Professional Experience
Surveying and Mapping LLC (Austin, TX) September 2014 – Current
Help Desk Technician
 Daily task of diagnosing and repairing computer hardware on location or on the phone
while remotely accessing the end users’ laptops, mobile tablets and computers using
Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection (RDP), Cisco VPN, DameWare or Microsoft Lync
2010.
 Responsible for new/termination of employee account setups, from creating/deactivating
a user’s account in Active Directory, email account in EMC (Exchange Management
Console), Security Access cards managed in GuardAll, network printer/scanner user
accounts and install/maintain/inventory computers, laptops, cellphones, iPads and
Shoretel (VOIP) phones.
 Responsible for the purchase of the A/V equipment and installing and maintain the A/V
equipment for the online video conferencing and board presentations. Plan, manage
contractors (if required) and hands on install the CAT5/6, HDMI, TV and projector per
project requests and create a user’s instructions document.
 Responsible for maintaining IT equipment in peak working condition by repairing the
hardware or by reaching out to the vendor for RMA repairs or swaps.
 Maintain an inventory of all active and decommissioned equipment to keep an accurate
record of company assets for management reviews.
 Maintain mobile device services with ATT and Verizon along with troubleshooting cell
phones (iPhone, Android and Windows mobile OS), iPads and tablets issues.
 Maintain an accurate resolution knowledge data base for future reference to formulate
preventative or resolving measures for frequent and reoccurring issues.
 Participate in On-Call for a week at time, once every three weeks; in covering calls,
responding to alert emails, and responding to the ticketing system alerts to provide Help
Desk support during the after-hours from 5pm to 10pm.

 Responsible for installs of high end Audio and Visual systems in commercial and
residential buildings, everything from wiring to partial and/or complete programming
macros for the automation systems of: URC remote controller, Mirage music server, RTI
processor/remote controller, Cisco router/switch and Apple Airport Extreme/Express
network WAP.
 Main duties were, installing and managing the WAN/LAN networks for homes and
businesses using: Motorola/Cisco Modem/Router/Switch, Sonos Bridge/Sound Bar,
Mirage Server, and Apple Network devices including: Iphone/Ipad, Apple TV, Apple
Airport Extreme/Express.
 Hands on experience in managing and installing WAPs using Cisco/Linksys and Airport
Extreme/Express products into small to large businesses and homes.
 Installed wall ports into finished home's and commercial structures for RJ45/RG6 and
RJ11 usage by probing for studs and electrical wires to correctly run the necessary
cables to the location designated by the client.
 Testing/tracing a new or an existing RG6, CaT5/CaT6 for LAN access and RJ11
connections within the client's home/office for continuity so it can be used for automated
AV/VIOP and Ethernet network systems.
 Other responsibility is to work solely on service/maintenance calls for our existing client's
system by providing a health inspection of the automated environment, troubleshooting,
retrograding an existing system and managing all of the RMA that is required for the
client's electronic components.
 Responsible for making new RJ45 (CAT5 and CAT6), RG6, RCA, VGA and splicing
power cables on site for different needs or resolution to a failed component line.
 Installing on site Security Camera(s) and the DVR with remote IP access availability for
the Client on Laptop, Iphone/Ipads.
 Excel in working with a large and/or small group to completing a installation for the AV
racks, small Network modem/routers for home/commercial WiFi system and complete
speakers installs onto ceiling/wall/patio locations.
 Daily responsibility included: working in a fast paced team environment to complete a
project from start to finish, contacting the client to set an appointment from a service
request, responsible for a daily report to the accounting department and to the manager
for the end result and solution with the billable hour(s) information due upon completion
of each service call.

IT Help Desk Contractor to SDSA (Samsung) at SAS
 Installed hardware and peripheral components such as Samsung and HP monitors,
keyboards, network printers and replaced HDDs on over 3000 employee computers.
 Maintained and troubleshoot electronics failures by providing hardware/software solutions
in a large enterprise environment that is contained in a strenuously monitored clean room
environment with strict protocols along with multiple large office areas with at lease 3000
PC/Laptop and Mac computers.
 Installed and troubleshoot software packages such as: Office Outlook 2010, Active
Directory, XP/Vista/Window 7/8 enterprise operating systems to the office Servers,
PC/Laptops and Macs, including all in the clean fabrication (FAB) environment and office
areas.
 Extensive use of programs like ACRONOS to migrate or re-image a HDD/SDD for clients
with a disk drive issues.
 Replaced RAM, HDD/SDD, DVD/CD, Motherboard and NIC cards for all Windows and

systems (BugZilla/SSRM) for administrating/maintaining Windows XP/Vista/7/8 and Mac
