for a Class Ill Water Operator in the state of Illinois. I oversaw the construction
and connection of all facility buildings to a new public sewer system.
This demanding position required the use of all my skills and the development of some new
skills. My mechanical skills allowed me to diagnose and correct problems. My communication
skills were improved as I had to deal with a variety of people from state and local inspectors,
other members of the management staff, employees under my direction, outside contractors and
guests of the facility. Organization and time management were also an asset in this position.

I oversaw the day to day operation of the company. I was responsible for purchasing, managing
the office, operating machines and oversight of employees.
Accomplishments
I began my career here in this family owned business. Starting at the bottom I began maintaining
the shop and cleaning machines during the summers while still in high school. I began my
apprenticeship learning to sharpen cutting tools. I learned hands on from my father and the shop
foreman. Over the years I was given more responsibility as I continued to learn all aspects of the
business. I attended South Suburban College where I earned my degree in Machine Tool
Technology. After my fathers passing in 1990 1 took over ownership of the company.
Skills Used
I developed most of my skills while working with my father. My natural mechanical skills were
enhancedgreatly while here.I learned communication skills in dealing with customers,salesmen,
and company employees.
